Next he said he would call to plan delivery for Saturday on Friday night . Didnt. Then Saturday calls and says he can't deliver will have to be monday. I'm upset calls him back says you didn't call Friday night to make delivery plan n I'm going away monday. He then says I'll try and hangs up on me. He calls at 4 Saturday n says just after 5. I think great. But when he gets here I went outside and he says he is angry cause he is semi retired n his driver was ill n he didn't want to be here. Then when taking dresser upstairs he rammed it into wall and made 2 holes I have pictures if anyone wants to see. He then told me to get plaster n putty knife n fix on my own what about painting wtf. He then leaves my home saying I got 1200 dresser and 600 nightstand for whatever. At store he said it was a 600 dresser and 300 nightstand and I got for half price. I should have known when he only accepts cash deals RED FLAG. This guy named Patrick owner of Barton Furniture is an obnoxious conceited arrogant piece of work. Ladies don't go there! The most expensive was $15 an amazing new lightweight yellow purse that hold your phone for gardening or taking walks, pocket for money / cards / chapstick- the bare necessities. I purchased a couch from Parks Furniture on September 25, 2025, for $800 and picked it up myself. That same evening, I discovered the couch was moldy. The next day, I contacted the store. After some delay, they finally agreed to pick it up and deliver a replacement. On September 28, the new couch arrived -- also moldy. When they tried to replace just one section, that piece was moldy too. I had everything removed from my home at that point. I then spoke with a sales representative on September 29, who offered a completely different couch at the same price. I agreed, hoping this nightmare was over. Days passed with no updates, and when I called on October 1, I was told the delay was because they were "waiting for someone to drive to Toronto." By October 3, I had been without a couch for over a week and still had no clear delivery date. On October 4, I finally received a call -- only to be told that my replacement couch wouldn't arrive until Wednesday of next week. That's when I'd had enough. I requested a refund and asked to speak to the owner. I was told "no one speaks to the owner" and was yelled and screamed at by the staff. The entire experience has been appalling -- multiple mold-contaminated couches, complete lack of urgency, and absolutely no respect for customers. Considering this company's previous water damage incident reported in June, it's hard not to wonder if their storage conditions are still unsafe and leading to ongoing mold issues. I've never encountered such unprofessional behavior from a business. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration -- do not buy from Parks Furniture.

Once I paid the bill in full prior to deliver, I received a call from her Manager and was told they could not remove my loveseats. It left me scrambling to arrange another company to remove them. If I knew they would not take the old out, I could have either purchased somewhere else that provides that service or just be upfront with me.

Peter Martin's employees delivered my washer and when they realized there were clips on the bottom…read moreof my barn doors, I went to my basement (my trap door basement in the winter) ans got them a screwdriver. They didn't use it then they broke my clip, shoving the washer in. I called Peter Martin and spoke to him and he told me to replace the clip. I couldn't find the clips by themselves and then I got very ill. The next time I called Peter he had no recollection of speaking to me, could not find my file and when he did he only could find my email I wasn't even given a name. He said he could not remember speaking to me about my claim and then yelled at me because he couldn't find any of my information and then he hung up on me! I am disgusted by the way he treated me. His customer service skills are very lacking and considering they are supposed to service their own products, the fact that he didn't even have my name written down is quite disappointing. The way he treated me was vile. I would not recommend buying a product from him ever and he is a complete rude individual. I do not care how long he has been in business I would prefer to get my money back than to deal with him or his rudeness ever again! Photos attached.
