Needless to say, I took his recommendation after a failed implants due to a car accident. Dr. Pulver is more than passionate about what he does, and to me, he practices as if were art. Which is such nonsense .Needless to say my tongue is still numb going into year 3. All this because of over 10 shots to "numb" the area. This is just blantan carelessness and lies. Beware! Not to mention all the time and money I spent for this botched and traumatizing experience and the lack of taking accountability for his mistakes makes matters worse!

My dentist of several years sent me to Jay Platt for the extraction of two teeth. The first thing…read moreJay Platt wanted to know is if I was planning on getting implants from him, and I said no, my family dentist would be putting in implants. He numbed me and came back about 10 minutes later. From many years experience with dentists, I know when I not numb, so when he started yanking on my tooth, I immediately felt pain and raised my hand. I told him I felt pain, so he gave me more novacaine, but instead of waiting 10 minutes like before, this guy started yanking on the tooth right away! Again, I felt pain, raised my hand and said, "I can still feel that." He was behind me, and I could feel and hear an abrupt move that he made, and then I saw the plastic glasses he was wearing FLYING THROUGH THE AIR AND LANDING ON THE COUNTER ACROSS THE ROOM, followed by him saying, "I'm going to have to come back then!" in an obviously irritated manner. I would NEVER go back to this guy again. He's RUDE!!!

This place used to be good. My parents brought my kids here for years as a favor to me and my…read morehusband who both work full time. My husband signed us up for Care Credit and my parents were always able to simply tell the office staff to charge our bill to the Care Credit. Until our most recent visit in July. Suddenly we were told that an "authorized user" of the Care Credit account had to be there in person. And they only bothered to tell us this immediately before the appointment. They wouldn't proceed with the procedure (already scheduled to be over an hour) until this was resolved, even when my father offered to put the charges on his credit card. So my husband and I had to take significant time out of our working days to deal with this issue. We were told this was a change by Care Credit and that it was not Ridgewood's responsibility to inform us. I think they're confused between "responsibility" and "courtesy". Then it gets even better. Sometime after this fiasco, we received a bill for an additional $500 beyond the agreed to price. The reason for this is that they no longer accept our insurance, so this was the out of network charge. You guessed it, they didn't bother to inform us of this either. Even still, we were willing to pay this, although we honestly felts there should have been a negotiation because they should have informed us in advance, so they should have eaten some of the cost. No, no negotiation allowed. And we still can't pay with Care Credit over the phone. Only an in-person authorized user. Apparently these people really don't want to get paid. Well, as a last-ditch attempt, my husband called again today and was told if we didn't pay by the end of the day we would be sent to collections. They said we could pay with Care Credit online through their website. So we tried. Except we can't because their system doesn't allow processing of old charges. Fine, I've had enough. Take us to collections. That's not going to get you paid and you've already lost us as customers. Good riddance.
