Outstanding. Just had deep cleaning and didn't feel a thing. Very patient and gentle.

Boyer started on the easiest stuff first, to get me used to being in a dental chair again.

This is one of the worst dental offices I've been to. I went to Dr. Smida regarding wisdom teeth…read moreremoval. Despite the fact that my dentist sent all of my current x-rays, they took more and then did a cone beam x-ray. All Dr. Smida had to say was not to remove the wisdom teeth. She sent me a copy of the cone beam report and it stated I had a tooth with pulp resorption which needed to be removed. I called the office to find out if she would take it out and she no. When I called back again to ask how urgent this matter was, I was told the doctor was too busy and to book another appointment to discuss it. I also did an oligoscan which I highly recommend but not at this office. I had some serious irregularities which Dr. Smida said she would have to check with her tutor for a treatment plan. When I spoke to her on the phone, her recommendation was to take epson salt baths. I've spent months researching what I need to do and have found her response to be pathetic. They won't even print the report for you; they email it. But they only email 2 pages even though there are 3 pages. Since I saw the 3 pages in the office, I told them I want the 3rd page which I did eventually get. This office may do the scan, but they sure don't know how to offer a treatment plan to fix the problems. I spent just over a $1,000 - what a waste of money!

TOTALLY DECEPTIVE PRACTICES!!!! I took my friend there today for a new patient check-up, in…read moreresponse to an advertisement sent to residents of Petaluma. Our first warning should have been the fact that they are advertising so aggressively, the second should have been that he got an appointment for a few days later. We arrived a few minutes early and there was no receptionist. The hygenist was answering the phones. In the tiny waiting room we could totally overhear through the wall (!) the doctor speaking with a patient in the exam room - we heard the entire conversation. So much for HIPPA and concerns about patient privacy. My friend had wanted a simple check-up, per the advertisement. However, they had him scheduled for a cleaning (which was to be a separate charge, of course, and was NOT what he requested when he scheduled the appointment). They also tried to force him to have x-rays (with an additional charge, of course), which he did not want. The hygenist initially said okay, that's fine, but he would need them later if any follow-up treatment was necessary. We agreed with that and understood. However, then the doctor herself came out and said that she couldn't do a check-up without the x-rays. We said that was false advertisement as the ad made no mention of a required separate charge for x-rays. We left and never had the check-up or anything further. As we walked in the door at home, the phone was ringing and it was the hygenist calling to apologize and tell us that yes, the new patient check-up DID in fact include bite-wings but not the full set of x-rays. So why didn't they tell us that at the time?!? She claims the doctor got confused. NOT a particularly good character trait for a doctor. I think we need a doctor who is a little more stable and prepared than that. I also think they were practicing the classic bait-and-switch and were trying to coerce us into paying for additional things that we did not want. A confused doctor, unprofessional practices, deceptive advertising, and a complete lack of patient privacy - NOT a good combination. Clearly they are desparate for new patients, and now I understand why. STAY CLEAR of this messed up doctor and dental facility!
