I've tried a lot of salad places similar to Chopt (places like sweetgreen) and this place stands out a bit more than the rest. For one, I really like the aesthetics and cleanliness of the inside as it made me sure that the food will be just like the interior. From this place, I ordered the harvest bowl (a warm salad that comes with sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts, pumpkin seeds, warm quinoa, chicken, and marinated kale) and I asked for balsamic vinaigrette in place of the two dressings it came with and also added extra charred brussels sprouts. The meal came out to be roughly $11. (I also took it to go which is super easy since they have bags and utensils everywhere). I'm also aware that these places are typically on the pricier end for salads, so I wasn't too surprised with how much I had to pay. Chopt's salads have always kept me full for a super long time (because they kinda make me bloated) but they taste really good. I recommend this place if you like salads, but if not, maybe find someplace else to eat. read more

I was trying new salad places and came upon Chopt. Their menu is unlike Saladworks and I like that. It made me choose something that I would've never chosen to eat prior as they have a special menu: their destination menu. They switch up the salads by destination (i.e. this season is Key West Jerk Chicken Salad). The special thing about Chopt is that their salads are actually chopped, like most of the addons you'd put in your salad. You might think you're getting less because of how small it is chopped but in actuality, it is very filling. My first order, I couldn't finished the full bowl. I finished about half of my take out bowl. My regular go to is the Crispy Chicken Ranch salad. Their chimichurri dressing is a must try. Two times I have ordered salad online with them, and two times the dressing has been wrong, despite the receipt having the correct dressing printed on it. I literally don't know how they can get something this simple wrong 100% of the time. So if you order from them, you better double or triple check your order when you pick it up (which doesn't work if someone else is picking up the order for you). For those who don't know, Chopt is a fast food place that makes fresh salads on the spot and you choose everything from the lettuce to the toppings and dressing. There also many tables throughout in case you choose to dine there, but should you choose to take out, trust that the line moves quickly regardless of how long it is. The salads themselves are excellent and the freshness of all the ingredients are evident. The soups are also delicious and make for a great pairing with whatever salad you get. Worth noting, you can also place salad orders online and come pick them up at the time specified. This is ideal before or after peak times when this place gets crowded and busy. Never been to Chopt, since the healthy chain options near me are Honeygrow, Cava, and Just Salad. But I had heard nothing but great things from my mom. Needless to say, in the middle of a day filled with thanksgiving prep and grocery shopping, we needed to refuel. The place was quiet and clean. I ended up ordering one of the special salads--The Mesa Ranch. I'm normally not a spice person, and this salad had a hatch chile dressing that made my nose run instantaneously. The rest of the salad was solid--great greens, great mix of veggies and toppings, though the black bean fritters were on the dry side. The one thing I'd personally do differently is get a milder dressing, since that's not the fault of the staff. Overall, I'd definitely reconsider going to Chopt if I got something different than the salad I initially got, and if there was one closer by where I live and work. I honestly think it was no better than my office cafeteria, at three times the cost. - $4.50 for a fresh brewed iced tea? Seriously? News flash - it's not that complicated or expensive to make fresh brewed iced tea. And again, no flavor. - After you order, but before you can see the chips or beverages, they're asking you to pay, with a credit card. That's just bad business, missing the up-sell! - When I said I wanted to pay cash, I was told that's a different register and that within the year, they will no longer accept cash. Way to be flexible for your customers. - $16.50 for a salad and iced tea. I'd pay that for lunch at a sit-down restaurant, not take out that I'm eating at my desk. This is a great resource for clean and green food. This chain put together and then chops a variety of different salad combinations. So far I have been take salad out three times. Two times I had the classic cobb and once the kabob cobb. I like the classic cobb better, I have had it with both chicken and shrimp. Although the chicken can use a bit more flavor and seasoning the salad itself is a very tasty and very filling. Its a great way for anyone wanting a filling meal on the healthier side to keep in line. Salads are large and all their food is listed on FitnessPal, so way easy to track. Salads are super good and staff is nice, but the process for actually ordering is so confusing for a first-timer and totally ruins the vibe. You order your salad, they put the stuff in a bowl, and then for some reason, there's a cash register in the middle (?) and then a station where they add dressing and chop up your salad, but then there's another cash register after that. It's all just really confusing and awkward, especially if you come during a busy time. The next time I want a salad from here, I'll probably just order ahead and pick up to avoid the uncomfortable customer experience. read more

The food is still wonderful but the cashier was not very pleasant. She tried to overcharge for my salad, which was already expensive enough! The issue was that she was charging me for an extra ingredient which I didn't have. The ingredients are fresh and the guy who chopped the salad was friendly and welcoming. Bread is served with the salad but surprisingly they don't have butter. I still recommend the place, but not quite as highly as before. The odd thing is that the woman making my salad put some corn in my bowl by mistake, which I was first e with. But instead of just leaving it in the bowl, she threw it away and started over with a new salad. Also, the salad description was a little confusing. I ordered a salad which normally included bacon but I asked if I could substitute. She said I could, but after she had put in the other ingredients, I asked for more chicken as my substitute. She said that would cost extra. We then went through a process for several minutes trying to find something else. The problem was the chicken is 20 cents more than the bacon. The person behind the counter seemed exasperated when I said I needed a minute to decide my order, although no one was in line behind me and several other workers were behind the counter not seeming busy. After I paid he said, "pick up your order at the end of the counter." That's an exact quote. There were lots of bags at the end of the counter for pick up but I didn't see mine and asked, where again do I pick up? He snarled, "right there in front of you." I really love the salads that chopt produces. their light kale ceaser is one of the best salads I've ever had. when I ordered takeout from this location I ordered some dressings on the side as well. when I was handed the bag I was slightly nervous. during the middle of my car ride I noticed that all three bottles of dressing had leaked all over my car because the caps were not placed on properly. I was really disappointed by this because the open dressings were also placed on the bottom of the bag which was really unfortunate. not an awesome experience read more

I had Chopt on my list of places to try and finally got the chance. Brought my nieces for lunch on Saturday. It was busy, but the staff were all fast, friendly and helpful. They offer all healthy options, so many toppings and salad dressings, soups and flavored drinks. There's something for everyone. I love that quinoa is a staple for the salads. We enjoyed a couple of salads and I had a side of the Mexican chicken soup as well. The soup was so flavorful. Everything was delicious! If you're thinking about it, you should def go. I was really excited to try out this place and ended up being really satisfied. There were a lot of salad options and I was able to add whatever I wanted to mine with was great. The lady who made my salad was super nice and helpful when answering questions about the menu and even general questions about the establishment. She was clearly very knowledgeable and knew what she was talking about which definitely added to my experience. I also loved this place because there is nothing else like it in the area. It's a very unique and new concept. I think it gives you a chance to be healthy and even cheat a little if you want.
