Short and Sweet: Don't use AAA, they are horrible and make you wait 4-5 hours. What actually happened: I requested a tow at 1630, and was told that it would be either 90 minutes to 2 hours. Which is already absurd for AAA even when they use contractors. But fine, I wait. 2 hours go by....nothing. No phone call no text no updated arrival time on the website. I check the scheduled time and it still says at 18:40 even though it was well past 19:00 at this time. Anyways, I call back and they tell me that now they "don't know" when a driver is suppose to reach me! Wonderful news. But whatever I waited another hour and Still. Nothing. So at this point i'm shocked because AAA is known for hour service maximum, and it's not like i'm in the middle of nowhere, i'm 5 minutes out of boise. This is where CANYON COUNTY TOWING comes into play in a more direct fashion...I call back (3 hour mark) and almost lost my mind when i heard the dispatcher say "your driver said he can't get to you" and is unavailable. So after 3 hours of waiting and having this driver assigned to me over 3 hours ago he now can no longer get to me. 5 minutes outside of boise. They then say that NO ONE can reach me and that this now will be a code red and they have to find somebody else to tow me and can take up to if not over another hour. All in all I have been waiting on the highway watching cars fly by at 80+mph for 4-5 hours. And now must wait another hour for another driver. If this is how Canyon County towing handles their business as a contractor I can not imagine how horrendous it must be to request a tow directly. Stay away at all cost, and stay far far away from AAA and any contractors they use. read more

I called needing help cause I was at a car repair place and I needed AAA to call the repair place and confirm my insurance, I called this AAA and explained my situation and Peggy answered and she just said nope can't help you and hung up on me. So now I'm stuck here for another hour till a different AAA can call and approve me. I never leave bad yelp reviews but this was just so shocking and disappointing. read more

Greeted quickly at the counter, great little travel store with wonderful selection of travel items. The cashier for passport photos was nice and also very fast. I believe as a member the passport photo was about $6.50. More if you are not a member, but really if your not a member you should check that round thing that takes care of thinking! All it takes is one break down and you will see how worthy that AAA Plus member is of your hard earned dollars. The notary is normally in and she too was very helpful and understanding. Not really liking this place. Gave Tim Ciulla all my personal information over 2 weeks ago, still no response. No email, no call, no text... crickets! Was wanting a quote for home, 4 cars, and my RV. Guess AAA doesn't want my money. Kinda goes hand in hand with a recent AAA roadside situation that happened to my daughter on the 4th of July. She locked her keys in her car. Called AAA. Guy says he can't unlock her car but for $50 cash, he has a buddy that can do it! My petrified teenager paid this scumbag the money out of fear. When I later called AAA to complain, Nick sounded sincere and said he would research the situation and call me back. So far....crickets! As some have mentioned, the customer service at AAA absolutely sucks!! Gonna search elsewhere for insurance while telling my story along the way. read more

So on my third visit to where I bought the battery he gave me his number in the event I had problems with getting a battery under warranty!! I had no problem!! Im only giving 1 star because you have to give at least 1. I was very disappointed in the service I received on a recent trip to this office. I recently moved here from SoCal. I went to the aaa office to renew my membership (im a 20yr member) and update my address infomation for my membership as well as my auto amd renter's insurance. I advised the agent that we had already paid the whole year for our ins but we wanted to update our address. He advised that we would probably be receiving a refund. After a looooong hour of questions and painfully slow typing skills, the agent asked for $1400.00. I was VERY surprised as I had mentioned several times that we had already paid for a year's worth of ins. We left the office throughly confused about the monumental waste of time that had been, because clearly we werent gping to buy another policy. That afternoon I recieved a letter from aaa advising that they had updated my address info on my insurance policies since the post office had notified them of my change of address. It became clear that the agent I had seen that very day at the aaa boise office was intersted only in selling me policies that I didn't need instead of helping me with what I had asked for and wasting my time when he should have known aaa would automatically update my info based on the change of address I submitted w/the post office. What jerk that guy was ! Can I say his name??? Well im not sure if thats allowed. One of the reasons we left SoCal was because of con artistry like this! What a bummer. Thanfully this has been the exception, not the rule since we moved to boise. I've always had such fine experiences w/aaa-hence my 20yr membership. But this one was HORRIBLE!
