I don't recommend them to anyone. I took my car to then for a new stereo install in my car and they had literally torn up my dash! Then they tried to day they didn't do it. I had fog lights installed and the trade off was The new guy breaking my drivers side door handle! I wouldn't mind if he told me but he gives me my car keys and doesn't even say a word that's pretty fucked up!!! And on top of that I was still charged $140.00 and a smile smh if you want something done bring your car to big Apple Music trust me!!! read more

Totally unorganized establishment, with poorly stocked shelves of both new and used stereo equipment. First impression upon entering was that it was a pawn shop of low quality. The new stereo equipment had so much dust on them that you could write your name legible on each box. The used equipment sitting out looked sketchy at best, with price tags on them you would expect on stuff found at garage sales. I don't know about the quality of work done but if is anything from first glance probably same quality as products on shelves. I'd love to say something nice about this place as the owner for years has come off as a great guy ... HOWEVER ... I recently made a trade with him (first time doing business here ) I NEVER leave a bad review . Traded about 1000 $ or more worth of audio for rims . Rims had tires (bald and one with a plug near the side wall . I finally got them mounted and switched my tires over , they were Shakey (especially at 55+mph) I then went and had them professionally balanced no change whatsoever soooo I contacted him about a trade back and hoped he would make it right. At first it seemed as if he would however now he refuses to answer told me to stop calling and at most offered me a "partial" trade back even though I'm down at minimum 400$ cash after the trade back ... At this point it looks like I'm stuck with useless rims , no stereo and 400$ in the hole for no good reason . I personally wouldn't recommend this place from this point forward after what has transpired and the way he has handled my issues . Basically it's every possible excuse and reason he's in the right and I'm in the wrong . These guys are amazing!!! I had an issue with a car starter install done elsewhere that no longer has a technician. The manufacturer helped me over the phone, but needed me to take it to the installer to check a couple things because he thought it could be a quick fix in person. The original installer, which I have an active warranty plan with, was not helpful. They told me I could go an hour away and the earliest appointment was in 45 days. This was with me being locked out of my car for days and also having it not start 90% of the time. Then they offered for me an appointment three days later but a 3-1/2 hour drive away and $200 up front to diagnose. I told them the manufacturer had me write down what he had discovered but they pretty much didn't care. So I called and drove to four other places that were not able to look at it, and then found this place and walked in. The staff at Chudman's are AMAZING!! Totally down to earth. They were slammed but still acted as if they had all the time in the world for me. They checked out my car. Checked multiple things. Discovered it was an easy fix. Smiled, had great conversation, answered other questions and were overall extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind hearted. I actually had to ask the man how much I owed him when he told me to have a nice day and tell him I wanted to pay him something. He saw that I have other customizations in my car and an audio system I put in. He checked it out and fixed some settings I didn't know how to adjust. Instead of trying to sell me something new, he said I had a great system and we rocked it out for a few. There's more I want to do to my car, and I've found a great place that I will give all of my future business to. What a great group of guys. I'm already planning future installs for my car... Bought a remote start for my truck. Was told there was a full warranty and was assured to stop by if I ever have any problems. Then when the remote completely falls apart simply sitting in my pocket and I take it to Chudman's they say the warranty doesn't cover it. The remote cheap quality and fell apart. They were rude and very dismissive and then said I would just have to buy another remote. They selling cheap electronics for hundreds of dollars more than they are worth. The technician thinks he's a genius and is extremely rude. Would recommend taking business anywhere else. This place will SCAM you. read more

If you value your car and your money, go to Big Apple (I'm not endorsing them, they're just the ones I went to to get my audio fixed when Chudmans screwed it up) Just got back from Iraq, bought a new truck, and decided to get the audio system upgraded. Looked on google maps, found Chudmans, and decided to give it a try. That was a nice $500 mistake. Went in for my appointment, his workers began working on my truck. They finished up and dropped my truck up front, I hopped in, turned the system on, and was immediately disappointed by how terrible it sounded. It was obvious they didn't tune it or even attempt to, and there was a burning smell in my cab. Dealt with it sounding shitty for a few days before I looked on Google maps again and found big apple, decided to go give it a shot. Walked in, talked to the guy at the counter who was pretty nice, and asked how much to get my audio tuned, they said $20, I agreed obviously, and they went to check out my audio. They walked back in, looked at me, and said word for word, "you don't even need to tell us who did your audio, we already know, it was Chudmans". Was pretty confused until they showed me my truck and all the things wrong with the installation. First off, burning smell = subwoofer pressed right up against my rear seat which gave the sub no room to breathe and ended up ruining the sub The grounds were ran to painted surfaces when they should have been run to bare metal The wires were a complete mess and were tangled up everywhere, there wasn't even an attempt to wire them correctly The amp was obviously tuned in a hurry and had incorrect gain and has the bass boost all the way up (which big apple said is what people do when they want to do a quick time without actually tuning it correctly) My back seat plastic was all scratched up, and I also have a nice scratch on my head unit from them letting it dangle by the wires and hit the plastic And they had also ran the wrong wires to my head unit which made my head unit controls act all funky Was extremely mad, and after talking to the guys at Big Apple, they said they'd fix the wiring and redo the installation for cheap since everything was already there. In the end I ended up getting another sub from them (don't get the shitty powerbass sub from Chudmans, they're garbage like all the brands he carries). I got two JL 8"s instead and by the time I left my audio sounded a 1000 times better than before. Once again, I'm not endorsing Big Apple in anyway, just posting them here because they're honest and really damn good with what they do, but honestly go anywhere, as long as you don't go to Chudmans and end up feeling like an idiot when you're paying all over again to have someone else fix it. Hired Chudmans Audio Arsenal St to install a home audio system... Got the more expensive receiver that was supposed to be easy to run my iPod/iPhone through. It has never worked. Chud was supposed to come back to figure it out but instead stood me up a couple of times. Half of the time the I can't even get the receiver to turn on so most of the time I don't even use it because I don't want to have to go to my basement to turn it on every time. Spent good money on this system... Hard lesson learned. Tried to keep it local but I guess next time I will use Best Buy. read more
