I pity the poor admin staff at this facility. The left hand has no idea what the right is doing. This is not the fault of the nurses or front desk people; it's the administration. A little course in communication would help ease the frustration of both patients and staff. read more

Amazing and caring doctor, made my back pain go away! Office experience and assisting nurse went smoothly. Definitely would recommend Dr. Z. to anyone needing help with pain management. read more

Dr Z is hands down the best doctor I've seen for pain in CA. His procedures are always 10/10, he's very personable , kind and has a great memory. He's helped me this past year with multiple diagnostic procedures that I was very nervous to find a pain doctor I could trust. Dr. Z restored a lot of hope in knowing I'm in good hands every time. I was referred to him by one of the most respected, experienced, topSpine docs at Cedar's (Dr. Goldstein) as his top recommendation. I'd recommend Dr. Z to anyone with chronic pain, in need of pain management procedures or anyone who gets nervous for these types of procedures. His team is great too! 10/10. read more

Thank you for all you do & the life saving referral a few years ago. This thank you is way over due. When I had knee pain & collapsed Dr. Z says "How fast can you get here, come in now". Sincere thanks! read more

I went to see Dr Zarembinski for a consultation to transfer care from my MD who does not take my insurance, to an MD who does. He did not ask why I was there and abruptly left the session to go and consult on another patient problem. He never returned. He had spent most of the session looking only at his tablet. If I tried to interject , he told me to be quiet and that I was " overwhelming ". I asked the nurse afterwards if he could fill my needs and she said no. I asked for another MD name who could help me and she was to call me back the next day. She never did. I had been instructed by him to have some studies done. I did this . I did not hear back from the Dr. I called to ask if I could get his recommendation for follow-up care. based on the results etc . I was told I need to set up another appointment. Then was told I would get a call back a week later to set up the appointment . When I asked why I could not do it now, I was given no reason. I called back , got they to the scheduling extension, and spoke with the person that the nurse had refused to give me. When I asked for another physician in the clinic who could assist with what I initially came in for, after a long , silly and unproductive discussion with the nurse on the phone, , I received no assistance whatsoever. She told me to go back to my primary care physician. This was a very frustrating situation , all in all, , which achieved nothing but a waste of a lot of time and effort, resulting in no help whatsoever. I was back where I started. From the doctor, I received no humanity, empathy , or connectedness at all, besides not receiving the help I'd presented to him for in the first place. read more

Just like my previous review this is also way overdue. I met Dr Zarembinski 8 years ago after having a back injury and unsuccessful surgery and 4 steroid injections. They said he is top notch and only treats celebrities. He would bring his iPad to every single appointment and showed me his pictures with all the famous people he treated. Anyways, long story short, he gave me 3 more steroid injections plus 4 that I had before and after my surgery by 2 other doctors. I was scheduled for a 4th one when one day I woke up and my neck was soooooo swollen that you couldn't tell where i head starts and where my neck is. If I remember correctly it was a Saturday and I ended up paying him. He called me back and said it's impossible his Injections would cause that. I had total of 7 injections in 8 months. Only God knows what we went through until Monday morning when I called my PCP and all hell broke loose. I ended up having MRIs, ultrasound of neck, being referred to endocrinologist, and the list goes on. He knowingly gave me so many injections knowing that the max is 3 in 12 months and knowing that I had 4 prior injections. I developed all the major side effects of corticosteroid use such as a hump, moonfacing, suppresses cortisol hormone, elevated blood glucose, hair loss, dry skin and many other gynecological problems and worst of all depression, anxiety, insomnia. I wish I could just go and spit on his face and just tell him "shame on you". This disgusting piece of human treated me like a rat and overloaded my body with corticosteroids. I cancelled my appointment that I had with him for the 4th round of injections and started taking care of my other problems that I had developed due to his negligence. I'm so thankful that I met doctors overseas who have a brain and don't work for celebrity status and just because you have a great insurance and you're in pain they don't treat you like a rat. Shame on you Mr Zarembinski (you don't deserve the title of a doctor) for what you've done to a young girl and put her and her family through hell. read more

