Due to a cancelled train, the wife and I need to cancel our dinner reservation at another…read morerestaurant and I went on the hunt to find one, on a Friday night... Not an easy task if you're looking for something good. I called Itaewon and they had a table for two at 8:30, so excitedly, I claimed it. We've walked by the spot all the time, but not usually when it's open. Having lived in Korea, Korean BBQ has a special place in my heart, and it had been a long time since I'd had it... Well first, lemme say, this place is really on point with all it's flavors. Sure the "Spicy" Fried Chicken had6 been toned down for Western palates, but other than that, yeah, they got it right. It's a great concept. You can book for two times, when they open at 18h or at 20h30. You eat for two hours for 35€ a person, whatever you'd like from they menu. The catch is you can only order two dishes, per person, every 15 minutes. You do so using a tablet at your table. There's very little actually contact with the staff other than them bringing you what you ordered. Now, this place was absolutely packed, and every table was full, and there was no problem getting our food in a timely manner. We ate so much. The Fried Chicken mentioned before was really good, same with the Beef Dumplings, and all of the meat we got to BBQ was of a great quality. We also ordered two bottle of soju, which, at 13€ a bottle was my only gripe, but that's from my experience of just how cheap soju is and was in Korea and in local Asian grocery stores. Still was a great touch though. They were only out of the Korean beer Kass when I was there, which wasn't a huge loss, knowing just how so so it is, but I wanted that Korean nostalgia. All in all, we'll definitely be coming back. Book ahead. Make that reservation. You won't regret it!
