Gabriel Usatynski has some positive attributes but in the main she is a terrible therapist. We…read morehired her for 4 sessions and after a 45 minutes interview, told us what our relationship with our mom's were and if we disagreed, castigated us and demanded that we disprove her crackpot theories. She then pushed those theories on us with very little inquiry into what was actually going on in our relationship ship. The "therapy session" devolved into an argument about how she knew better than we did what relationship we had with our moms when we were between 3 and 13. Needless to say we fired her. The entire process was super toxic.

I'm not sure how I'd contact the authorities about this mal practice especially since it's been so long but I repeat NEVER COME HERE.

I was referred to BEM from my Naturopathic physician following the death of a loved one. Living a…read morefew thousand miles away from home can be challenging in many ways and I found not physically being there for my family (and myself) difficult. This wellness center offers much more than anywhere else I've encountered. They are happy to help you discover and explore many avenues including increasing success in athletics, public speaking, test taking, and social interactions. Therapy in outdoor settings is also available with some of the therapists. When you arrive you are welcome to make yourself a hot cup of tea and relax on the couches in their waiting room. The therapy rooms I've seen have comfortable seating (set up like a living room) as well as sound machines to ensure your and others privacy. Overall I found my interactions and time here extremely valuable and I've referred a couple of friends here as well. If you are looking for someone outside of your social/family circle to speak to about something or you are simply looking to improve in public speaking/social interactions this is the place for you. * I do want to note that there is a fee scale so be sure to discuss this with your therapist at your first meeting. My understanding is that although they accept checks they will also accept credit cards (there may be a fee for processing the credit card payment).

Just the task of finding a Doctor that I felt comfortable with was something I dreaded and that…read morealone, was enough to put me in therapy. But I completely lucked out in finding Dr. Kennedy in this crazy city and I'm really grateful. Though this is my first experience with any kind of therapist, I can tell that he's seriously talented at what he does. I actually look forward to my appointments and feel better leaving them. I understand he specializes in LGBT issues, but that's not what I went to him for. I saw him for family-related therapy, but I suppose it just goes to show how versatile he is. After a month of what I would consider intense therapy at a fast-pace (my choice), I felt like a completely different person, with a better understanding of a situation that had me feeling completely confused and overwhelmed. He's sensitive, understanding and also was encouraging, which surprised me. I didn't know what to expect going to a therapist... maybe criticism, a wake-up call, who knows... but I actually felt like he had a vested interest in my well being and was cheering me on. He praised me on how hard I was working to get resolutions and confront fears and situations that were very difficult for me. But he only gave praise when it was due - which makes it feel more genuine. His office is in a building that reminds me of an old school, and it's centrally located and easy to access from the N or R trains. The waiting area is just two chairs outside of Dr. Kennedy's office and another Doctor's office, but the doors are surprisingly sound-proof. I was afraid that people sitting in the waiting room would be able to hear my loud speaking voice, but I realized while sitting there myself, I couldn't hear a thing. It's a decent sized-room with a sofa, in a professional setting and he always has a full box of tissues on the side table. He also has a good online service for you to communicate with him, book/see/cancel appointments and even text message alerts for upcoming appointments, which I appreciate as a busy individual. I'm not completely done with my treatment, but I know that with Dr. Kennedy as my Doctor, I'll be fine. In such a short amount of time, he's helped me tremendously and overall seems like such a genuine person. The doctor/patient relationship quickly feels as comfortable as a friendship. He remembers all of my family/friends' names that I mention during treatment and uses them himself, which makes it feel so much more personal. I definitely recommend Dr. Kennedy. You can't go wrong with him and if you're looking for someone who cares and someone you can really open up to and share everything with, he's the doctor for you.

He also specializes in body image issues, but is capable to discuss any issue. His office is comfortable, relaxed, and his practice challenges you in conversation, while also making you feel like you are talking to a trusted friend. I had to stop seeing him because my insurance changed (he does take some insurance), but I cannot recommend him enough for both men and women and hope to be able to .
