I rarely write a 1-star review but unfortunately it had to be done for this establishment!
So my brother and I hadn't been to a Chow King restaurant in years so we decided to grab a quick dinner there. We both ordered the fried chicken platter with a side of pancit canton. First off, the chicken wasn't really hot nor crispy. Later that night both of us ended up getting really sick from the food we had just eaten. I'm quite cautious of what I eat and have rarely had food poisoning. It was the last thing we both had that day and had separate meals earlier in the day so it had to be the chicken from Chow King. I also ordered the lumpiang Shanghai and that was nothing special.
Even if I hadn't gotten the food poisoning, I'd still have to give them this 1-star rating. They don't allow you to make any substations in the meals. Additionally, they won't let you order the chicken ala carte. For example, most of the chicken meals are only 1 piece and they won't allow you to just order one more. For a fast food place, they also take quite a long time.
