I just tried Chopt for the first time and the salad was really good. The first thing that caught my attention was the wall that listed the local farms where they get their veggies! I'm all about eating healthy so I gave it a try! The service was great and they even let me try the dressing before pouring it on the salad. It had a welcoming ambiance. The tables were clean and the utensils area was clean and organized! Can't wait to go back! read more

Chopt discontinued my favorite Kebab Cobb, rude. So I had to find a new favorite. It is the chicken caesar wrap but you have to get regular caesar mixed in with mexican caesar on the side for pouring onto each delicious bite. This location is fresh and delicious every time. I like the "spa water" they have by the drink area. Big fan! read more

Today I went to Chopt for lunch. I used to eat here at least twice a week until my food was not fresh (my avocado was dark on the outside) and the portions were getting more skimpy even when I paid for more warm grains. I can say much about the service as I order my food online through the app so I am not waiting my whole lunch hour to just eat at my desk. So let the pictures speak for themselves. I am so disappointed and this may very well be the last time I eat food from here. $15.13 with the tax is not worth what I got :-( read more

I previously left an honest review about unfriendly service and perceived resistance to extra chopping. This has changed! I'm pleased to report the rude employees are gone, and service has been great. Nice job! read more

Ashly was super friendly and I loved her service!! Will definitely be coming back, food was amazing.

Ashly did a great job when I didn't know what to order (being my first time there) and she guided me to a meal I really enjoyed. She did a great job on helping me and most of the workers there seem very friendly. Will be going back! read more

Favorite salad place in Charlotte- beats the other ones in terms of quality. Restaurant is always clean and manager Melissa was super nice.

I had never tried Chopt before and was pretty excited to see what all the fuss was about. It was pretty cool to see your salad being made right in front of you! The sourdough bread slice was the most perfect touch and was so so good. The salad tasted really good too, I wish there was just a tad more cheese in it but I guess that would be on me for not asking for more. I will say that it realllyyyy upset my stomach about an hour after eating it. read more

I've been to the Chopt in Ballantyne several times now, and it's consistently a great experience. The salads are fresh, and I love how many options there are -- whether I'm in the mood for something light or hearty, I can always find (or build) the perfect bowl. read more

After a day of traveling and eating no so great, I was. Definitely ready for something healthier and with lots of color to it. Chopt definitely fit the bill and gave me a great selection of salads, wraps, and warm bowls to choose from. I selected the warm Asian chicken bowl over cauliflower rice. It came with lots of cauliflower and marinated kale. The ginger dressing could have been a little bit more generous but overall I was full and felt nourished by all the veggies packed into my dinner. read more

Very nice service. Clean and menu was easy to read from the board overhead. This was my first time and the server explained everything to me and made me feel comfortable and not rushed. I had the warm plate, not sure exactly what it is called but it was enough for three people and was Delicious and flavorful. I asked for extra spicy dressing and it was perfect. I will look for more of these Chopt locations over the rest. Thanks, I will be back. read more

Really good and tasty. Was super confused as this was our first time but a smaller bowl option would be helpful

The food and service was quick and rapid. The ambiance was pleasant and I definetly love Luciano's quick chopping. 10/10

Rudest, dullest, stuck up customer service with not one employee with a smile. It seems like they are being forced to work here, which makes me unable to give them my money again, at least at this location. The salad wasn't worth my time standing in line and when I went to tip, the cashier practically grabbed the bill out of my hand! I desire a mere hello for an overpriced bunch of lettuce! read more

Have eaten here a half dozen times since our inaugural visit nearly a year ago. Loved it at first however, sadly this past Saturday eve's dinner will be our last. It initially provided great freshly made salads along with enthusiastic and competent service. The food preppers now consist of lackadaisical teenagers, who really couldn't care less about their customers and who know little about their product. Our salads had considerable amounts of wilty and/or rotten spinach. The turkey meatballs were cold and tasteless. The young girl who checked us out was aloof, rude and was more interested in the two young men visiting her than us. To add insult to injury, both my wife and I woke up feeling nauseous later that night. Again this is all too bad. We really liked this place. Now its completely chopt from our restaurant list altogether. My advice: Go somewhere else, there are simply too many better, cleaner, and better managed options in the area. read more

I loved Chopt! They cut everything up and mix the ingredients together which makes the salad super easy to eat, unlike some places that place large amounts of food in piles on top and expect you to do all the work. This place was refreshing for me. They have a lot of options to choose from and I ended up ordering the Santa Fe Salad. I got the Mexican Goddess dressing with it and it all tasted great! The dressing was a bit spicy so keep that in mind :) all the ingredients tasted very fresh! I was ordering for multiple people who had very specific requests and I almost expected the workers to get impatient, but they were extremely kind and helpful throughout the whole process! Prices here are good and the portions are really big! I could've shared it with a second person and both of us would've been full from it :) In summary, here's why I give Chopt 5 stars: 1. Great customer service 2. Fresh, easy to eat salads 3. Good prices for large portions Can't wait to come back! read more

