I was ignorant to what Chubbies was. But my friends couldn't shut up about it. "Let's go to Chubbies" one of them said before we went the the Marriott Marquis for our annual staycation. I figured why not? It would also give me the opportunity to see what the fuss was all about. So I drove to the store and found parking. Once inside, we started looking and I was intrigued by the patterns on the shorts and decided to try them on. And yeah, I walked out with a new pair of swim trunks and a tank top. Shopping experience wasn't too bad at all. The staff wasn't suffocating us while we browsed but available when we needed help. I gave them my email address when I made the purchase and the receipt was emailed to me. They also sent a $10 off coupon for being a first time customer, but the coupon was only good for online purchase and expires within 14 days of you receiving it. I, of course, made good use of the coupon and now have several pairs of Chubbies at home. One thing that kind of bums me out after the fact is that I read Farrah A.'s review about the free beer when you shop/browse. Nobody in the store said anything about this. Not even when I came back a second time. Not sure if this is an ongoing thing or if they were having an event. But if it is an ongoing thing, do let your customers know about this please. I mean, your merchandise aren't exactly cheap you know? Maybe it would hurt us a little less when paying if we were a little tipsy, you know what I'm saying? Sky's out, thighs out. read more

Can't get enough, the material lasts me years, the prints are all conversation starters, the workers are very nice and helpful, my entire closet is chubbies and I'm lucky to have lived in Houston where the only chubbies store in Texas is. Can't recommend it enough, long love the weekend! read more

Ok let me just say I meant to complete this post last week but time & my 13 month old daughter got away from me. My husband has one pair of chubbys he bought online. We never knew this store existed until I stumbled on it last week while out for a meeting. I was so excited. When I walked in Jerimiah was there and he greeted me w a hug & bubbly personality!!! I was so happy to hear that a Chubbies shop opened up in Houston! This is such a cool store and the staff is super nice. They were out of the Miss Merica's in my size so one of the guys offered to have them shipped to me, for free! I wish I could remember his name...cool dude. Y'all have to check this place out.