Dr. Z is the best I have had in Cedar Sinai Pain center and believe me I've had quite a few. He makes you laugh, comforts you and his nerve blocks are accurate. I have had two nerve blocks with him and have decided he is the best. I've had nerves blocks before through the years from 2000 to present and know what I am talking about. I highly recommend him Sholeh Shams read more

I've been bedridden for months with agonizing leg pain and weakness that has even driven me to the bowels of the ER. Yesterday, the stars finally aligned or something. After an MRI, l saw my fabulous orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Earl Brian who referred me to the equally fabulous and compassionate, Dr. Zarembinski. He walked in with a big smile and jolly handshake, eager to help my pain. He spent quite a bit of time with me, making absolutely sure I understood the exact type of nerve block I'd be receiving. He treated me not just a patient, but as part of his team. Dr. Zarembinski even printed out the particular medical block approach - with images. To say I was stunned to get this red-carpet treatment is an understatement. I am incredibly confident in this doctor's ability to help me, even if the block doesn't address the pain, we will have some diagnostic answers. If I could dance, I would. I left feeling satisfied and looking forward to my procedure tomorrow. Thanks, doc!! See you bright and early! read more

I had been seeing him for some time. I tolerated his overbearing attitude, like the way he pushed expensive and possibly ineffective procedures not covered by insurance, but I drew the line when he made a racist and anti-immigrant remark. I let him know that I did not share his sentiments, and his whole attitude changed. He became a total jerk. He wouldn't listen to what I was saying, refused my request for a procedure (which he is usually all too eager to perform) therefore delaying said procedure and having me suffer a longer time than necessary. I went ahead and scheduled the procedure with another doctor at Cedars Pain Center, so I know he was wrong, wrong, WRONG. I am so done with him. Plus, he is steroid injection crazy. I think he only has his celebrity b.s. status to fall back on, otherwise I'd think he'd be long gone. read more

Dr. Chris Zarembinski performed two radio frequency ablations on my lower back for pain management and it did not work. I am still in a lot of pain. Look out when a doctor warns that 'there is a percentage chance that RF may not work for some'. When I went to Dr. Zarembinski, he basically asks the patients "where you from" and "what is your favorite food". Small talk avoiding issues. At a follow up visit, after two surgeries, he said he could do another procedure (a third one) called PRP which works better. So I asked why he did not tell me that to begin with. He said "because PRP is not covered by insurance". The cost of PRP would have been less than Radio Frequency without insurance. After back and forth with billing department, I found out that if I had paid out of pocket for the radio frequency ablation with no insurance, my bill would have been affordable, but because I do have insurance, I ended up having to pay a 3X more deductible for a procedure that failed. Even though, the hospital received 20x more from insurance. It was because of the insurance that he did two surgical procedures. Insurance covers one side at a time. I was not told in advance that I would have to go twice. I did not know that he would only do one side of the spine until basically being rolled in for first surgery. And I had specifically made it a point that I wanted everything before the New Year to avoid more hospital deductibles. The second surgery could not be done before the New Year, so another big hospital deductible for me. He also pushes anesthesiology for what can be numbed locally. For the first surgery I chose numbing to avoid large anesthesiology bill. Doctor Z made me very uncomfortable during the first surger with statements like "now you will feel a sharp pain". He could have easily used the words like 'bee sting'. So at the second surgery I agreed to full anesthesiology of which another huge bill. read more

Well, it seems as though Dr. Z has one very angry patient who has posted the same review a few times (take a look at filtered reviews). It's hard to imagine that someone had a bad experience with this doctor, but for counterpoint, here is mine: I have been to an enormous number of pain doctors for my smashed-up neck, and have had multiple cervical treatments including epidurals and facet injections, with mixed results. The facet injections especially didn't seem to work at all. There are basically two top guys in this kind of pain management in LA. One is Nick Fuller, one is Dr. Z. I've seen both. Usually with pain management like this, a primary physician refers you and it's entirely possible you wind up on a gurney before you ever meet the pain doctor who is treating you for something that profoundly affects your life. Dr. Z was the first pain doctor to not just show up with a needle, but to stop and discuss IN DETAIL what was affecting me and what we could do about it. He walked through my MRIs and showed me things other doctors had never bothered to explain. Dr. Z was also the first doctor who told me I could have facet injections without anesthesia (you do have to be calm around needles to do this). Now, anesthesia is the WORST part of these treatments. This has been life-changing for me. Finally, Dr. Z's injections have worked and I have at least 75% pain relief if not better. In addition, he is a kind, funny guy, who does pro bono medical work in Ukraine, and the office staff at Cedars is almost universally lovely. read more

