This is as good as it gets! My wife and I came here for lunch today and we were pleasantly surprised. Best Afghan food I have ever come across! I got the chicken breast kabob and let me tell you it was fantastic. Juicy, beautiful and delicious. And, it came with a big plate of rice, a serving of nan bread, and a salad for just under $10!!!! My wife got the gosht masala and it had just the right amount of spices, and it was delicious when mixed with the rice. I also got their 2 wraps for $7.99 to go and I cant wait to try them(the smell is killing me) I was also extremely happy with the service. The owner was very friendly and did not mind talking, he even gave me a 10% coupon for the meal. My wife was especially happy about how spotless the restaurant was. I have tried their chapli kababs with biryani rice combo and chopan kabab dinner combo. I really liked the food. Everything was fresh inclusive of the tandoori naans and salad. The chopan kababs had a very strong fatty flavour so I wouldn't recommend them to anyone averted to a very strong flavour of animal fats. I personally liked them as they were fresh and juicy. Furthermore, I also liked the fact that when asked for some specific instructions through the online app, I actually got a call from the restaurant explaining what they can and can't entertain. Besides this, a cute lil' gesture was getting a hand written note from the restaurant thanking us for trying them. I would be going back for trying out more of their menu items. read more

Originally planned on getting shawarmas but the line was way to long and it was to cold to wait outside, so I decided to give this place a try. I am really glad I gave this place a try. I ordered their name sake dish, the chopan kabob which are 4 lamb chops served on a bed of rice along side a salad and some naan bread. The lamb chops where great they where tender, juicy, and delicious. I also got a glass of mango lassi (they only have jugs on the menu so if you want just a cup ask) it went perfectly with the food, I recommend everyone get the lassi. This is so far the worse experience I have had... Last time took my family of 12 ppl and almost spend $160 and upon requesting for a plate of onions he owner son who thinks of himself as something and is actually an Ass---- said "I have two hands only". We were all shocked to hear his way of communicating with customer. He is just a young kid and it seems just cus his dad is the owner he can misbehave and disrespect any one... What a crap service... not worth the disrespect that boy gives you. He is extremely rude... He is racist and arrogant! Never will go back there again ever!!! read more

We are frequent customers at Chopan Kabob and absolutely love their food! Their middle eastern food is some of the best I've tasted at restaurants and very close to authentic, home-cooked Afghani food. Their Naan is homemade, fresh to order, and can't be beat! We always order extra! Every dish on their menu is delicious, but our favourites are the Tarka Dal and the Mantu. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anybody looking for delicious, authentic Afghani, Pakistani food. P.s. Chopan Kabob is easily one of the best restaurants in K-W. They have amazing food at reasonable prices, and it's run by a very nice family as well. Besides delicious, the food is healthy and consistently high quality. With naan and salad included with most meals, it is also filling. Very tasty lamb chops (Chopan Kabob - maybe a bit too salty?), crisp salad, and I don't know what the other reviewers got but my rice was far from "hard."
