Short and Sweet: Don't use AAA, they are horrible and make you wait 4-5 hours…read more What actually happened: I requested a tow at 1630, and was told that it would be either 90 minutes to 2 hours. Which is already absurd for AAA even when they use contractors. But fine, I wait. 2 hours go by....nothing. No phone call no text no updated arrival time on the website. I check the scheduled time and it still says at 18:40 even though it was well past 19:00 at this time. Anyways, I call back and they tell me that now they "don't know" when a driver is suppose to reach me! Wonderful news. But whatever I waited another hour and Still. Nothing. So at this point i'm shocked because AAA is known for hour service maximum, and it's not like i'm in the middle of nowhere, i'm 5 minutes out of boise. This is where CANYON COUNTY TOWING comes into play in a more direct fashion...I call back (3 hour mark) and almost lost my mind when i heard the dispatcher say "your driver said he can't get to you" and is unavailable. So after 3 hours of waiting and having this driver assigned to me over 3 hours ago he now can no longer get to me. 5 minutes outside of boise. They then say that NO ONE can reach me and that this now will be a code red and they have to find somebody else to tow me and can take up to if not over another hour. All in all I have been waiting on the highway watching cars fly by at 80+mph for 4-5 hours. And now must wait another hour for another driver. If this is how Canyon County towing handles their business as a contractor I can not imagine how horrendous it must be to request a tow directly. Stay away at all cost, and stay far far away from AAA and any contractors they use.
