Wow... why 5 stars? Because they earned it. When you become accustomed to mediocrity and indifference in trades, and professionals, it's like extra dessert when you hire a pro and they deliver. Katrina and her team have educated my for several years with her Friday morning radio program. After listening to the no nonsense approach to realty, I called to arrange for Katrina to discuss listing my house. Several other realtors came by, for due diligence on my part. The others made big promises and no path to get there, or treated me like a noob and tried to low ball an offer for their investors. Katrina and her team convinced me to work hard and spend wisely. I hired her to guide me and guide she did. (What to update and where to let things be). My investment into the items she recommended gave me about a 300% return vs. listing as-is. ****UNPROFESSIONAL AGENT** I want to preface this review by stating that we have several properties and have never had an issue like this with ANY agent. We were the buyers and represented by a reputable agent of 30years. Our agent worked so diligently to make this a smooth and timely transaction. I'm uncertain if Ms. Madewell is aware of how poorly she has handled the representation of this sellers home. I hope for the sake of buyers/sellers/agents alike that they take a moment to read this review and our experience beforehand. From the very beginning... the communication has been nil to none, unreturned calls/texts, dishonest excuses, documents never signed or returned, procrastinated on every aspect, relied on her staff to handle extremely important details an experienced agent should have overseen. On the closing date, we come to the home to conduct our walk-through. The lockbox was gone and we could not enter. The sellers furniture was still in the home! Our agent tried to contact her several times to no avail. Her staff stated that she was busy hosting her talk show! Really, Ms. Madewell? Such disrepect. So she finally calls our agent back 1 hour later and states we can keep the old furniture if we would like. No thank you, we would like for you to do what the contract states. Our movers are paid by the hour and were on their way. She had several people who were not professional movers in the home, trying to hurry and remove the old furniture from each room. I was sincerely concerned and could only think about the spread of Coronavirus, I mean who are these people? Then she goes on to tell this story of how her client has Cancer. Why would she divulge such personal information to excuse herself? Our movers arrive and she drives back and begins yelling at them. I couldn't believe it! She states that she never received the funds from the title company. Our agent stated they were waiting until the house was cleared and we could enter! It was just sent before she arrived, started screaming threatening to call the sheriff? This was her mistake, not ours or our agent's. I was shocked. I have NEVER in my life met an individual so deeply, emotionally unstable and ravaged with hate...enough to yell in front of the neighbors in the middle of our new community. The funds were obviously there the moment she checked her phone and scrambled to save face and leave. From all of the people who witnessed her behavior, all agreed she seemed very disturbed or inebriated in some way. She may have provided acceptable service for previous clients, but Ms. Madewell definitely has some serious personal issues affecting her now. I am certain she will respond with "this a fake review" excuse or place blame on others. Trust in this...it is real review Ms. Madewell. I hope you have taken something from this experience and that is ...It's not about your ego, talk show or facade that matters to clients, but the contents of your morality, professional aptitude and especially your emotional stability. read more

I am a real estate attorney in Tampa and my wife works for the Courts. In my practice, I regularly refer clients to Katrina Madewell and her team, but I finally got the opportunity to enlist her services around May of 2019 to assist in the search for a new house. She found us a great house in a well-known historic neighborhood in St Pete. This house was a short sale and needed extensive repairs. The short sale process can be, and in this case was grueling. Luckily, I had experience with short sales representing clients in my law practice, and moreover had experience working with them and Katrina in the past. The entire process took about 6 months (mostly because of the seller's bank). But Katrina's service was spectacular over those 6 months. She was always keeping us informed and made multiple trips to the property so that we can go through with various inspectors and family members and make sure we were well advised as to what repairs we would need to make. Katrina is easily accessible and has extensive experience. She has excellent information to make the entire home buying process smooth, and plenty of referrals ranging from security to contractors to inspectors. Without the help and responsiveness of Katrina and Team Madewell, this would not have been nearly as pleasant of an experience as it turned out to be. My experience with their team went wonderful, I would have not wanted anybody else to help me. I would tell others they make the process a lot more simple than it is. The high point of my experience was finalizing closing, actually closing for something I want. A low point would be when I put first my bid in but they assured I would find something I really would like and did. I wouldn't change anything about this experience. One word or metaphor to some of my experience would have to be simplicity, everyone tells me about horror stories but I didn't have to go through anything bad.
