When I calmly educated the staff on service dog protections, rather than acknowledging the error and moving forward, the situation escalated in a way that felt punitive. Ashley converted my straightforward intake into an in-person interrogation-style interview. Taylor then withheld permission for Ashley to schedule my actual intake appointment, pushing my care back two full weeks. For someone seeking mental health support, two weeks is not a minor inconvenience. It can feel like an eternity. What troubles me most is the question this raises: if a facility cannot follow well-established federal disability law, one of the most basic legal protections afforded to people with disabilities, what confidence can patients have that other standards of care are being upheld? A mental health facility should be a place of safety, dignity, and compassion. What I experienced was the opposite. I cannot in good conscience recommend RedPoint to anyone seeking professional mental health care in Longmont.

Although Redpoint presents itself as treating both mental health and substance use, my experience was that much of the curriculum and treatment approach felt heavily centered around substance use. As someone dealing with mental health concerns rather than substance use, I often felt that the programming was not well aligned with what I actually needed. What was particularly disappointing was reaching a point where I needed additional support and being told that residential treatment was the appropriate level of care, despite being unable to pursue residential at this time. Rather than feeling supported in finding an alternative level of care that addressed my mental health needs, I felt abandoned by a program and community I had trusted. Mental health treatment needs to recognize that not every person struggling is struggling with substance use. The distinction matters, and treatment should feel individualized rather than built primarily around one population. Based on my experience, I would encourage someone seeking treatment solely for mental health to carefully consider whether Redpoint's approach and curriculum are actually suited to their needs before enrolling.

Tribe recovery helped me to get and stay sober for an extended period of time. Like any recovery…read moreprogram it has its really great points and some not so great points. I'll tell you my story and my impression after. I had finished doing three months in Denver detention center to get off probation for a DUI and like an idiot the first thing I did was buy a bottle of whiskey to celebrate not having to do UA's for probation anymore. I thought I'd be able to manage it on my own but I'm a true alcoholic and once I started I couldn't stop on my own. My Mom had basically had it with me being chronically depressed and self medicating and put me on the streets (deservedly so) so I went to a place I'd heard about in jail called the second chance center where they gave me a referral to Tribe. One of Tribe's therapists (John) happened to be there at the time and offered me the opportunity to come to tribe and promised me that I'd get the opportunity to get my life back as long as I was willing to put in the work. He was absolutely right. Tribe's 9 month program starts you out at an intake house for the first month at least. If you don't already have a job they pick you up in the early morning to go to their main office Monday-Friday. Once there you are expected to be looking for employment and if you don't already have ID, Social Security Card, Medicaid, food stamps, etc. they will help you get them. They also have mandatory group therapy and relapse prevention classes during your time at the center which I found extremely helpful. Once you find employment the only times you are usually required to go to the center is for UA's and 1 on 1 therapy. You are assigned a therapist that you will see at the trac center at least once a week and in my experience all of the therapists on staff are great as long as you are honest and not just blowing smoke up their butts. Once you're out of the intake house you are sent to one of the other houses for (usually) the duration of the program. House meetings are once a week with a peer navigator present and chores are assigned at that time as well as a time to acknowledge things that are going well or needs improvement in the house. My house was really great for the most part. Residents are required to attend a certain amount of weekly AA, NA, CA, or other recovery based meetings which have to be signed by the person leading the meeting. Usually one or more peer navigators will help shuttle people interested in it but ultimately it's up to the residents to make sure they get their meeting requirements met. If you show that you are invested in your recovery Tribe will notice and they pick their house managers based on this. I was offered the position but declined as another resident had a car and I wasn't able to have my phone on me during work hours so I became the assistant manager instead. After a couple months of being in my role I had a few unforeseen life issues and rather than asking for or acknowledging that I needed more help I eventually relapsed and was sent back to the intake house where I was put on a deservedly strict contract and therapy regimen but I didn't want to start from scratch after finally having my own room with a lock on it for the first time in four years so rather than stick it out I made the horrible decision to drink and not come back to the house and lie about it and I was discharged the next day. So in summary Tribe is a great program as long as you are willing to invest in your own recovery and take ownership of your own actions. I highly recommend it for anyone who is serious about getting and staying sober with the hopes of getting back into independent living.

This is a drug and alcohol rehab for men and there are 13 steps of sobriety that they have to go through. I am so proud of the men that check into this place because they pretty much have hit rock bottom and they are guided through help to get their lives back. We have been donating there for years. Anytime I travel I collect all those little toiletries bring them back and they are donated along with men's clothes and shoes and other things that I might purchase to help people get their lives on a good path again. If you know anybody that is serious about getting help, I WOULD RECOMMEND this place, they have to be responsible and be serious about stopping their addictions.
