I attended Ema's four day retreat at the Hindu retreat center in Fennville, MI, and got exactly…read morewhat I needed! Everyone comes to a program such as this with various expectations. For me, it was to re-start my yoga practice and to find answer to several body issues. With Ema's years of experience and training she was able to guide me to those answers. I feel I'll be able to keep up my practice. As a very active 79 year old female, I understand body flexibility and mediations are key to the life I hope to keep living for many years. Thanks, Ema. The location of the retreat was a wonderful bonus. We were made to feel welcome into another culture and practice.

Carla Samson is a shining light. She helped me to clearly see my mission in life. And find a gentle…read morestrength I had lost. I had let my fitness diminish over the past few years and I was feeling a bit stuck in life, at a big crossroads. I signed up for a 9 morning class, learning The Samson System. We met at a sheltered area in a local park. Talked, learned, and shared for the first half of class. Then, onward to a spirited movement on a path through the woods. Coming back for a closing ceremony at the end of each class. She made it play. Not a workout, a play-out! My heart feels strong again. She guided me to new awareness of my relationships with big aspects of life such as: health, family, work, connectedness and loyalty. We looked a lot at how we hold some things as work and others as play. By week 8 my whole life is alive and transformed, re-invigorated. My 8 sessions (so far) have been truly transformational. I am not saying that lightly. This is not yoga as your conceptions hold it. This is what you have been seeking, A true growth experience, guided by a loving, caring person who knows how to lead you where you need to go. I also did a One-on-One private mentoring session where she enabled me to see my path clearly. I know my path now. I strongly recommend a private mentoring session with her. Her inner beauty eclipses her outer beauty. She has done her own deep inner work. She is clear, and she did not project her issues onto the participants in the program. You've got to experience your own energy that you will feel when inspired by Carla. Wow!

You are encouraged to go at your own pace with guidance every step of the way. I especially like the yoga wall where we use belts to help build the strength to do poses. And, the very best, we get to "hang" upside down on the wall. When we were first shown this pose, I was sure I'd never be able to do it. Now it is one of my favorite poses. My whole body feels rejuvenated after this one. There is a workshop coming up (October, 2019) on how to create your own home yoga practice. I have tried this in the past but it did not stick. I am looking forward to this workshop and learning how to do this.

She walked around and corrected movements in poses I thought I knew how to do! So nice to have someone who genuinely cares about the mind and body rather than just leading a class. Will definitely be going back.

The sound bath of 15 minutes started the session and 45 minutes of Reiki finish the session. Total cost of the session was $80 plus I left a nice tip. Very professional from the ease to setup the appointment on line and only had to pay a $25 deposit to hold the appointment. Alex did a pre session interview taking notes about why I was there and what I hope to get from it. I had read that if your energy was very out, it is better to have 3 sessions of reiki in 6 weeks. I used 3 different therapists for this. After the session, he had a written form of what he found, what he did, and the outcome. Besides the chakras, he also diid a look at the rest of the body. He texted me a picture of the sheet the next day. He was very understanding about the fact my late soulmate is very protective of me and needed to be asked for me to have any hands. Alex could even see EBS. I plan to keep my energy more inline since I have been fighting leg pain and weakness which has improved. I plan to do that quarterly so I do plan to return.

I was really looking forward to this class as a fun girls' outing, but the experience was…read moreincredibly disappointing. We let the instructor know ahead of time through someone already at the studio that we were running just a few minutes late. Instead of showing any understanding, we were told that if we weren't there on time, the doors would be locked. We arrived only five minutes late, and the doors were, in fact, locked. To make matters worse, we were still charged a no-show/cancellation fee even though we did show up. Life happens, and a little grace goes a long way. This felt unprofessional, inflexible, and more focused on collecting fees than treating customers with basic courtesy. As a single mom, it took time and money to plan this outing with friends, and it was supposed to be something uplifting. Instead, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience.
