Although Mr. Chauvin was very pleasant, when the job was over and done, charged me DOUBLE the estimated cost. As this was a house cleanout for sale of home due to divorce, the day he did the job, met with ex-spouse and then did the job. According to Chauvin, ex asked him to add a large number of items, although ex and I had spoken just prior to his arrival, and agreed to specifically what I had showed him to take, for which he quoted me a price of $200-$250 dollars. When he called looking for payment (the next day) and told me it was going to be $500.00 due to additions I was surprised. He listed the additions by the ex, and I had to agree, knowing what was involved. Discussions with ex ensued, regarding additions, and ex claimed it was only 2 end tables, NOT the large number of things Chauvin said. As the house had been sold, and I had been specifically told that I was not allowed on the property, I had no way of confirming what he did or did not take (the bulk of the additional items being things that should have stayed with the property.) I can't PROVE that he took me for double, and since he won't respond to emails or calls, and I've moved to another place a great distance away, I can't pursue him in person, or legally. DO NOT USE THIS PERSON.

The employee behind the counter barely looked up from her phone (or whatever she was doing) before dismissively telling me there was a 12-shirt minimum and a 2-3 week turnaround time. There was no attempt to be helpful, no effort to discuss alternatives, and certainly no appreciation for someone who walked through the door looking to spend money. What makes this even more disappointing is that I have been a customer in the past and have spent thousands of dollars with this business. Unfortunately, based on today's interaction, that clearly means nothing. I didn't even bother explaining my history with the company. I simply turned around and left. If I wanted an impersonal, dismissive experience, I could have ordered online and saved myself the trip. Customer service is supposed to be what separates a local business from a website. Sadly, that wasn't the case here. I will not be returning and cannot recommend this business. There are plenty of other companies that will treat customers with courtesy and respect. If you're looking for custom apparel, I'd suggest finding virtually anyone else. Even an online ordering experience would have been more welcoming than what I received today.

Their prices seem to be very typical retail price (you can probably find a better deal online) but if you like the personal touch of demoing the machine and knowing you can get it serviced where you buy it, then this would be the place for you. They have sewing machines, sergers and embroidery machines and they do cleaning and repair of machines as well. I asked about the prices and while they vary from machine to machine (and repairs required) the prices weren't astronomical. They're open on weekends for a few hours in the afternoon (Closed Sundays in the summer I believe) so be sure to call first and check their hours.

The store sells and services sewing machines, sergers and embroidery machines. They stock embroidery designs, threads, stabilizers, needles, rolling totes, chairs and sewing cabinets. The walls are adorned with examples of finished projects done in classes or embroidery club. Take one of the classes that are offered to be truly impressed by the helpfulness and knowledge of the staff and owner. Chris offers a discount on purchases made at the time of class. I have gone to three embroidery club meetings and all the material was supplied, the design(s) and all precutting done for me. The cost averages out to $9.83 a class. (It varies depending on the supplies she has to buy.) There are at least two employees available during the whole session to help with questions/problems. We all have a fantastic time. I purchased a high-end sewing/embroidery machine from Chris and could not be more pleased with the price and her integrity. After sale support is phenomenal. Having purchased three other machines elsewhere I feel I can honestly say phenomenal and it's not hyperbole. Stop in; you won't be disappointed.
