Jeep service Started with drop off on Friday, August 1st 8:00. A rental was reserved & assigned to me because advisor stated Monday would be the earliest completion. Text message received Friday afternoon at 2:13 pm stating that our jeep was dispatched to a technician. More on this later but I considered a positive & that we would at least have a diagnosis. No further updates though I did reach out at 4:51 pm hoping for new information, no response. Monday August 4th came & no over the phone updates and only text messages after I reached out. 1:16 pm Message was "Andrew, wanted to check in and let you know that we're still looking into what exactly is going on with the vehicle. I am hoping for an answer by later today but worst scenario it could be tomorrow! --Jared Harvey Coon Rapids CJDR" Tuesday August 5th 8:04 am - finally received the diagnosis and the technician was working our Jeep. All via text message & asking for my approval via an electronic form. The technician's diagnosis video was helpful but I would have preferred speaking to someone to understand the repair cost breakdown etc. Later with No updates I reached out for any new information. The advisor stated that they needed to obtain parts( rear shocks ) from another dealer but were striving to have done on Tuesday 3 days into a fairly basic diagnosis & repair. All through experience I was the one reaching out for updates. Tuesday afternoon asked for an update stating I could not afford another day of rental fee. Advisor stated he would not charge for the additional time. Wednesday morning was the target for completion. Wednesday noon reached out for the 4th day update - no text or call back and so I called at noon and left a message. 1:13 pm - Received a message that the dealership was having internet issues but he would keep me posted. Again another day with all communication by text, no follow up personal phone communication apologizing for the inconvenience & unusually long repair time. At 2:33 I texted that I was coming to the dealership to wait until the Jeep was done as we had a concert to attend. I had other errands to attend too so I was not going yet. Important things like picking up prescriptions & picking up my wife for a concert. 4:01 pm received an automated message stating - "Final bill came to $1503.77 out the door. --Jared Harvey Coon Rapids CJDR" Additional information- This cost does include $100 for a Jeep Renegade rental. So a pretty expensive diagnostic cost of $260 plus and the parts & labor to replace 2 shocks. 4:15 received a text that Jeep was done- "Hi Andrew your vehicle services are complete. You may use the attached links to review and pay your invoice online (link to view) Thank You again for choosing Coon Rapids Chrysler Jeep Ram Dodge as your service provider - Jared Coon Rapids CJDR" Upon picking up I asked about what does dispatched to a technician mean..? Advisor on duty stated it meant that a technician was assigned to my jeep and was to perform the diagnostics. Overall a stressful situation that has me believing I need to switch vehicle brands where I can receive personal & effective & efficient service. Sad to say, I have started to search for a new vehicle and not a Jeep as other Jeep dealerships rated no better than this one. If I could give a negative point I would. read more

They fucked my car up so bad that my heat is broken now. 21k miles and 60k down the drain. Just got it back after nearly a month at the dealership because they kept fucking it up trying to fix the air con only to find out they broke the heat. Cheryl prompt returning phone calls and addressing my questions. Service Advisor. Dustin-was great, showed us how navigate the UConnect system as we are somewhat technically challenged. I bought this car from Cameron who was a decent salesman. However, that's where the pleasantries ended. I went to pick up the vehicle the following day to zero coolant being found in the vehicle. Went in and they seemed surprised that it was empty. A coolant petcock was found to be the issue. I took the vehicle to a reputable place for inspection where they found many issues with the vehicle. The oil they changed at the dealership was nearly three quarts over full. The coolant the dealership used not compatible with the car and required an extensive flush to ensure the new coolant wasn't contaminated with the coolant the dealership used. One of the key fobs given with the car is inoperable despite battery replacement and new fob had to be ordered to get rid of dash warning lights. The dealerships "inspection and service" apparently doesn't include replacing the worn and cracked serpintine belt either. If you want a car that will last, don't trust the service at Coon Rapids. read more

