While waiting for my doc appointment, I went here for lunch. Place was packed with employees, more so than patients, and I have to say I was struck by the meager offerings. The layout is confusing, hodge podge, one basic grill station with way too many orders and not enough cooks, though they're all trying their best and hauling ass :-) Two refrigerated sections of prepackaged foods, mostly healthy, sort of paradoxical since they have bags and bags of potato chips surrounding all the gluten free kale/spinach oriented stuff. Very funny. They have a board of daily three soups and specials, plus drinks, on the healthy side. Didn't see sodas, thank heaven. I get the sense they're trying to figure it out. The food options simply weren't varied enough. They also had a salad bar, and because I'm so petite, my arms wouldn't reach the middle and back row of the salad bar, so I was excused from eating salad for lunch :-) Chagrined to say I got an Angus beef burger with cheese, good thing I didn't have an ppt with a cardiologist. The seating is open with glass everywhere, sunshine streaming through, super comfortable padded seating, with tables that you can move closer to you, not the fixed kind as in a fast food places. In keeping with the decor and minimalist modern style of the hospital, every=thing is white and steel and glass. Everyone I interacted with was super friendly and helpful, directing me to the cutlery, napkins, and water dispenser, etc. This is not a shabby beginning but they need to work on offering more of a varied menu and organize the set up more. read more
