I'm beyond grateful for the support and care provided by this recovery center. Watching someone I…read moredeeply care about go through such a vulnerable chapter of their life, it brought me immense peace to know they were surrounded by compassionate, committed, and truly present staff. The environment fostered not only healing, but also accountability, structure, and a sense of safety--something that's so crucial during recovery. I could see genuine progress and personal growth and I know a huge part of that is because of the tools, support, and care given here. From the detox program to the outpatient services, the support was consistent, compassionate, and truly effective. What really stood out to me was having family therapy meetings that involved me every step of the way -- it made such a difference to feel included and supported as part of the healing process as well as the weekly check ins over the phone with how both parties are feeling during the process (family stand point)

This population is difficult to work with because sometimes they have a dual Diagnosis. Besides, mental issues or addiction issue, they are diagnosed with many medical issues such as Diabetes, Chronic Hepatitis, Hypertension,Hypercholesterolemia,Dental problems, etc. Since this vulnerable population also chain smokes. It is extremely important to have good medical care. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to find consistent medical care! It may sound easy since they have health insurance but many Doctors refuse clients with Medicaid.

Absolute incompetent jerks. As a resident of an Assisted Living…read moreFacility in Allendale, I had filed 28+ well-documented complaints and violations. In retribution, the Executive Director, Dan Silva, called Care Plus for a psychiatric evaluation for "behavior problems," and screener Michael Gorden not only believed his pack of lies but also repeated the false accusations in his report to have me forcibly removed from the facility claiming a mental health crisis. Instead of following proper protocol by obtaining signed statements from staff members that the behavior problems actually happened, this jerk signed authorization to have police take me to Bergen New Bridge Medical Center (where I wasted an entire days, eventually clearing both medical and psychiatric evaluations. Mr. Silva had locked all of the doors and refused to re-admit me, committing the criminal offense of "Patient Dumping." His sole purpose was to get me out of the building so that he could get rid of a "nuisance Medicaid patient" and Michael Gordon was his accomplice. The matter is now under investigation by the N.J. Attorney General's Office and the OSC Office of State Comptroller, and I have filed a complaint against Michael Gorden as well for taking away my civil liberties because of malpractice. Care Plus should be closed down entirely, and both Dan Silva and Michael Gorden should be in prison. Avoid like the plague!!!

Treatment of substance abuse disorders mainly address social, psychological, and spiritual aspects, often ignoring the physical aspect. I have found that most treatment, including 12-step programs, do not address the BODY connection to healthy mind and spirit. The modality of recovery at New Pathway is the most comprehensive. I have found many of the resources available in this program to be the most helpful of the various treatment plans available for recovery. From group counseling to work outs, meditation and yoga, tai chi and spiritual groups, this place offers a broad spectrum of services for cultivating health and well being. I would also like to say that the counselors and staff are all very good in their positive affirmations and support. They actually really do care (Nicholas, Tim, Mike, Jenny, Molly). 5 Stars. Highly recommend.

I have been using All Health for over 4 years. When I first started, it was out of convenience…read morebecause I didn't drive, and the Hackensack location was close to me. Other locations were also close to where I worked. One day, I went for my scheduled appointment and was in the room, undressed and waiting for the doctor for about 40 minutes. I eventually fell asleep. When I woke up, I had already been there for about an hour. I called the number I had, only to find out it was for another location. They then contacted the Hackensack office so someone could come in to see me. I went to the doctor about three weeks ago because I was experiencing heart palpitations. She referred me to the Maywood office, where they told me I also had something else that needed to be looked into. They gave me a heart monitor, which I wore for one week, from Friday to Friday, and then dropped it off as instructed. I didn't receive a call about the results, so I eventually called. I was told that the doctor I had seen would not be back until the following Friday. I explained that I didn't mind going to another location to get my results, because I just wanted to know what was going on. They scheduled me for the following Friday at the Paterson location. Then, the day before that appointment, they called and scheduled me to go to Maywood for an echocardiogram. At that point, I had two appointments, and I kept both of them. When I arrived in Paterson, there was actually nothing available for the doctor to review. He tried to help, but there was no heart-monitor information there for him to read. We then scheduled a phone call for Tuesday, which is today. I missed the call today, so I tried calling the office several times. When I couldn't get through to anyone, I decided to come into the office myself. Now I'm being told that I have to wait again until Thursday. Meanwhile, I have been experiencing heart palpitations throughout the day and even during the night. This entire experience has been extremely frustrating. I have been a patient with All Health for over four years, and I don't think it is unreasonable to expect better communication and coordination when it comes to something as important as my heart and my health. I understand that doctors are busy and that things can happen, but having multiple appointments at different locations, traveling to an appointment only to find that the information isn't available, not being able to reach anyone by phone, and then being told to wait yet again is unacceptable from a patient's perspective. At this point, my biggest concern is not even the inconvenience--it is the lack of communication and urgency. When a patient is actively experiencing ongoing heart palpitations and has already completed a week of monitoring, they should not have to keep chasing the office to find out what is happening with their results. After being with All Health for more than four years, I honestly expected better coordination and communication.

Rather than taking accountability for dropping me after I stabilized on a prescribed benzodiazepine (which I was told was acceptable by the clinician beforehand), they tried to imply I had been warned or that this was somehow my misunderstanding. It was not. I was explicitly told to return after stabilizing, which I did, with medical oversight and documented need. Then I was dropped without warning, and the excuse shifted from "stabilization" to "billing" to "weed use," even though they knew I used cannabis from the very first visit and continued treating me for weeks afterward. Let's be honest, they only saw it as a problem once my stabilization path didn't fit their abstinence-based narrative. Also worth noting, their reply to my review attempted to subtly shift blame while omitting key facts, including that I was following clinical advice from their own staff. That alone is enough to make any patient wary. Misleading responses like that are textbook examples of how clinics dodge accountability while protecting institutional image. If you are someone with complex needs, especially if you require stabilization over abstinence, do not trust this clinic to follow through. They will support you only as long as your path conforms to their narrow framework. Once it doesn't, you're out.
