While we look forward to continuing our time at CDA, the school could do better with a few things. What could be better... - be selective with the students who can join the school. I don't say this to mean discrimination. I mean this to say... not all girls want to dance. It's their parents who want them to dance. The girls get in the class and are disruptive and take away from the lessons. - enforce the rules you have posted throughout the halls. If observation rooms are to be quiet, then enforce that. - the front desk staff are polite. However, they should also be knowledgeable and helpful. I have left on many occasions, not getting the answers to the questions being asked. Why wouldn't the front desk be able to help a parent with identifying classes? - email is NOT the only form of communication. When do parents have time to chat with the instructor? Quick questions...seems like parents only get that opportunity if their kid is the one acting up. - the classes are getting larger, not sure if that is on purpose, or if people are making up missed days, but the classes should be capped. The dance rooms aren't that big, and given the instructor/dancer ratio... it only leads to more playing in the class vs. actual learning. - I can not say that in the time that we have been at the school, that I have ever met the owner. It would be nice if she would make her self known and dedicate one week to being available each day. All in all, I think the school wants to give off a homey vibe, which they very well do. But the business side that is very on top of payments does not align. When you pay for something, there is an expectation of service, and generally, that is not the laid back/passive approach. To be clear: - larger classes, should have two instructors that are able to redirect behavior. Or disruptive dancers should be dismissed from the class - dancer uniform should be enforced (no ponytails, jewelry, etc) - staff should monitor the halls for disruptive parents and guardians (asking them to step out with their sreaming siblings, etc) -offer time for the instructor to have a quick(5 min) convo with parents at some point so they know how their child is doing or what they should work on. - where is the dancer discipline? Even at the younger ages, you can set a standard to be followed. Recommended school, but would love to see standards and expectations that are higher.

Ms. Lynn at the desk is a sweetheart and has always been so friendly and answers all my questions. We have had classes with Brianna, Gwen, Makenna, Kaylie and Giselle over the years and they have taught the girls age appropriate routines and given them the foundational skills to continue in dance. Monthly pricing is very reasonable, the studio is always neat and decorated nicely. They put together summer classes and offer classes for adults too. I highly recommend Dance Infinity SA to anyone. The studio itself is elegant, comfortable and elite. The dancers have a huge cozy lounge with homework areas, changing rooms and lighted hair/makeup stations. They also have a full kitchen with a large table, fridge and microwave for eating dinner on long dance nights. It's like family when visiting. Our granddaughter is always encouraged to try every single genre of dance to determine her level. This place is top notch, SUPER classy and inviting all at the same time. This is her 4th year dancing so my wife and I (grandma and Grandpa) we've been to a few of her recitals in town and has performed in a most professional manner. Collective offers more genres than any studio we've ever been to... We also love that there is a strong ballet focus for those who are seeking that in a studio. We've never encountered such professionalism, strong focus on technique while also giving opportunities for all genres of dance! Our granddaughter would probably call it "dance heaven". They also have four state-of-the-art dance studios (with viewing for parents and grandparents) and even a karate school with two dojo's (Retro Sport Karate) that our Grandson also is a member of and has grown to be a Yellow Belt with notches. We are familiar with Collective's dance achievements after years of competitions, watching their amazing technique, beautiful choreographed dances, and the fact that they always came out on top. I watched on the camera app (which is very grainy and has no sound) and the teachers would literally just ignore him. There's no cameras outside and I had enough of this place when I surprise picked him up and he was sitting outside in the heat next to the door scream crying and no one was paying him any attention. They said he had been crying the whole time. I literally can't believe it. Pick him up! Nurture him! Help him feel safe! Instead they took away his stuffed animal puppy and just let him cry. Sending my 18 month old boy to this place is my biggest regret as a parent so far.

There was no enrollment fee or registration costs. Due to closures, the last day my daughter did a lesson was March 12, 2019. The site closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I was advised on April 20ththat the time missed would be added to the back end of the year . During the time the site was not doing classes and prior to the studio re-opening. I got an opportunity that was invaluable to me and we moved. We were apparently outside of bounds from any affiliate locations and unable to continue with VMA. Per section 28 of the contract means that I should have been refunded any remaining time on my contract minus a $150 cancelation fee. After much scrutiny, they finally processed my refund, but they only refunded me $985 with no clear explanation of how they came up with that number. There is nothing in the attached contract that justifies that reduction either. I should have been refunded $2018 but I was shorted $1033. $2600 / 12 months = $216 a month $2600 minus $432 for 2 months = $2168 (1/27 -3/27 even through last day was 3/12) $2168 minus cancelation fee of $150 = $2018 $2018 minus $985 (amount already refunded) = $1033 (disputed amount) I tried to rectify this with the site coordinator Mr. Price. He stated he was unable to refund this additional amount and it is not fair. As it stands, I paid $1615 for 2 months of classes.