I just finished seeing Dr. C. Zarenbinski for a follow up visit after he injected my neck on both sides. He was so amazing. My pain is almost completely gone. Not only did he help my pain but he is a very warm, caring Dr. made me feel totally at ease. I would highly recommend him. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Z for years. I had "cage" S1-L5 Fusion back in 2006 and have been dealing with pain ever since. Dr. Z is a delightful, intelligent man who was very clear about my options and what we could try. He was also very clear on what the odds were of the effectiveness of the different treatments and was straight up about what was covered by insurance and what was not. I opted in to try PRP shots and I have experienced great results. Doc Z is always on the cutting edge of the PRP science and is as excited as I am about the possibilities of the future. No other doctor has done as much for my pain as Doc Z. Beyond the great medicine, Doc Z really cares about my situation and my health. Should I have pain he sees me right away and never rushes me out of the room. He is honest and I trust him, which doesn't come easy with me. No one doctor is perfect, but if Doc Z could be he would be and that makes him the best. Also, my PRP injections are directly into my spine and never once has Doc Z insisted I get knocked out first. Anesthesia is available if I should choose but I do not use it when I am getting injected. Although it isn't exactly fun, it's not that bad and Doc Z always keeps me laughing. read more

Dr. Z is a miracle worker !!! After my knee surgery 4 years ago I thought my playing basketball and snowboarding days were over because of the pain. But then DR.Z recommended PRP( platelet rich plasma) and I when from limping after to much activity to being 100% pain free. I have been getting them for 4 years now. Dr. Z made it possible for me to live the life I love PAIN FREE. So if u have pain anywhere he's the doctor you want to see. his knowledge and care is above and beyond any doctor I've ever seen. read more

I have my life back and am so, so grateful. Dr Zarembinski's procedure gets 5 stars as I had 10 years of facet pain / a type of lower back pain. I am now 90% better after 2 injections But the billing office gets 3 stars as it constantly bills me 2 months after each procedure for fees that I always pay on the day of service. Also, the bills do not have the correct diagnosis or procedure on them which is a big problem for me requesting to get reimbursed by my insurance. read more

Seriously Christopher Zarembinski is the best doctor in Los Angeles for pain management. I have tried everything for arthritis in my hands and in a few visits he made me pain free and able to get back to getting things done. He is quite amazing and gave me plenty options rather than taking drugs that affect the whole body. The facility it spotlessly clean and the entire staff, pre and post operative, are kind and caring.. I was able to have these procedures without anesthesia and the process was seamless. Clearly Dr. Z as he is known, is fast and highly competent with a strong team that surrounds him. He is happy an clearly loves his work and the results are much better than expected for both of us....I will no doubt return to Cedars Sinai Pain Center and hope that I am always able to see this fabulous person and his team read more

I can't believe the reviews I have read about Dr. Z. He is the most caring, competent and engaged physician at Cedars. His nurses and staff are amazing. I wouldn't think of ever seeing another physician for pain management. Michele read more

