Took my Korean speaking mother here. After reading reviews I was skeptical. But I thought he would be kind since my mom is Korean and mostly deaf. Dr. Lee yelled at my 73 year old mom in a hostile way. He doesn't explain what he is going to do either. He forcefully pushed my moms forehead back into the chair and he forcefully inserted a nasal camera. No one knew what was happening. He said "she has rhinitis" and I said "yes, she mentioned something to me about allergies" and he yelled at me. "It's not allergies it's rhinitis." Well, excuuuuuise me! I work in healthcare and this is the kind of doctor I wouldn't want to work with and i definitely never want to be his patient. I worked with one doc who got so mad that he threw a blood filled syringe across the room (not with me, not a coworker and friend). He reminds me of him. Attitude wise. I thought being Korean speaking would benefit my mom, but what would benefit mom is a patient, compassionate doctor. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Lee for a year and a half now and he's helped me so much. I'm a very heavy sleeper; however, I had a tremendous amount of pressure develop in my right sinus and couldn't sleep normally for months. I underwent sinus surgery a little over a year ago and I felt so much better afterwards - I was able to breathe and sleep normally again. Dr. Lee works very efficiently (which I like) but he'll also take time to explain things and answer questions. I don't doubt that he is a smart guy but being smart with an MD doesn't allow you to treat patients like trash. I went in with a partially ruptured ear drum (25% rupture according to Dr. Lee). He told us that if I don't get it patched for $400, there's a "good chance" that it won't heal. That sounded a little off to me because when I looked online, it said most ruptures will heal on its own. So I asked Dr. Lee to give me a little time to discuss with my mom. He started to go off about how he's the one with the MD and years of experience and that discussing with my mom or looking online won't do anything. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. The worst person I have ever met. He is rude, childish, arrogant, and confrontational, and incredibly unprofessional. I went to him yesterday for a procedure and my parents called him the following day to ask questions about the insurance/procedure since I am still under their insurance plan. He then called ME to tell me to stop my parents from calling his office to which I told him that I cannot control who calls and does not call his office. He kept yelling for a while and finally told me that he had done me a favor and that I was "just like your mom" (what does that even mean?? he talked on the phone with her twice, I don't understand how this even makes sense) and to "have a good life" and then hung up. I was so angered by his behavior that I called back and he proceeded to yell at me again and mock me, asking why I needed my "mommy and daddy" to fight for me. Again, I told him that I could not prevent my parents from calling his office if they wanted to, even if I am over 18 years old because I am still under their insurance plan. And by the way, they have every right to call if they want to. As a medical professional, he should be able to deal with these things on his own. He should not be calling to yell at his paying customer/patient for something that I cannot control. Who does that?? He kept telling me how he did me a really great favor (how?? by doing your job???) and how he even pushed back his schedule to meet with me and then hung up again. So, I tried to call again since he kept cutting me off but by then he had blocked my number from his office lol. Coward. Undoubtedly, the weirdest and most insane interaction I've ever had with a doctor. I honestly felt like I was talking to a high school drama queen, but sadly he's probably over 50 years old. Professionalism, great friendly staff, quick appointments, affiliated with Emory Johns Creek outpatient surgery, consistent, and most importantly thorough. Dr Lee will not waste your time and money. He will immediately examine you and hook you up to his endoscope and ask questions afterwards. He will treat and suggest surgical intervention. WOW!! UNBELIEVEABLE!!! I was there a month ago and got the same treatment. I should have check the reviews first but I too was recommended to this guy. This guy was totally uninterested in my concerns, opinion, or symptoms. When they realized that I was cash paying - their immediate concerns were whether I could afford the cost for appointment that jump to over a $300-400 for his probe and a CT. I was in and out in about 10 minutes with a lousy Rx for nasal mist that I already had. I understand some Korean and it's seems most others (Korean patients) were clearly stating they wanted to use Medicare. Otherwise, it didn't add up. They had the audacity to call today to get me back for a follow up. This guy is raking in bucks but issuing F N Flonase to everyone. I give the sham -0 Stars. Stay clear, waaaaay clear!!!! read more