I was craving a salad for dinner and there is not a Chopt near my home. I actually placed an app order and drove 20 minutes for the chicken tinga salad When I got to Chopt my order was bagged and waiting for me to quickly grab it and go. Everything was exactly as I had ordered it in the app. My favorite is the chicken tinga but any create your own salads or warm bowls are delicious. Chopt is expensive, but if you use the app you will get reward points and it's also worth paying for fresh ingredients. read more

We liked the good very much. Everything that was ordered came correct on our takeout order. That's important when you get home and are not disappointed with items missing. read more

What in the world is wrong with this place? I just spent $20 on a salad! And it has absolutely no taste. I literally had to put two packages of salt so he could taste like something. On top of the fact that it is extremely expensive, you pay incredibly for toppings and they don't even put enough. It's so much lettuce and you have to dig for the toppings. No one was even kind enough to explain how the procedure goes on ordering items here. Very disappointed. Never again!! read more

extremely disappointed in the food. . Disappointed in the service and the customer service and the responses received when asking questions about something. They have also increased their cost. I got a small salad with no changes from the menu and a bowl with no changes from the menu. I was charged the same amount for a small salad as you would for a large. Unacceptable. I will never return. read more

The lighting, The Salad, The staff, The location Ooh did I mention the SALAD & the LOCATION?? I have long awaited the arrival of this location after discovering the location on Park Rd. After falling in LOVE with Chopt and meeting the mangers at the Park location and discussing expansion over a salad I anxiously awaited the opening of this Blakney location and today was the day that we decided to dine out for dinner and what better FASTFOOD (Anything I don't cook is FASTFOOD) to have than a SALAD. I had a Chicken Tinga (No Chicken- sub with Tofu), my daughter had a Caesar Salad & my hubby had a create your own salad. The Mexican Goddess Dressing is THE TRUTH & the White Balsamic as well. Even ran into Brendon Haywood (former NBA player and currently a commentator for sports) on our visit. This place is awesome I LOVE the lighting as its well lit and has more seating than the other location. I'm super HAPPY with this location :-) read more

I got a really filling make your own salad bowl with tons of options for toppings and sauces (I think around 20) ! I will say that the employee didn't tell me that more than a certain amount of toppings is extra until she had already put them in my bowl, so I couldn't add more. Definitely a great tasting salad though! read more

my second visit. both times i got a chicken tinga bowl with cauliflower rice. it was very yummy

Pretty tasty palm salad but my hearts o Palm pieces were a bit tough. I suppose it's good for the fiber? Ingredients are crunchy and fresh. U can order a menu salad or a mix of what u crave. Agave is used instead of sugar in their dressing which makes for a healthy meal...no crashing after an hour! There's a Chopt app u can download b4 eating here. Don't know the details but I'm sure it must b to the customers' benefit. I'm sure to come here again. Only peeve is that each extra selection is 79¢ more n I so wanted a sprinkle of corn and a boiled egg but my salad was already $8.97 but so worth the freshness. I usually go to Moe's but this is a step up in freshness. Wish we had a Chopt in Waxhaw! 12/08/16 Spicy Cashew Soba Noodle: was hoping for cashews as the name implies but I guess it's in the sauce. Had to try it n now I recommend if u try it to hv more sauce added than usual because I did n it wasn't enough. I recommend that Chopt top whole or chunks of cashews. Love the edamame but I don't think I'll order this again, rather I'll order it without the soba noodles n add arugula for that nutty taste read more

If you want to waste your money in the name of eating healthy, by all means go eat here. If, however, you value your money and want to eat healthy pls find another salad place. I ordered on the phone, gave specific instructions which obviously they didn't follow but still say they did. The salad I received was basically a bag of leafy greens shopped and thrown in a plastic container with plain tasteless boiled chicken, some pumpkin seeds and corn kernels I could count. This is my description of the Mexican street corn chicken Caesar salad which by no means lived up to the description. 10$ for a bag of greens and chicken I couldn't swallow? No thanks, bye Felicia! read more

Let me start by saying Chopt is my favorite casual restaurant in Charlotte. However, this location is my least favorite. As soon as I walked in it did not feel welcoming and the restaurant had a sewage smell. The line did not move fast and everything seemed chaotic with the workers. Providence and Park rd are much nicer locations and I will stick to those. read more

I do love Chopt but don't come in much anymore as their prices are ridiculous and they started to get skimpy with some toppings, for example hardly any tortilla chips on chicken tinga and now if you want a little more they charge extra...they never used to do that. No more pork on the menu either. Staff today was friendlier than the last few visits. read more

Ordered from Chopt while in Charlotte. The salads were yummy and filling. Delicious ingredients