I stopped looking for pain management docs after finding Dr. Z. Three years of being to live and always knowing he is there to have my back!!(pun). I LOVE DR.ZAREMBINSKI! Now mind you if he were single (which i must clarify with the fact that there was NEVER any discussion regarding mine or his personal life so don't assume) I would propose marriage. Dr. Zarembinski is lighthearted, absolutely darling and a marvelous Doctor to boot! I have been to some of "The Best," (a classification given by patients and peers). Upon returning home from appointments with "The Best," taking note of my state of mind, i find myself pessimistic, frightened and feeling like there is no help for me. 'I have to have surgery'! Not true with Dr. Zarembinski. If you hear someone whistling most likely Dr. Z has entered the room. He is humorous, lighthearted, positive and confident probably because he knows he can and will fix you. He is eager to make recommendations and to refer to other doctors if he thinks that would be in my best interest. He is honest in explaining the level of relief I can expect and that he can provide (usually underestimates). Each time I have seen him I have received 100% relief and have only seen him twice in a year. My discomfort upon arrival to my appointment is over the top but temporarily wanes when he walks into the room. His values and personality clearly affect the staff, i.e., "the apple does not fall far from the tree." I can tell that they like what they do, enjoy and want to come to work in the morning (most days anyhow, we all have "our days"), care about the patient and want to impress but not in a syrupy/fake way. The staff completes the entire gift, just like the wrapping, the ribbon, and the card do to make a present special. From Ian in scheduling, check-in personnel, update assistants, prep nurses, to Dr. Zarembinski all have a part in giving me that gift of relief. I arrive home with a smile on my face, and there is not a cloud in the sky. Sincere thanks to ALL! ~e read more

Most comprehensive and clearly explained pain management doctor I've found for my mother in 4 years of searching. Excellent

Dr. Z is a wonderful doctor. He took my pain away with no complications in two separate events. First time I had cervical stenosis and the second most recent I had a herniated lumbar disc. He took his time with me, great listener, and explained in detail my tests and treatment options. I felt safe with him. I know he really cares about his patients. I have been a patient of Dr. Z for a year and a half. I have been to a lot of pain doctors but no one has treated me with the respect and dignity that Dr. Z has. He listens and he cares. I absolutely can't believe the couple of negative reviews about Dr. Z posted here. Really, I said to myself, "These people must have mistaken some other doctor for Dr. Z. This is just not him." I have been seeing Dr. Z for approx. 2 years and he is the most caring, patient, knowledgeable doctor I've ever met and I feel truly blessed to be under his care. I've seen other doctors at Cedars who are dismissive, especially if the patient is overweight. Although he is a brilliant, skilled doctor, he doesn't have the so-called "God-complex." Also, anyone who would spend a great deal of his personal time building hospitals all over the world in some of the most dangerous parts of the world is doing "God's work." I can't even imagine him having a bad day. He walks the talk and walks the walk of what it means to be a doctor--to help people. And, last but certainly not least, the nurses are fantastic, friendly and professional, as well as the front desk people. I'm embarrassed to say, one young lady up front always remembers my name and I don't recall hers, but I told her how nice it felt that she knew my name. I actually look forward to going to Pain Management at Cedars. Brenda L H read more

Dr Zarembinski is the least caring "physician" I have personally experienced. He is behaviour towards both patients and nurses is atrocious, rude and abusive. He swore at both the nurse and the patient during an appointment, gave cursory answers, assumed that the patient and advocate were ignorant. He attempted to speak over the concerns of the patient and patient advocate, and he accused other doctors with in the same office of mismanaging the patient's care. Be warned. Do not see this so-called physician. He is arrogant and self-serving and is not fit to see patients. read more

I have had multiple visits to see Dr. Zarembinski for numerous painful back problems. He was recommended to me by Dr. J. Patrick Johnson, an excellent neurosurgeon at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, Los Angeles. Each time I have seen Dr. Zarembinski I have been impressed with his caring manner, his kindness, and his knowledge and expertise in pain management. When I have an appointment with Dr. Z, it is not a dreaded ordeal because he makes whatever procedure I am having almost painless and I know that shortly after my visit I will be feeling much better. Unlike many people in the practice of pain management, he thoroughly explains what one's problem is, what he is going to do, why he is doing it, and what to expect before, during, and after the procedure. He takes time to answer any questions one may have in a positive, but realistic way. In addition, all of the staff and nurses that work with him are kind, caring and competent. Pain is a difficult problem, but Dr. Zarembinski certainly has helped me manage my pain and I would not go to anyone else. read more