RUN AWAY. Worst example of a dealership ever. TERRIBLE service department. Call to schedule an appointment and was told they have courtesy cars. I show up 2 hours before the appointment and was told they do rentals at $50/day. So, I decide to not do a rental and leave my car to be diagnosed. Appointment was 2:00 on Wednesday. Was told Thursday at 10:00 it was "next in line" and I would be given an update later that day. Why have a scheduled appointment time if you can't hold that, but I get things happen and sometimes service departments get backed up. I worked at a dealership as a technician, and I get things happen, no problem. Thursday goes by with no update. Friday Morning I ask for an update and my vehicle is still "next in line". So, now 2 days have passed without it being looked at, and it would have been $100 in rental fees if I had taken one. So, I refuse service and tell them I am coming to get my vehicle. It took 15 minutes for the service advisors to stop talking to each other and acknowledge me. There was no apology or effort to make things right, and then it took another 15 minutes for them to pull the car around as the service advisors went back to BSing with each other. The poor porter was the only one working that position, was running around like crazy, and the only one that actually apologized for the poor service. Keep in mind all of this happened with a dealer that charges $260 just to look at you vehicle and those charges are separate from the repair costs. I've had an absolutely wonderful experience here. I called to ask some questions about some vehicles I was interested in that they had on the lot. Ty was quick to answer any questions and very knowledgeable on my follow up questions. We arrived late at night (6:30 pm) and still Ty had EVERYTHING ready for us to test drive and sign! The sales team and Tim were equally as efficient and kind. No one pressured me into anything and explained everything we needed to know. I have 1 year left on my Jeep lease and I CANNOT wait to walk away. I have dropped this Jeep off twice for oil changes and other various types of service. I need a courtesy vehicle given this is the only car I have. Both times they committed to getting me one prior to the appointment and failed to deliver both times. When I would call for an update on the status of my vehicle or the status of a courtesy vehicle I would get sent from department to department and eventually would be told to hang tight and the courtesy vehicle department would be calling me back. They never did. I had some family members and friends looking to buy Jeeps/Rams and made very sure they went to Bloomington or LITERALLY anywhere else. They were not answering my simple questions, like can I get in today and how long would it take. If I wanted this kind of service I would go back to McCarthy auto world. Pretty poor customer service (waiting in line for 10 minutes while the employees chat with each other. Not even making eye contact to say we'll be with you soon. Just ignoring people. Someone went to put my keys in my car before finishing checking me in and stopped to chat with another worker for 5 minutes on his way back to help me). The receipt said customer requested filter change (I did not request that and they did not ask me they just did it and wrote that I requested it). Their prices are really high in my opinion. $145 for an oil change and tire rotation. Also both times I was there other people were there complaining about how horrible things went for them. Wish we would've checked reviews before going in since if you look you can clearly see you should never go here. Adding: prices/service outcomes/etc are not a good reason to be mean/rude/yell at the employees checking you in/finishing your transaction. Most things are not in their control or their fault. I wish I could give them zero stars. This place is corrupt and dis organized. They do not stand behind their product and they take advantage of their customers. Do not trust them. I bought a battery from them in November of 2023. The battery went bad in may of 2024. Less than a year old. I took my truck in showed them what I had from my credit card statement and they were fine with it. It took them three days to change the battery and they were calling the wrong number to let me k ow it was done. When it was done they wanted to charge me 220 dollars for labor. I refused to pay and they were extremely rude and we ended up having them take the battery out because I wouldn't pay. No one said anything to me when I brought it in and I was very upfront that I bought it there but did not get it installed there. But then that was an issue when they wanted there money. Untrustworthy and incompetent Service Dept. I'm the original owner of a 2016 Ram 3500. Love my truck when it works. Hate that I can't find an authorized dealer I can trust, or a Service Manager (Brian Stumpf) that cares enough about customer satisfaction to at least return calls !! On 2/16/2024, it started by Service advisor "Natosha Kezar" doing a very poor job writing up my vehicle concern in the same detail that I provided (evident after being handed a copy after the vehicle inspection was paid for). The concern as I described it would have lead a decent mechanic to take the vehicle for a test drive-- The lack of detail may have caused the mechanic to approach the concern differently, because he didn't test drive my vehicle to try and duplicate the concerns I described, he just warmed the truck up in their warm shop and proceeded with a handful of tests! The icing on the cake is when the service advisor told me that the mechanic recommended a tire rotation, to my reply--"why, they were brand new less than 4 weeks prior, with less than a 1000 miles on them". She had no comment--- nothing ruins a customer's trust than trying to sell unneeded services !!!!!! I complained to Ms. Kezar, no reply, multiple voicemails and emails to Mr. Stumpf to his old and new email address, no reply, I called the receptionist to complaining to Mr. Stumpf's Manager, she said she didn't know who that was !!! read more

I was extremely disappointed with the treatment I received after I told you that I would take my car somewhere else. You pushed my Durango between two parked cars which made it impossible to get into the vehicle. You had a crew of people watch the tow truck operator struggle to load the vehicle with no offer to help or move the other cars. Occasionally, one of your crew would walk by my struggling tow truck driver to be sure he didn't scratch any other vehicles. Still not offering to move one. The battery that you insisted on replacing is holding a charge. The radiator that you said was leaking isn't. I couldn't have been more disappointed with the "service" that I received. read more

