Even when we were ordering our food, it was disappointing since they didn't have three different dishes that we wanted to try. We ended up opting for the siu mai, shrimp rice rolls, bbq pork buns, and wonton noodle soup. The bbq pork bun was great. The rest of the food was worse than mediocre and as a comparison, I've had much better dim sum in Vancouver and Toronto. They didn't offer any hot tea with our meal which is interesting since dim sum translates to "yum cha" in Cantonese which literally translates to "drink tea". They didn't even offer water. The service was not good since there was no service. This was my last meal before I got crazy food poisoning that lasted several days. I can only suspect that something was bad in their food which made me feel extremely sick several hours later.

So I came with some prejudices when my cousin invited us for her birthday lunch. It was an 11 course meal which she customized and ordered in advance for three tables. First came the dried scallop soup with vegetable green which looked plain and simple, but it surprisingly impressed my taste buds. That first impression got me excited for the dishes that were to follow: Shrimp salad, crispy roasted chicken, steamed Lapulapu fish, Sweet and sour pork, Dim sum sampler platter, braised beef, the birthday pancit, Stir fried green beans, and finally fried rice with fried anchovies. You line up at the counter, pick your favorite dimsum items, pay the cashier, then take a seat. The food did not taste fresh, but that was not the biggest disappointment. The service was so very very very slow!!! It was like the staff was in slow motion. So slow that our food got cold. Will not be returning anytime soon.