Worst experience!!! DO NOT TRY AGAIN This is first time I call Dr. Christopher J. Lee's office to make an appointment, When receptionist and her colleague having problem verify my insurance, I gave them the phone number on the back of insurance card and asked them to call those numbers. The receptionist called me back; telling me again that my insurance was invalid, the only way I can keep my appointment is pay cash in advance. I asked her how she got the information, she said that she had her own source to verify. She refused to use the numbers I gave to her. She transfer me to the other girl, we went through the same thing : only way to keep the appointment is pay cash in advance. When I asked her permission that I would like to call her back because I wanted to know what's wrong with my insurance, she hang up the phone when I was talking. I called the insurance company and confirm my eligibility, called them back; gave them the person's name and asked them verify again. She would not call and told me that the only way I can see the doctor is pay the cash in advance and hang up again. The girls voice was very cold, extremely short and no patience. they tread my like a criminal. I made an appointment with the other doctor with in 5 minute and without any problem. I went to Dr. Lee after experiencing dizziness and vertigo. He has quite a nice office and up to date equipment. That is the only positive thing I can say about him. As soon as he walked in it became obvious that he was not going to let me tell him about my symptoms or ask questions. At one point he even stated "just answer the question." I immediately felt like I was being interrogated by a police officer and not a caring physician. It appears to me he made up his mind before he even saw me that my issues were caused by anxiety. Needless to say, after dealing with anxiety for over ten years I know that it does not cause these type of symptoms. My life is better than it has ever been and I am quite certain this is not the etiology of my illness. Additionally, he wanted to prescribe me a steroid for nasal congestion. I told him that I cannot take such a medication and his response was "yes you can." He did not ask why or ask me to elaborate on why I could not. Of course the reason is that these types of medications have made me have nasal irritation and bleeding in the past. He never let me tell him that. He just wrote the prescription and completely dismissed me. He then rushed me out of his office with this prescription that I cannot take. He wanted to prescribe me anti-anxiety meds which are known to be addictive instead of telling me he could not find the source of my illness. Please do yourself a favor and find another doctor if you need to see an ENT. The reviews you see about him are for a reason. He is rude and not remotely interested in patient care. read more

DOCTOR IS A CROOK! DO NOT GO!!!! They take your money BEFORE you meet the doctor because it is "their policy." Doctor did not shake hands, introduce himself, ask any questions. All he did was start typing on the computer. It was like I was wasting his time. AND he will not listen. Don't bother trying to tell him what's going on. He talked to me like I was a moron --- when he was a complete jackhole. The doctor showed me my ears on the screen and said he would clean the wax out. I said that would be great. Then he started --- after he was halfway finished with the first ear he said "that will be $50 dollars - is that okay?" I immediately said NO! And to stop. YOU WILL BE CHEATED. Dr. Lee is an all over great doctor. My father saw him recently for some enlarged lymph nodes in his neck which we feared could be cancer. Over the course of two weeks my father was examined, sent for CT scan, seen again for consultation, and then scheduled to have an open biopsy at John's Creek Emory Hospital. We were anxious to know what was going on so Dr. Lee facilitated a surgery time on short notice. My father's surgery involved taking out a large lymph node that was fairly deep in his neck and yet my father healed beautifully, and had no pain post operatively. Dr. Lee was very involved with my father's health, and was wonderful in keeping in close contact with us from updating the status of the pathology to seeing how my father was feeling. Everything about seeing Dr. Lee was exceptional- from the office visit (beautiful office front and back), waiting time is short, personal attention, thorough in answering questions and explaining things, JC Emory Hospital was wonderful to us as well. He also treats sleep disorders, which happened to apply to my father, and has since helped him sleep better. I appreciate Dr. Lee and his staff. I feel my father is in the safest hands seeing Dr. Lee. read more

I came in just to have wax removed from one of my ears but he asked me to open my mouth and looked at my nose. I paid $50 copay and when I looked at the charges that was billed to my insurance, I was in shock, over $1,200.00 and one of the description said "nasal endoscopy"????What?? He only looked at my nose literally 2 seconds. I didn't have any problem with my nose but he kept insisted for some nasal spray prescription. I just couldn't believe the whole experience in his office took less than 5 minutes that costs over $1,000.00 to my insurance. I'm so regretted that I didn't do a research for other ENT doctors before seeing him. read more