Horrible service! Do not go here to service your vehicle unless you have time to waste. I made an appointment (earliest was 2 weeks out). Bring in my car first thing in the morning. They said they would contact me later about my car, it would be later afternoon, or maybe even next day. Never called to let me know anything. The next morning at 10Am, I sent them a text asking the status of my car and they replied with "they were running behind, but your car is dispatched and we hope to have word by early afternoon." I don't hear anything else, so I text them again at 4:15 and get a message back saying "sorry, it's going to run into tomorrow and as soon as I know what it is, I will text you!" I informed them I was coming to get my car. No apology or any explanation. Just gave me the paper work and that was it. After 2 days, going into 3 that they did not even looked at my car. Don't waste your time here! They suck at communicating the status of your vehicle. They don't care about their customers, obviously. read more

Taking a star off for my recent experience with the Service Dept. Apparently CR's definition of Express is very different than Mopar's. It's advertised as "fast and convenient". I don't see how 2-1/2 hours fits that description. After pulling into the service area and walking inside, it was more than 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged that I was standing there. When I was finally addressed, I asked for an oil change and tire rotation, and was told that the wait would be 90 minutes or more. That's express? When I asked if I could get on the list and come back, I was told no, that I had to leave the car as it was a first come first serve basis and that appointments took precedence. Anywhere else I've used some sort of express service, it usually means that a separate bay is set aside for this, not waiting to see where the work will fit in. Luckily, I brought my laptop so that I could work while waiting, although lunch with my wife as promised wasn't happening. About 40 minutes into the wait, I noticed my car was up on a lift. Good, I'm actually going to get out earlier than expected. Nope. It took 45 minutes to complete the work! Again, how in any way is this express service. I eventually saw my car driven out of the work area and brought around to the service desk area. So I gathered my things and got ready to be checked out. Nope, 15 minutes later I was still standing in the waiting area. Eventually one of the service desk people asked me which car I was waiting on, and I pointed out the one right in front of us. She told me to come right in and they'd get me checked out. Another 10 minute wait as there was some sort of computer issue due to the dealership running month-end reports. Finally, my work order was processed, but not before telling me that only one of the two coupons I brought in would be honored. Not because of any clause limiting the number of coupons, but because one was supposedly a Mopar coupon rather than a CR CDRJ coupon; the other was both. I pointed out that I downloaded both from CR's web page, but that didn't seem to matter. At this point I just wanted to get back to my day, paid, and left. Brought my jeep in for door lock repair. Not only did they waste a day ordering a part that was for the wrong kind of Jeep, but they could not repair the door locks without charging an additional $1000 surprise part because the tech was "not qualified" to actually do the necessary repair work. THEN, they broke my sun roof and claimed I broke it. It was working the day before I brought it in, then wasn't working when I got it back. The manager I talked to talked all around the issue and failed to take responsibility for breaking my sun roof. I wish I could put less stars than 1. NEVER go to this scam place! The 2nd time, I was told one thing and then they come back and said "he might have misspoke"...So then they come back and tell me they can make it right by giving me "employee pricing" and then I go to find out I was being overcharged by $700. Went in to trade in my car. I have had a loaner car more than I have driven it. They agreed to put in a new screen with backup camera and blue tooth on 2018 wrangler. . The back up camera worked for about a week and the radio system which had great sound then was blurry, so every time you turn on car it's complete static in the car. They told me the soft top was black, and it's actually tan. It had no windows to zip in the soft top, it also was missing half of the bolts and the tools to make the car go from hard to soft. I made an appointment for repairs on December 20th, the soonest time was Jan. 18 at 8:20. now in my entire life an appointment is an appointment whether I sit there or drop off, but not at this dealer apparently if you drop off your vehicle the night before it negates your appointment and they have 24 to 48 hours to get to your vehicle. So I waited 30 days for my appointment then all day and they never got to my car, called the service manager he said if you are not sitting and waiting then they have 24 to 28 hours, so at 5 they still had not looked at my car so I picked it up and went somewhere else. Then a manager Devin Preston followed up with how my appointment went, said I could contact him so I did. We finally connected on Wednesday and he was no help at all just said that is the way they do things and he was sorry I did not understand. Well I do understand and I will never go back to Coon Rapids Dodge Dealer, this is not my first bad experience with this dealer since I purchased my van from them but it is my last. I recently stopped by to test drive a Jeep Gladiator and was approached by Christie a sales representative walking the lot. I was very interested in driving the Gladiator to which she announced that unless I was buying that day I wouldn't be allowed to take it for a test drive. I have to say that's the first time I've had a salesman turn down a potential sale because of their arrogance and ignorance, maybe she forgot she's in the sales business. The service center made a diagnostic error and did the wrong service...which was admitted in writing by their service manager Raelee. They refused to take accountability for the results. They did offer to refund the service but would like to pretend that they bear no responsibility in the effects of the bad service. Their service director Dan Hahn then proceeded to state they provided the appropriate service, contradicting his own service manager and then refused to respond to my questions. Their business model depends on customers not having time to pursue small claims court or other ways of holding the service center accountable. Do not trust their techs or advisors. I'm sure some are great but if you get a bad one the service center won't care. read more