After my doctor appt. I was starving but got lost. Bump into this place by accident. I don't crave for salads often but when I do. I gotta have it. It's during lunch hours so it's busy and the line is long. But they have this seamlessly under control. I was a bit overwhelmed. So a hostess Melissa was very kind to show me what to do. I wanted the classic Cobb but dislike Dijon but she said I can substitute it out. I opted for Ranch dressing without blu cheese! Salad is huge. I can get 2 full servings. The chicken is ok. Close to bland. I'll try a different type next time. But all in all it's a solid spot! read more

This CHOPT is a joke. They don't even chop the salad. When I asked them why they didn't chop my salad, they said they don't usually chop the salad unless we ASK them to. Didn't even offer to redo my salad. Yes, I could have asked them to make another one but I had a hungry six year old who was waiting patiently for his salad after they gave me the wrong salad first and then this. Bad salad and worse service. read more

Very different, but good. You line up after you have read all the menu options posted above the kitchen. Lots of variety, but you really need know what you want when you hit the cashier. The salads are very generous. You get alot. They put your components together and mix them before loading they in deep plastic containers. You sit where there is room or take you salads to-go. Simple operation and they move fast. Can be expensive if you really lard up on ingredients. Pay attention. Their basic salads do not need much more to make them better. Drinks are at a separate bar/area and you set up what you like. Good for kids if they are into veggies and salads. Tell them that it is rabbit food. Reminds me of places in California: fresh ingredients, custom blending, many options, fast service and do-it-yourself. Eat and go or go and eat. Simple and it works. read more

,We enjoy salads for lunch so we decided to try Chopt, a salad restaurant . The restaurant has a myriad of salads : you can create your own you, can order classic salads , grain salads , platter salads and sides of salads. There is a variety of dressings to chose from:: the goddess dressing group the nut and yogurt dressing group , the vinagrette group, Caesar group , creamy classics group and their pantry dressings and condiments such as vinegars lemon, olive oil etc. Almost every salad ingredient you can imagine such as romaine, kale , arugula , spinach etc . tomatoes and, peppers, cucumbers, different fresh and dried fruits , different veges , peas beans , chips croutons, etc plus grains such as quinoa, lentils, millet, falafel and soba noodles . A variety of proteins such as chicken , steak, bacon, shrimp , tofu, nuts and hard boiled eggs. Different beverages such as natural type of sodas, fruit drinks, are available as well as packaged cookies if somebody wants something sweet . Bread and soup are also available .Prices are moderate, could get expensive with added ingredients , portions are not skimpy. The restaurant is clean and bright , friendly, well staffed and busy when we arrived . You stand at the counter and pick out your salad selection or ingredient choices. The salad is chopped on a cutting board in front of you behind the counter ,placed in the bowl, given to you and lastly you pay the cashier. I ordered the Palm Beach salad with chicken plus a hard boiled egg . My choice was the basil mint dressing which I did not care for so I requested a different dressing which they readily gave me. Initially the salad came with a hot honey vinagrette which I did not want . I enjoyed my salad very much couldn't finish it ,so it was put in a take out container for me to bring home . I certainly would return again and try a different salad on the menu Update: returned with my dining mate and enjoyed 2 different delicious salads. I tried the Classic Cobb with a Green Goddess dressing on the side and my dining mate the Nashville Hot chicken salad with a buttermilk Caesar dressing. Both large salads priced around $10. Certainly a full meal , with ones Vegetable and protein combos. We also tried the vegetarian vegetable soup, basic in flavor and full of assorted veges. I noticed a menu for kids salads and a blackboard designating their use of local produce in the area. Definitively a great place to go to if you enjoy delicious salads . The staff are well organized, helpful and friendly. read more

Salad! Salads! Saladee! Any fancy way you say the word salad the moral of the story is it's still just a salad. Chopt has a cool concept with a buffet style line where you can create your own salad or go with a pre made one from the menu. I chose the classic Cobb salad which had chunks of chicken placed inside. I informed the girl fixing my salad I have never been here before so just explain to me the concept she wasn't very helpful at all in fact it appeared as if she didn't want to be at work at all yesterday the staff wasn't the friendliest which would probably have a great effect on rather or not I would be back . The dressing I chose to go on my salad was delicious, one of the low calorie dressings Greek yogurt tataziki . She did let me sample it in a small cup with a piece of lettuce which helped on me making my decision on which dressing to choose for my salad. With my drink my total came up to $16 and some change so yes that's a little pricey for a salad and a drink. read more

Employees were rude and impatient, despite no other actual customers in store. The first girl refused my request for extra cilantro because it was ready in the cabbage mix. The second girl was short and abrupt when I requested a dairy free option for my dressing. This was our second attempt here, and will not be coming back. The last girl at the register was friendly, and the food was decent. Better atmosphere at McDonald's. read more
