Cleaning was fine until the hygienist tried to sell me antibiotic treatment that costs $90 for each administration suggested and is not covered by any insurance. Showed me a picture of how the bone holding the roots of my teeth would erode and my teeth would fall out. Meanwhile I had no cavities or gum issues. Came back to replace silver filling and was charged for an upgrade that I was never told about. When I inquired about it she stated that the ones that insurance covers are not that great so the use a different one that isn't covered. Don't you think that you should make the patient aware of that? The only option on the paper said "upgrade" in parenthesis. I am thinking that this is standard and not one person stated that my insurance will not cover it. When I checked out, she stated that I should pay the remaining balance of $598 and they will give me a refund if my insurance pays more. I refused and she came back with another amount $254 stating that she checked online and that would be my responsibility (I already payed $550 just to make the appointment). Long story short, I payed $804 and my reasonability as per my insurance was $254 but since I signed for the "upgrade" I am not entitled to a refund. This office is unprofessional and I will not be returning.

Literally was talking to me about how if I don't get the treatment I could lose all my teeth one day. YET I have no cavities and am completely fine. Serious scheduling and professionalism issues at the front desk…read moreI want to lay out exactly what happened because I think other patients deserve to know before they book here. 6/24: I called and scheduled an appointment for 7/15 at 2:00 PM. For the next two weeks: I received zero confirmation -- no call, text, or email. Nothing. 7/7 (first call): I called myself to confirm since I'd heard nothing. The front desk staff member answered, then abruptly told me to hold while she started talking to someone else on another line. When I asked if she was even talking to me, she hung up without a word. I had to call back a second time that same day just to get an answer. She confirmed the appointment and told me she'd call again two days before to reconfirm. Two days before the appointment: That promised call never happened. One day before the appointment: She finally called -- only to tell me the doctor no longer had my confirmed time available and asked if I could take an earlier slot instead. Less than 24 hours' notice to completely rearrange my schedule, after being told twice that everything was locked in. When I explained I couldn't make the new time, she offered a next-available date that was also too far out to work for me. She has no real acknowledgment that any of this was an inconvenience on my end. She made no apologies at all time. The bigger issue: This wasn't one bad day. It's a repeated pattern -- no follow-through on promises to confirm, getting hung up on as a paying patient, and last-minute changes with zero notice. That's a work ethic problem at the front desk, and it directly affects whether patients can actually rely on this office. I originally chose this practice because a friend had a great experience with the doctor here, and I have no doubt the clinical care may be good. But I can't recommend this office as long as the front desk is run this way -- the disorganization and disregard for patients' time undoes all the goodwill the doctor may have earned. Management really needs to address this.

I went into this office today to talk to the doctor about a simple biopsy. I arrived on time and…read morewaited 1 hour for the doctor who I never saw. Mind you I did not have off I was expected to log back into work. I chose this doctor because he has really great reviews. The only person that was kind and professional was the front desk receptionist. I said hi to the doctor ( not sure if he was my doctor because he never introduced himself CLASSY) he was in the same room completely ignoring me. My case was not complex and perhaps there lies the issue. He could not make money off me that's probably why he didn't give me the same type of courtesy and respect as the people in the comment sections that just needed their teeth pulled out because that's instant money. Perhaps my case was outside of his expertise, which is strange but I did see another comment--similar situation similar experience. Wish I had saw that comment before I booked with this place. Not sure if it was racial bias, arrogance, or just outright unprofessionalism, none of it was okay. What I wanted was not even complex. I just needed scar tissue that was caused from braces to be removed because I got a prosthetic tooth installed and I keep biting the inside of my cheek. Is that not what Oral surgeon's do??? to me it seems like a simple snip snip. I would remove it myself If I could. Moving forward please treat everyone with kindness and respect whether you're making money off them or not. Furthermore, if the procedure is outside of your expertise then relay that information to your staff so that people don't waste their time commuting to your establishment where you don't even perform that type of procedure. Oh and the medical assistant, I don't know what her job title was but she was rude. I felt like I was bothering them. Finally, please deploy some type of integrity about yourself because it really is unbecoming of any business owner or professional. At the end of the day you serve the patients without the patients you have no practice

