Sabzi Chalau

Sabsi chalua was outstanding. Tender, flavorful lamb and fresh spinach seasoned to perfection. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Excited to try more on the menu. Warm setting with everyone enjoying their meals.

Very good afghan food - the chicken and lamb skewers are fantastic and the lamb dish (no 49 in the menu) was awesome - really worth trying

Best food I have had in Munich for a while! Great taste, not expensive, cozy (but sometimes a little warm) atmosphere

Looking for new spots to lunch near our office in Lehel. Easy walk in a neighborhood with various…read moreoptions. The decoration is unique with interesting light fixtures but brocade couches. Looked like it's decorated for the evening but it didn't matter to our office crew. We really cared about food. Our table of nine ordered a variety of the lunch specials. The chicken and rice (which all said was very good and looked great), aubergine with minced meat, and the lamb with okra. I was expecting the lamb to be minced but instead it was cut off the shank. Fell right apart, like it is cooked in osso bucco. The okra had a nice tomato sauce and the rice green with some dill and spinach. Enjoyable. Oh and try the sauces on the table - red is a bit sweet like fruit jelly and the green has a kick. Each lunch meal is served with the soup of the day - today was noodles with vegetables. The chicken dishes were 9 Euro and lamb 10 Euro. Food came fast. Service was fine. One mistake - a mineral water went on the bill as 50 Euro (yes, 50) but that was easily noticed and fixed. Solid choice for a lunchtime meal in the neighborhood.

Wow, if this is the "not so good" branch of the Lemar empire, I'm dying to go to the Schwabing…read morebranch. We had a fantastic dinner, the food was amazing and had a well-balanced, oriental touch to it. The restaurant itself was nicely decorated and had a relaxing touch to it. Walk-Ins are possible, but I would recommend to make a reservation. One star less for: the service that was rather slow and not all too friendly (but also not unfriendly); the kitchen fumes that are somehow nice, but not if your clothes still smell of the food the next morning; the clear fingerprints on the outside of the wineglass when it arrived at the table. Would nevertheless recommend this restaurant and come back.
