As a single mom with a full time job, I have limited time and heavily rely on my vehicle, and I trust Elstro to diagnose issues honestly without pushing unnecessary repairs. Matt quickly found the problem, ordered the part to be delivered asap by his supply truck, and reminded me I was due for an oil change and asked if I wanted to get it taken care of while I was there because he knows its hard for me to find time to get the van to them! During the multi-point inspection, he showed me that my drive belt--which had been cracked since I bought the van--was now in much worse shape. He always explains what can wait and what can't, but this time it clearly couldn't wait any longer. Thanks to the inspection and photo, I felt confident getting it replaced. He ordered the belt immediately and fixed it as soon as the part arrived. They also noticed my taillight and license plate lights were out, so they replaced those too--saving me from a ticket and keeping my van safe and reliable. I cannot express how grateful I am for their services and also appreciate them squeezing in my oil change and repairs when I was just there for a diagnosis. They have a quiet, clean waiting room. They are friendly and explain things well. No one wants to pay for auto repairs but if you have to, I highly recommend Elstro Auto!

I've been a customer of Elstro Automotive since 2018, but unfortunately, the quality of service has steadily declined while prices have continued to rise. My most recent visit was for a diagnostic test, and they told me the issue was with the ECM -- which turned out to be completely wrong. I ended up paying for two diagnoses, one from them and another from a different shop that correctly identified the real problem. After years of loyalty, this experience was frustrating and disappointing. I will no longer be using their services and would advise others to verify any diagnostic findings before committing to repairs.

I was driving my daughter from Chicago to Ohio for the beginning of the school year last month and had the misfortune of breaking down on the interstate near Richmond. Not knowing anyone in the area, I was very uncomfortable thinking about where to take the vehicle and whether we could find someone who would not take advantage of our situation. We had a long wait for AAA to come to us and I researched repair shops in the area. I saw the reviews and called and talked to the owner, who said that if we could get the truck to him before closing he would make sure we got it looked at and fixed. I had the truck towed to Best One and Roger and his team immediately examined the damage to try and help us on our way. I was hoping that the problem was a minor radiator hose issue, but it turned out to be a blown head gasket. On my son's old SUV it would have cost more to repair it than the vehicle was worth. Roger called around for us and got us a great rate on a rental to complete the trip, and then called salvage yards on our behalf to get the best price for the SUV. He then allowed us to store the vehicle on his lot until we could get the title and get back to Richmond to complete the sale to the salvage yard. He had one of his techs named Peter drive us to the car rental office, and made sure we were taken care of. Peter spent the whole trip talking about how much he enjoyed working at Best One and what a great boss Roger was to all the crew. It really impressed us how much of a family the people at this place are. In all, Roger and the team at Best One made a very difficult episode easier for my daughter and me. They were honest and professional and really went out of their way to make out of towners feel welcomed and taken care of. I would recommend them very highly.
