Even on the hottest days this park can be enjoyed by people fishing along the lake shore or in a boat, but do know "excessive noise prohibited" and a fishing license is required. I spent time birding since there are plenty of trees for the birds to hide within, other birds were found along the water's edge or down by the cattails. I can imagine this park being busier in cooler temps as there is a ball field and an activity court for all sorts of games. Plenty of places to picnic on the grass or the ramadas. I look forward to visiting in other seasons! It's a City of Tucson park worth checking out!

Lakeside Park is a great place to take the family not only do they have a lake for fishing but also you can take the kids to feed the ducks, I love the fact that the playground and all the fields are very lit up especially since my niece play soccer it's really nice to know that the field is nice and bright so that you can watch and enjoy the game even in the fall months, There always seems to be some type of police presence in the area that's a good thing that way you don't have to worry about someone trying to break into your vehicle are you watching the game. It's a great little park nestled inside the neighborhood on the east side of town

We like coming to this park. I really enjoy watching the sunset from the hill. You can see the lake and the sunset. Very pretty

This park was a favorite spot when I lived on the East side of Tucson in the 90's. I used to ride my mountain bike up and down the sides of the lake, and loved this place. I had heard it had "gone downhill" over the years, so I decided to check it out myself on a recent trip to Tucson. I was SO PLEASANTLY surprised it was still very nice...(even better than I remembered!). The lake is clean, and there is plenty of places and ways to enjoy the water. I did not see a lot of trash on the ground, and there were ample garbage cans around. There were about 5 people fishing in the lake, people feeding the ducks...kids playing on the playground, ...and people just sitting by the water. Two separate parking areas, one over looking one side of the lake, and one on the other side where most of the Ramada's are. A hidden gem in Tucson, and well worth a visit!

Peaceful and calming are the waters here... It was a nice overcast day and I got to enjoy lunchbreak with my fiancé.

He did it to other campers as well. I come from a fire fighting family! Well aware of the danger. The host at the entrance who took our money was his wife she yelled at us all . Including the other 6 campers who were there to complain, said we were all stupid and that she quit. Mind you not one person was being rude or yelling. I deal with people daily. There is one error I'll note with her review which is minor but important; you ARE able to reserve locations at Rose Canyon Lake. It's on numerous websites and even by calling, you can. No worries though, small detail but again, her review is amazingly full of all details that I found across three different websites and she put together for you! On a more simpler context I'll say this about Rose Canyon Lake, It's super tiny, very hilly (which I prefer!) and unfortunately the campsites are not 'near' the water. However with 70 some sites, you'll often hear someone near you because the trees deaden so much surrounding noise, you'll hear your neighbor; warning! In fact, our neighbors had to be reported on our visit in May because they were just obnoxious and atrocious with incredibly foul language - throughout the day and well past the quiet hours. Let's be honest, you come to the forest for some peace and quiet. Had we known there was a Ranger on duty throughout the night, we could've communicated that but we learned this the next day. RCL is small, beautiful with surrounding hiking and about 30 degrees cooler than Tucson. Win. Never saw the little 'Lake Store' open during our May visit but no worries nonetheless. Cell phone signal is absent in all the campsites unless you climb the hills around the lake. For at least the four phones with my group, that was the norm. You can use a canoe, ONLY if you pay extra for this. Not sure what good that is but the extra pay keeps you and other out of the water I suppose? There are also a generous amount of restroom spots throughout and some are unisex ones, most, with water spigots. You never have to go to far for a potty break so that made my daughters feel more comfortable. The wildlife surrounding is filled with humorous crows and tons and I mean TONS of squirrels of different species. The pine smell and the beautiful temps in May are a win... One final note, they make it much safer here by implanting 'bear proof' trash and campsite specific lock boxes to store all your food safely out of reach of Bears at night. This no doubt dramatically reduces interfaces thus, making it safer for continuous use as a campsite. The campsite Rangers where attentive and polite and overall, we highly recommend this location albeit secluded, no cell service and a bit on top of your neighbors. No real negatives per se except that the lake is REALLY tiny but is a reprieve nonetheless! It's a nice break from the heat of Tucson and the fresh pine smell is a win!

This store was recommended to me by my family member that lives in Tucson. I live in Scottsdale, so I will be traveling here to complete my certification and I normally wouldn't do this as there are many places in my area that offer the same thing. I can't wait! I already feel very optimistic for my class in August. Updated review to come! Review update 8/28/16: Just completed the class portion of my open water scuba training and it was awesome! I'm so happy I finally did it! They were super accommodating to my schedule since I would be coming down from Scottsdale and staying at a hotel do do these classes, so I ended up doing a double class on Thursday and finishing up the pool/classroom 3rd and 4th class on Sat/Sun. I had Chris for one of my classes and he was great-made the class fun (bc it was only me!) Debbie for the rest of the classes and pool training was absolutely awesome! I had anxiety about taking the mask off underwater and she really helped me through it. I did struggle with it the first day and still had trepidations about it. The second day I ended up conquering it!! I now feel very comfortable doing it, even though I'm not the fastest at it, I can do it multiple times with no issues! Debbie you rock!! Thank you so much! You really can tell every single person that works here truly loves their job and they take your training very very seriously. Crazy amount of cumulative dive experience in one place! Can't wait to go on a dive trip to finish my certification!

After Colton made a call, no agreement was made as he said the Second Amendment offer was junk. Fast forward to yesterday. Went to make an offer if the boat was still there. Colton was firm on his price. Asked him if my motor would fit this boat? He said he would have to find out and give me a call. Today, I went to Mainline to give Colton what he wanted for the boat even though he had never called me back to let me know if my motor would fit. (I had come home last night and done my own research. I was informed that all motors have the same bolt pattern, and they are all interchangeable. Something Coloton must have already known since he owns a boat repair shop that does this all the time.) Upon arrival, Colton informs me that he had taken a deposit on the boat yesterday. When I told him I was there to give him what he wanted, the deal was on. I gave him the money, my id, and we started doing paperwork. An emoloyee was sent to get the boat ready for me to take. 5 minutes later... Colton asks if I had the Second Amendment offer to add. I told him no, I gave you the cash you wanted. I thought about bringing him the Second Amendment offer for a brief moment, then decided it just wasn't right for Colton to change the deal now. The deal was off. At this point, several employees (Family members) came in to back him up. None of them had ever been around for any of our conversations. Oddly, by the time I got home, they had put a working motor on the boat and sold it for nearly $8000 more than our agreement. Just more lies. If you decide to do business here, make sure to bring a witness with you. His Family will say they were there when they were not, and Colton could go back in his word.

Ended up spending $800 to have the gaskets and float replaced and no running motor. Took the boat to another mechanic and he said Moxie didn't use a carb repair kit, which includes the needles, just a gasket kit. I understand that it is an older motor, but they should say they don't have the expertise to properly diagnose and repair the issue. I do not recommend Moxie Marine, especially for older motors.
