It was exhausting! When I saw that this office was less than 10mins from my house I crossed my fingers! Our initial consultation was very direct and straight to the point, which I really appreciate. Dr Brett explained all of our options thoroughly, and left me (and my kid) feeling really confident in the next steps. Our first appointment went great, with a few fillings but we were home within an hour. Our second appointment today was quicker and easier! I can't say enough good things about Dr Brett right now. It is so refreshing to find a dentist that you know you can trust. We left today, and I think it's safe to say that we found our new dentist! Side note: The staff is also amazing!

The front staff was so friendly but I wish I could say the same for the dentist I saw. I came in with a very specific concern only to be brushed off multiple times and offered no real solution. He never introduced himself, didn't take a look at my X-rays until after the exam when I tried to bring up my concerns (the assistant even asked if he had seen them yet when he came in so early and he just gave a very abrupt "no," which she nervously laughed off), and barely gave me room for questions afterwards because he kept trying to walk off! The place was practically empty yet the appointment felt very rushed like he just wanted to get it over with. I left feeling very frustrated and dismissed. I had to look up on their website to see who I saw and I'm positive it was Dr. Brett. If you insist on going here, try booking with the other dentist.

We came to South Ogden Pediatric Dental after a move to South Ogden. Pediatric dentists are hard…read moreto come buy in Weber County! I really liked his office staff personality wise and had no problems with their professionalism. The were easy to get ahold of and accommodating. The office is in a newer building and it is nicely designed. I had no problems with the aesthetics of the office. I have two main complaints about our experience here: First - I was assured that they accepted my dental insurance. I know that as a responsible adult I should have contacted my provider independently to check this but I typically have been able to trust dental and medical professionals when they have checked insurance coverage on my behalf. It turns out they did not take my dental insurance and we ended up paying out of pocket for three exams when normally our exams are free. After I paid our bill and told them my disappointment that they weren't on our insurance I got letters telling us to come back and treat my child. Ummm ... no thanks! I'm not paying out of pocket when we can go somewhere else and have insurance help cover the cost. Second - I felt pressured into services my last pediatric dentist didn't try to sell. For example, they talked me in to getting an exam for my 12 month old. My last dentist didn't check toddlers until 18-24 months. He also found some issues on my 5 year old that he wanted to treat preventatively but my last dentist wouldn't do any procedure on a child unless it was absolutely necessary. The strange thing is that while they wanted us to come back for expensive additional treatments my last dentist didn't let us leave without doing a cleaning. One of my children had some anxiety and South Ogden Pediatric Dental decided not to do ANY cleaning on her because they didn't want to make her anxious about the dentist. Well great but you still billed me for a cleaning! That really upset me. I'm the type of parent who would rather just have them do the cleaning and I'm not afraid to expose my children to uncomfortable situations if its in their best interest. I told them to just clean her teeth but the hygienist wouldn't do it. Overall I must say I only have one visit to base my opinion on. The staff was overall pleasant but this just isn't the office for me. Even if they took my insurance I'd probably look elsewhere.

Unfortunately, I stopped taking my children here because of the horrible front desk service I received mid 2022. What happened was one of my younger babies needed to be sedated for some work. I paid the 100 deposit needed for the anesthesiologist. Well they have a certain time threshold if you want to cancel or reschedule which means you forfeit the deposit if you don't do it within the time. As all parents know we have no idea when our kids will get sick. And my little one got sick, as soon as I noticed the first symptom, fever, I called them but they were closed, over the weekend as well. So on Monday I called them. And the person I spoke with, who sounded like they were really young said the deposit would be kept, i asked politely to speak with a supervisor. The girl that came on the phone also sounded very young and they were closed off, not understanding and not really wanting to listen to what I was saying. It was very rude. I tried to remain calm while they just restated that my deposit would be forfeited. And I should have called I explained that I had no way of knowing my kid would get sick, I tried calling and they were closed, finally when asking for some else they said the office manager wasn't available, I said I would wait for them on the line, they offered a call back. The office manager didn't call back just the 2nd girl I spoke with and she wouldn't pass the phone to the office manager just saying that the I would have to bring in my sick doctor to prove she was really sick. At this point I was upset and said you want me to take my feverish kid to the dentist at 6am? They said yes so finally I said yes but I wanted my deposit refunded. I woke my baby up at 6am and took her. The office people were very rude when seeing me. But I saw the anesthiologist and when he saw me with my daughter he chuckled at the fact that they made me bring her in while sick so he could see her. He did say yes she is sick she shouldnt be seen today. I left, they never refunded the 100 dollar deposit and when I called and asked about it, I finally said I wanted Dr. Wade to call me so I could speak to him. Seeing as they were being very rude. He never called me. I cut my losses and never went back but fast forward almost 3 years later they just sent me an obscure bill for 325 dollars with no details for the services provided. The administration at this office is the most unprofessional I've ever encountered. Their lack of compassion for my situation and my sick kid, their rudeness, disrespect during conversation is the very last thing any parent wants on top of dealing with a sick baby. And the fact that they are sending a bill so many years later shows the office is also lacking in paperwork and billing skills. PLEASE reconsider taking your kids to this office. I now take my children to Christensen Pediatric. The front office is lovely to work with. I was so upset by this situation that when a similar situation happened with Christensen Pediatric I was apologizing profusely because they were closed Fridays, and couldn't reach them until Monday, they said don't worry about the deposit we know things happen with kids. It was such a sigh of relief. Dr. Christensen is very fast efficient and caring with my kids also.

He too all the fears away and even impressed me. I'm currently pregnant and was worried about the x-rays, so the hygienist double upped the lead apron just because I was a little concerned. She continued with my cleaning and was so friendly, and did a very good job even though my gums are bleeding a lot more from the pregnancy. When Dr. Call came in he started up a conversation before he even started his exam. He creates such a warm atmosphere. Will his exam he did so much more than my previous dentist, checking my neck, TMJ, and mouth muscles. Gave good suggestions for my clenching at night. Just overall very helpful, and I would recommending to anyone!

Since leaving this disrespectful dentist, we have had the good fortune of working with both a holistic chiropractor, and a conservative dentist, in understanding the root of our youngster's condition. We have healed dental caries naturally and effectively, with only minimal fillings. This Dr Call also told us that at least one tooth's cavities extended past the dentin into the root. His letter was quite shaming, to say the least. The dentist we then went to that ended up filling the cavities that required it, told us it was close, but the cavity was not actually into the root. Do not cow to intimidation. Always question and seek second opinions. It's your right.

I sit in the chair the dentist comes in removes my dentures and proceeds to tell me how inferior and sub par they are and look terrible. This man wants me to have a conversation with him about my feelings on the set I have, my likes and dislikes. (Keep in mind I have not removed my dentures in front of anyone including my husband in more than 7 years. I sleep with them and only remove them to clean) I am not comfortable speaking without them let alone have a full blown conversation. This man sits me down, puts me in the most vulnerable position, tears me down, tells me I need tens of thousands of dollars in work that I didn't ask for... and THEN asks me why I seem anxious??? Like what? After all was said and done they refused to reline my current set as I requested for less than $700+ unless I agreed to their recommended treatment. This was the most humiliating and traumatic experience I have ever had with a dentist. I left in tears feeling hopeless, defeated and now self conscious. I would highly recommend you finding a different dentist to help you!