Went in to look at a used Ram with 88k Miles....I emailed with a web sales guy (Caz) and asked specifically if the truck includes any warranty to at least 100k and he answered yes. Made an appointment to take a test drive and was helped by Ken.... In again asked if the truck was warranties to 100k and he answered "Yes". After asking for just $400 off the truck to account for tires that would be needed soon we came to an agreement and I was ready to purchase...I was even willing to finance through then if they could match or beat my credit union. After a while, ken comes back and says...I'm sorry...we made a mistake. There is no warranty included.... He " checks" with the finance guy and tells me that the warranty to 100k (less than 12,000 miles) would cost another $1,000. Yeah... One person making a mistake...I might give then the benefit of the doubt. 2 people making that mistake and not "finding out" until I'm ready to sign papers..... That folks is called a SWINDLE. I told Ken that I felt like we had a fair deal to which we both agreed to and that this definitely felt like a swindle..... And said if there is nothing you're willing to do about it, then we are done here. Wastes an hour and a half of my time. Just either stay away from this dealership or know that they will try to pull crap like this. Its a shame ..... I had purchased 2 vehicles from this dealer about 10 years ago or so. So I brought my car to the coon rapids dodge for a oil change as I have done for the pass few years , I've never taken it anywhere but dodge to have it serviced. So this particular visit the service rep Nicholas told me they did a inspection on my vehicle and I have some leaks happening which was the oil and he said transmission, so I said yes I've noticed under my car has had oil drips on my garage floor, I proceed a week later to repair cause I don't want to have engine damage. Long story short I paid almost 2000dollars, for all that he told me needed done and the same day I got my car back it was still leaking in the same exact spot I let them know and brought it back to them and was then told ohh it's leaking from the top, and that will cost over 3 thousand dollars, wtf.... if you did a inspection and told me it was what I paid for to be fixed then why is it still leaking in the same exact spot that it was leaking in before you so called fixed what you told me was leaking. So now I'm pissed cause I paid money for something that wasn't even leaking and dodge will not fix or accommodate for there mistake. Unbelievable and I feel taken advantage of. read more

Had a situation where I needed to head out of town, a 2,000 mile trip and needed a simple oil change. I work alone so I'm unable to just leave work. trying to schedule a oil change for early morning the next 3 days was not possible period. I understand first come first serve and support that practice. This dealership performed brake work and left a bungy cord wrapped around my sister's axle. We did not notice it until we heard noises under the vehicle while driving several months after the work was completed. She contacted the dealership and they were absolutely not surprised, and did not even apologize. Based on their response, I sense this happens a lot with them. This shoddy workmanship is unacceptable and created a safety problem....horrible response to their horrible ERROR. The problem that I have with this dealer is they try to funnel all normal maintenance work (tire rotation, oil changes etc.) through their express lane so you can't schedule an appointment. I called down to make an appoint and was told to use the express lane, I went down and was told "maybe we can get you in, in an hour or two"... sorry but I'm not trying to spend an hour or two waiting to see if I can get my oil changed and I'm NOT going to spend time away from work during the day because not many people use the express lane during the day because they can't manage appointments and it's easier for them. Where to begin... In April we brought truck in for service (under warranty). CR ChryslerJeep fixed the problem but a new part they were putting on, later found out that it was defective, broke. We were given a loaner while waiting for new part. Communication is poor at CR. Sure brand spanking new, bigger building but you all need to communicate with one another mostly with your shift change service managers. Lastly, we had truck in at a smaller mechanics place last week for a squel noise and told the serpentine belt was on wrong! I have bought 2 vehicles at CR site. I plan to go to Roseville site in the future if I need service with the truck. read more