Extremely disappointing and misleading billing experience. I would not recommend this practice…read more Before scheduling my appointment, I specifically called the office to confirm that they accepted my MetLife PPO dental insurance. I was told that they did, and I was explicitly assured that if there were any reason my insurance would not cover the services, the office would let me know before I came in. Their website also indicates that they accept MetLife PPO. I also specifically asked about the cost of the services beforehand. During my appointment, the dental hygienist was supposed to inform me about an additional $395 charge but "forgot." I was only informed about this charge when I went to check out. At that point, I was pressured to pay the $395 and was repeatedly assured that my dental insurance would cover 80-100% of the costs. I have now found out that the claim was submitted as out-of-network, despite my having specifically confirmed my insurance status with the office beforehand, and my insurance ultimately covered none of the $395. What is most frustrating is that I made a point of calling ahead specifically to avoid exactly this situation. Had I been told that the provider was out-of-network or that I could potentially be responsible for hundreds of dollars, I would not have proceeded with the treatment. Patients deserve accurate information about both insurance network status and out-of-pocket costs before treatment, not a surprise $395 charge at checkout followed by assurances that insurance will cover it when that turns out not to be the case. I am extremely disappointed with how this was handled and will be telling my friends, family, and anyone I know looking for a dentist not to use this practice. I will be filing a formal complaint with the New York City Department of Consumer and Worker protection as well as the Better Business Bureau over these fraudulent and misleading practices.

I was a former long-time patient of a practice that Integrated Aesthetic Dentistry acquired and I…read morecame in to see them for a routine tooth cleaning (the appointment was actually with my previous Dr). In addition to the cleaning, they gave me thorough visual evaluation, and x-rays and although I found the cost to be relatively high, but I recognized that this covered more than just a cleaning, so I proceeded with paying. Subsequently, they recommended a second visit for a deeper cleaning, which was performed not by a dentist, but by their dental hygienist. To my astonishment, the invoice for this visit was twice the amount of my initial visit -- and at quadruple what is a reasonable charge. I would not have gone had I been informed that the fee would be $1,100... for a cleaning. I would not have agreed to this treatment as I only discovered this after the hygienist was finished and I was billed. I never experienced this issue my preivous dentists, in the 15-20+ years that I was their patient. I never needed to inquire about the charges before service was performed as their charges were always reasonable . Deeply concerned about the billing, I attempted to reach out to their office to discuss the matter numerous times. I left messages via phone calls (three times) and text messages (three times) without receiving any response. Effective communication is crucial in any professional relationship, especially in health care. The lack of response to my multiple attempts to discuss my concerns about the exorbitant invoice reflects a lack of courtesy and responsiveness that I find disheartening. It also concerns me that should I require emergency service I would be unable to receive it. As a conscientious consumer, I could not justify continuing with a dental service that not only grossly overcharges its patients but also fails to address their concerns in a timely and respectful manner. I believe that fair pricing and open communication are fundamental aspects of any reputable health care practice.

Several machines were rusty and dirty. The lead protective vest left residue on my clothing and all over my wife's skin. The cleanings were rushed, incomplete, and sub-standard. The associate also told both of us at the end of the visit that she was missing equipment. In response to our complaints, we were offered a free service that we declined. We were also told that the office has since replaced the protective vests and reassigned the dental assistant. However, we have two other serious concerns that we shared with the practice that were ignored in our emails: 1) The business does not appear to be registered with New York State, which raises significant concerns about its legitimacy. 2) The office's website is non-existent, and the business name does not seem to have any current online presence, aside from an outdated Yelp page (this one).