My 60 years old mom was verbally abused, and my 70 years old dad was physically abused by Christopher J. Lee MD. I am a concerned GA citizen, and it is my sincere hope that people do not go to see him. My mom visited Mr. Lee's office to get a simple consultation on March, 02 2015. Days later, I found out that he charged her close to $1,100.00. Yes, over $1000.00 for a consultation. He filed claims to her insurance company claiming various procedures he DID NOT PERFORM. The consultation was $350.00. Mr. Lee is an allergist, NOT a brain surgeon. He claimed that he performed two different surgeries on her. You see, the whole consultation lasted for 3 minutes. Ms. Michelle Park (office clerk) stated that the two surgeries were just checking my mom's nose and ears. Shouldn't the procedures be part of the consultation? If they were considered as "surgeries", how could he finish that procedures all in 3 min? Since when checking ears and nose become "surgeries"? So basically, Mr. Lee charged my mom for performing so-called "surgery" on nose and another "surgery" on ears, and then charged them separately. My parents went to his office again, on March 5, 2015 to ask about the outrageous charges. Upon arrival, my mom asked about the charges, their conversation escalated to a point where Christopher Lee yelled at my mom using curse words, pointed his finger to her face and said "Why can't you f****** understand what I'm saying?". My 60 years old mom was treated like an animal. This occurred because Mr. Lee was reluctant to explain his dubious charges. After that, my 70 years old dad stated that he tried to call me, but Mr. Lee physically blocked and grabbed my dad's right arm and tried to drag him out of his office. After that, my dad stated that he felt dizziness (obviously from Mr. Lee's violent actions), so he wanted to use the restroom, but Mr. Lee said, "You are going to use the restroom for what? Get the f*** out!, I have patients coming in" to my parents. That afternoon, I got a call from my mom telling all this, and SHE WAS CRYING. I never heard my mom crying in YEARS. Next day, my parents and I went there, and I called a police to report a physical and verbal abuse by Mr. Lee. While waiting, I Googled him, and he had similar negative reviews on various websites. I know that he has very positive reviews, but there are companies selling fake positive reviews. As a very concerned citizen, I urge you to read some of negative reviews. His consultation and "surgeries" last for less than 5 min. While I was waiting for the police, I have seen patients coming in and coming out very quickly, all less than 5 min. How could a doctor see a patient that fast? The very first moment my mom walked in his office, he didn't want to listen her symptoms, and he cut her off and said, "Quiet, NO, NO, LISTEN TO ME!" How could a doctor treat a patient if you don't explain your symptoms? Mr. Lee is very violent, verbally, physically abusive doctor. It is my sincerest hope that anyone reading this do not go to his office. Let me start my review by saying that Dr. Lee is very knowledgeable. He was able to help me clear up an issue I was having with my ear, but after a few visits, he became rather rude. I noticed that his examinations were very fast. That is kind of good, especially because you don't have to wait long to see him, but this leaves no room for questions or anything. His goal seems to be getting all patients in and out as quickly as possible. At first, I brushed off his snude remarks to just get the appointment over with, not cause a confrontation and to just be done. Against my better judgment, I decided to make an appointment for my daughter who had been having issues and her pediatrician, the emergency room and even children's healthcare of Atlanta were not able to diagnose the issue. From the beginning when we walked into the exam room, I should have known to stay away. My son, 4 years old was standing against one of the chairs in the exam room where non-patients are to sit, Dr. Lee rudely advised him he needed to sit in the chair. I am sitting in the exam chair with my daughter who isn't even 2 yet who is already upset because she has no idea what is going on and is probably terrified. Dr. Lee decides he is going to take his hand and push her back into me because I guess we weren't leaning far enough back and then takes my arms and forces me to hold her tighter. Not asking me to lean back more or to hold her tighter, he physically put his hands on my daughter and I. I really wanted to go off, but I allow him to continue because I just paid $120 before he even saw her. He was able to diagnose her issues that have been going on since October and informed me that she needed tubes in her ears. Being thankful to finally have a diagnosis and hoping to have relief for my daughter, I still gave him a chance and proceeded in scheduling the surgery. On 4/25, yesterday, was her next appointment upon entering the exam room, my 4 year sits in the chair