    It's unfortunate that this review is at a 1-star level, but it honestly reflects my experience…read more First, if I had to do this over again, I would NEVER sign a 6 month contract w/ any agency not just Berkshire, (but that's just my personal opinion) and with any contract make sure you understand all the add-on fees (administrative bs etc) that are tacked on prior to signing, because ultimately it comes out of your $$$. Negotiate these away if you can. The Despota Team consists of 3 individuals (Team Manager, husband & wife)--1 of which I had previously worked w/ who was very proactive 5 years ago when we purchased our home, and the sole reason I reached out to her when we were interested in selling our home. Upon signing our 6-month contract (mistake #1) & not negotiating the add-on fees (mistake #2), that is when everything stopped becoming effortless and quickly became a colossal headache. Team Depsota required micromanaging and cattle prodding (not something I expected from Berkshire) and in my opinion once the contract was signed (6 months) & the listing went live their work/effort ceased. See detail below: 1. There were numerous errors on the primary listing that required correction. 2. We had many phone calls/texts over whether the property was in a flood zone or no flood zone (which makes a difference in the state of Florida). 3. I had to request that on open house be held at the property and the time the agents selected was between 3pm-5pm on a Saturday afternoon which certainly was not ideal in my eyes. Once again, NO suggestion from the "Team" that this could be beneficial in promoting the sale of our home. 4. Photos on the listing required management and initially looked awful and the flow of the photos made zero sense until I called to have the unnecessary pictures of Walmart signs, strip malls etc removed. Maybe the "Team" should be reviewing how their listings look---just a thought. Overall, our experience was unsatisfactory. Our house sold because of all the hard work outside agencies did in repeatedly showing our home to potential buyers. The Despota team of Berkshire Hathaway I feel stands on its name only and just expects that its name alone will move properties. The "team" provided little to no effort and at times their effort was sloppy. If I could have issued the buyer's agent 70% of the commission I would have done so because it was earned. The Despota team certainly didn't earn their cut in my eyes. Potential sellers beware & just do your research before signing a contract. If I had to do it over again, I would find an agent that is "hungry" and wanting to put in the work. Jennifer Hardy

Which ultimately proved true when my electronic lock failed one day and I needed them to let me in. My house was in pretty good shape and but my title situation was not. Stephanie was able to coordinate minor repairs with local contractors and also get me in touch with an affordable lawyer to help settle my title issues. Overall my experience with the Duncan Duo was great and I'd be happy to recommend them to others.

I have bought and sold real estate, over 15 properties, in the last 35 years or so and this is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. They priced my unit and listed it and then did nothing and never brought me ONE offer in 4 months. Definitely a second rate real estate group, small time with big claims and then do nothing to actually sell your property. I always did whatever they recommended, but they did not put any effort into getting it sold. The listing photos were very low quality, I could take better with my cell phone! No wide angle, no filtering, no finesse with photos. Yes, sell low is their cry, they just want their cut of the sale and move on quickly. I will not name the realtor, I don't think it matters, they all sound sucky from the other reviews I read here. Then this, "Oh the market is lower now so you should lower your listing price". It is not funny one bit, they want you to sell low, but you look at other listings that are comps in your same area and they are higher priced for less quality property. I could not ever see going with these people when there are so many more seasoned real estate pro's out there. Do yourself a favor, shop around or get a reference from somebody you know and trust to do the job. Selling your property is one of the most important events for you to entrust to somebody, so be very careful, it is your financial well being at stake and the Duncan Duo just do not care!!!

Kris Kennedy got many favorable reviews across my most trusted websites and here on Yelp he's a total rockstar. After our initial conversation I knew he was the agent for us. We just closed on our Tampa Bay Home Area home today and having finished the process, I'm delighted to report Kris Kennedy lives up to every accolade he's received. Kris is a really nice guy (but let's face it ALL real estate agents are charming) Kris sets himself above the other agents starting with his professional demeanor and promptness. He is smart and shrewd a brilliantly, tenacious negotiator and an excellent communicator. He has league of professionals in his network that seemingly bend over backwards for him and thusly bend over backwards for his clients. Certainly if I had a question or a concern Kris had an answer, knew someone that did or found out and reported back quickly. He gave us excellent advice, asked important questions, custom built searches to suit our needs, and secured digital paperless portals to complete paperwork. FYI my husband and I would've paid asking price and Kris knew it. He worked his magic and saved us a total of 35K. This process was seamless in no small part thanks to the tireless workings of Kris Kennedy and his network of professionals.
