Absolute incompetent jerks. As a resident of an Assisted Living…read moreFacility in Allendale, I had filed 28+ well-documented complaints and violations. In retribution, the Executive Director, Dan Silva, called Care Plus for a psychiatric evaluation for "behavior problems," and screener Michael Gorden not only believed his pack of lies but also repeated the false accusations in his report to have me forcibly removed from the facility claiming a mental health crisis. Instead of following proper protocol by obtaining signed statements from staff members that the behavior problems actually happened, this jerk signed authorization to have police take me to Bergen New Bridge Medical Center (where I wasted an entire days, eventually clearing both medical and psychiatric evaluations. Mr. Silva had locked all of the doors and refused to re-admit me, committing the criminal offense of "Patient Dumping." His sole purpose was to get me out of the building so that he could get rid of a "nuisance Medicaid patient" and Michael Gordon was his accomplice. The matter is now under investigation by the N.J. Attorney General's Office and the OSC Office of State Comptroller, and I have filed a complaint against Michael Gorden as well for taking away my civil liberties because of malpractice. Care Plus should be closed down entirely, and both Dan Silva and Michael Gorden should be in prison. Avoid like the plague!!!

My only advice to people that are looking at Care Plus is to RUN. The people that work at this…read morebusiness are easily the most incompetent, non-caring people I have ever met in my entire life. If the evaluation process did not take so long at other places, then I would easily reconsider and move to a different place. If you need your medication, forget about it. I have gotten in contact with the receptionist about four times this week who said they would handle it and they never did. Because of the office's lack of follow-through, I ran completely out of a medication that should never be interrupted without medical guidance. Instead of receiving the care and communication I expected, I was left wondering whether anyone was actually handling my requests. Having to chase down a psychiatric office over and over for an essential medication is unacceptable. Now, I have to go out of my way to go to the office in person in an attempt to get my medication. Please steer clear of this place because it is a warzone just to hear from anyone. I have never been through such a ridiculous situation in my life. I have been with Care Plus for years, the therapists are great, but other than that I would advise to stay away.

I started with ChoicePoint for Therapy and Drug/alcohol abuse. I was referred by Holy Name…read morePavilion. I have to say that at first I hated that fact that I was there to begin with. But later I realized it was alll worth it. I am still currently getting services from this place. I highly recommend Gina as a therapist. She is the best there is. She makes you feel comfortable. She understands you. She doesn't judge. She gives the best advices. She understands wen you have bad days but she pushes you to do better. She is friendly and kind. She helps you with any other resources. I come from a background where I always wanted therapy but was told by my abuser that therapy was a waste of time. I have to personally say that therapy is NOT a waste of time. If you feel like you need it. Get it. With time, you become a better person and no matter your struggles, Gina will help you get past them. I have James as my Counselor for Drug & Alcohol. James is the best. I give him a hard time once in a blue but he means well. He teaches and he makes the classes fun. He is silly in his own way and he really does want to help. He teaches and provides the tools that are needed to get pass those bad addictions. He brings the people in the group closer together. He might be tough at times with the group but I promise you he means well. He doesn't charge and even when you don't go in with a great mood. He gives you the opportunity to give you our own space and not have to answer all the questions in class. I like that both Gina and James push you to attend all the classes and they push you not to give up. I've learned and I am still learning a lot. I am glad I am part of this place. Caterina

The woman that handles their reception and calls, Marissa, is one of the rudest individuals I've…read moreever spoken to! I called asking for help to get medical records for a client and expressed we've been trying to reach someone for over a month; Marissa was instantly defensive with a nasty, sharp tone, stating that someone would call me back (even though she never asked for my number). When I stressed that she had told someone in my office that nine times, she started raising her voice, saying that I was threatening her because I stated they had a legal obligation to provide records and if I needed to call in with the client I would. Even though I kept a level, calm tone, she REFUSED to provide me information for who to speak to in records and hung up on me. I'd be so incredibly embarrassed to have this awful woman representing a medical facility that's supposed to help people.
