Since it was just a very short ride, I wasn't sure that it would be less or not. They had to come from the northwest part of town. $50 didn't seem bad at all, even though it was a short ride, as the price of fuel is rather high. In Florida or Philadelphia, I'd probably have been charged $100 easily, and worse in larger metro areas. The driver was friendly and efficient and took care in positioning the chains so as not to damage the car.

There were 5 of us including a 9 and 3 year old boy and my 9 month old girl. My 9 month old was not happy and he even asked if he could do anything for her! When he helped transport our big group my 3 year old wanted to ride in the tow truck, not with the police officer. He was a little scared but Steven tried to comfort him. He seriously turned a frustrating possible scary situation into something not so bad. He was a big bright spot to our bad situation.