where non patients sit and I sit in the exam chair with my daughter, trying to console her as she is screaming, crying, probably because she already disliked Dr. Lee from her last visit with him and now I don't blame her and feel awful for subjecting her to him. He begins to tell me the time I need to arrive at the hospital and I nod and say ok. He doesn't say anything else so I assume he was done talking and I begin to speak. He proceeds with, "I was talking, you need to pay attention." Okay, now I am again feeling uneasy. I allow him to continue to look in her ears and nose and I try to ask him how exactly the procedure is done. He sounded annoyed and then belittled me like I was dumb. He says, "through the ears." I ignore the fact he just spoke to me like I was a nobody and again asked how the procedure was done. He again was annoyed sounding but explained without much detail what he will be doing. I decided at that point that I would not ask any other questions for fear that I would be belittled and spoke down to. I am a mother and concerned as well as nervous that my not even 2 year is about to have surgery, regardless of how minor of a surgery. It is major to me. If I knew all the answers, I wouldn't have been in his office in the first place. Well I allow him to finish and it is time to leave. They give the rest of what I need for the surgery. I still didn't say anything. The treatment I have received from him the past few times though weighed heavily on mind the rest of the day and into the morning. I made the decision this morning to call Dr. Lee's office and cancel the surgery as well as all future appointments wit him. I decided to make an appointment with a pediatric ent that I was referred to by a friend. I am thankful I don't have to deal with Dr. Lee any longer. While I think he is maybe good at what he does, his lack of respect and concern for his patients is what pushed me away. The ladies at the front desk are quiet but have always been nice and helpful unlike Dr. Lee. After our visit yesterday I went online to read reviews to see why I thought originally he had good reviews. That is when I was able to weed out other reviews of people who felt just as I did and some also stated they were being told by the front desk to go online and leave 5 star ratings. This review is based on my personal experience with Dr. Lee and his staff. Maybe some people have been treated very well by him, but I feel as if he should find a different profession since all he seems to worry about is speed and money and not the actual patient. I recently saw Dr. Lee for the nosebleed. I was surprised that he was seeing patients on Saturday and I was able to see him instead of waiting 'til next day for an opening. Office staffs were ready to check me in as soon as I was done with my paperwork. I would usually sit and wait for an hour to see a specialist. Seriously, this office wasn't, I was able to see him within like 10 min!!!! Dr. Lee was very funny, knowledgeable, took time with me so it was a easy to understand what was going on. I'm not going back to my regular ENT who I cant even see him when I need him. One of my friend saw him another day and she was also impressed by Dr. Lee and his staffs. Dr. Lee has been absolutely amazing with our 13 year old son. Dr. Lee is very thorough, detailed and adds a compassionate touch rarely seen even in the best doctors. He always takes time with us and we never feel rushed during any of our appointments. We highly recommend Dr. Lee. read more

My appointment with Dr. Lee was the most unpleasant time I've ever had in a doctors office. He proceeded to talk down to me about my academic history and occupation. He also was extremely abusive in the way he carried himself. He basically treated me as a second class citizen and was very rude and abrupt. He never want let you explain to him about yourself in a very short conversation, always cut you off, speaks no polite, rush end, He has heavy hand hurting me when checking my ears and nose. not trust him at all, so, I have to cancel the coming surgery. My husband & I have been patients of Dr. Lee for about a year. While he may have a somewhat abrupt bedside manner, he has always been very polite. I have never waited more than 5 minutes before being seen & I'm on my way about 10 minutes later. I had what I thought was a severe ear infection & was able to be seen the same day after calling in the morning, which was greatly appreciated as most specialists do not see patients on such short notice. I have noticed however that no matter why I am seen, my ears & nose are always examined & my insurance is billed a very large amount for 2 minutes of examination. He is very expensive considering the amount of time spent with you & the work he does. I would suggest being specific about what you want checked when you see him. They also schedule you for a follow-up appointment regardless of why you came in, so I often have to say I'll come back again when needed, especially if my ailment was a one time occurrence. I do trust Dr. Lee's expertise though & plan to have him fix my deviated septum via surgery within the next year. read more
