This is a long overdue review for Teresa. In short, yes, absolutely, if you're feeling burned out,…read moreconfused, and unhappy about your job, please talk to her! I found Theresa randomly from an event on Yelp and I am glad I did. Last year, I paid around $800 for her Career Fulfillment Program with the Career Clarity Course. It looks like she has since revamped this program and doubled the price and added more coaching sessions--probably due to inflation and the current job market--but I would still recommend her services hands down with no reservation. For comparison, I had ran into a random internet career/life coach on social media a few months prior and that coach wanted to charge me $10,000 to help me find a new career in a completely different industry, supposedly without having to sacrifice pay. That felt unrealistic and scammy. Compared to scammy social media coach, Teresa's prices are reasonable and a great value and her program delivers results. Personally, I did not need help from Teresa with resume writing or interviewing. I was just feeling confused about whether my current career path was right for me and needed direction. I was considering a career change and was ready to throw away the career I had worked on for the past 8 years because I was so unhappy at my job. I felt so lost. Teresa's Career Clarity Course helped me do some soul searching and gave me areas to look into to figure out where my strengths, passions, and job priorities were. Finishing her course gave me a sense of direction and confidence for the next steps to take to find a fulfilling career. During the course, I was exploring new careers such as food vlogger/Youtuber, an entrepreneur owning a boba shop, or maybe go back to school to become a psychologist. Teresa gave me advice on how to research what these careers would look like or how to try them out without throwing away my current career and taking too long to figure it out. At the end, I realized I loved making money too much. While I believed I would succeed in a new career, it would take too much time to completely start over, so I was going to stay in my current field in tech. However, getting the idea from the personality test she had me take, I was able to do some research on Reddit and found a more niche role in my industry that was more suited for people with my exact personality type. I felt excited to try out this new role, because at least 3 others with my personality type, reported in Reddit forums that they loved it, so it gave me hope. The program was only supposed to last 3 months but as I was doing the program, my mental health got progressively worse from burn out at the dead end job. I eventually had to quit because I was so unwell and couldn't work anymore even after taking medical leave. Teresa graciously extended my program access for another 2 months free of charge and she and I met for one final coaching session where she gave me advice on how I could sell my translatable skills to pivot into this new role. Pivoting into a new but related role was a difficult task given the recent competitive job market and I got rejected a bunch of times at various stages, but I was on a mission to make sure I did not end up in a similar role as my last job and insisted on it after completing Teresa's program. It took 4 months for me to recover mentally and to find my current job but I am pleased to say I ended up at an excellent company with the exact role I was going for after some patience, perseverance, and luck. I've been at this new job for over a month now and I am very happy and I actually wake up looking forward to work! This rarely happened in the last 8 years. In addition to finding out a career direction, I also found out from the program that one of my passions was "creating and sharing experiences together". I have since used that discovery to encourage myself to start various social groups centered around my hobbies and have made new friends from it. I shared a story about creating experiences during my job interview and it played a part in my getting hired because the joy from following my passions really showed. I demonstrated the best parts of my personality and it just so happened to align with the company's cultural values. Teresa's program is life changing and it improved my life both personally and professionally. I am amazed at how insightful and intuitive she is. I really think she's found her tailor-made career for herself because career coaching is what she's meant to do. I am sure Teresa can help you, too!

She also helped me fundamentally change how I choose to take care of myself. I don't always make the best choice, but I also don't beat myself up about it, which used to then stimulate further less-than-healthy action. I can more easily turn away from what harms me and turn instead toward what helps me. Don't let the term "hypnosis" put you off. During the first half of the appointment, Shalynn asked many questions and built her framework for the second half, which was, for me, more of a very vivid guided meditation tailored specifically to my concerns. Those images now help me on a daily basis to live a healthier and happier life. Make an appointment. Now!

The sessions themselves were relaxing and thoughtfully guided, and I always felt supported and respected during our time together. However, I hired her specifically for weight loss, and unfortunately, I did not lose any weight despite committing significant time, effort, and money to the process. I truly wanted this to work -- but it simply did not produce results for me. I understand that hypnosis may work very well for some people. It just wasn't effective in my case, and I wish I had known sooner so I could have redirected my time and money elsewhere. If you're looking for a caring practitioner and are curious about hypnosis, she may be a good fit. If your primary goal is measurable weight loss, I would recommend going in with realistic expectations and understanding that results are not guaranteed.

The practice benefits from the environment of the building and the neighborhood. Kat's guidance and wisdom and her quiet calm approach, benefitting both mind and body, is the reason that I am writing. Kat has the life experience to understand and help uncover layers of the daily struggle we all encounter, the depth to understand and guide through personal and family of origin explorations, personal history, and the breadth to help individuals, couples, and families. She does not judge, she guides, sometimes simply listening, often reflecting. Her repertoire includes deep personal investigation and teaching experience in yoga, meditation and mindfulness, and spiritual exploration as well as traditional counseling and therapy. Kat is incredibly knowledgeable about the standard experts in psychology and therapy wile also offering a broad approach and the ability to reach for the seasoned experiences of meditative and spiritual masters. He helped me from struggling to getting a promotion! In one year! He is always prepared for every meeting and remembers everything we talk about. It didn't feel like a meeting with a coach/therapist. It felt like I was catching up with an old friend. I will more than likely continue my work with Shawn, not because I have to, but because I want to. Thank you so much for your help and support Shawn!

About a year or so ago I was searching for a career coach to help me find "the work I was meant to…read moredo". Prior to working with Shawn, I thought that a career coach would assess my skills and then tell me what role/job I should do. Very quickly, I learned that that was not how the process worked and I couldn't be happier to have been wrong. Shawns' process helped me uncover what truly makes me happy, what kind of team I want to be a part of, what kind of organization I want to be a part of, and most importantly what job responsibilities would make me happy on a daily basis. For anyone looking to get a better understanding of their skills and job desires and use that knowledge to find a role that fits what you're looking for, then I'd recommend working with Shawn. While I found Shawn via Yelp, I also found a handful of other career coaches on the platform. I chose Shawn due to his business background and the fact that he was a true "Career Coach". I had a business background so it felt like a good fit and I was looking for a "career" specific coach versus a "Life/Career" coach. I worked with Shawn (In-person - I used to live in Seattle) for ~6 sessions. He broke down each session ahead of time so I knew what work I had to accomplish before our meetings and what to expect to talk about in our meetings. The work was challenging and thought provoking, but it really helped me discover my skills, shortcomings, non-negotiable and ultimately led me to the work that I wanted to do. He helped me define what I was looking for in a role, including: team structure, day-to-day responsibilities, environment, reporting structure, and more. He helped me gain confidence that even though I didn't have a background in design, I had inherent skills and aptitudes for the field. One year removed for working with Shawn, I landed a new role in a new career. Shawn helped me find a career path and happiness in my work. Working with Shawn really helped me understand my abilities and clearly define what I was looking for. Once I was able to define my ideal role, I was able to go out and get it. All in all Shawn was a major asset to helping me find the role I'm currently in. I would recommend him to anyone searching for a career coach. Just know, the work is hard but very rewarding!!!!
