When we did my first regression therapy, I was super nervous and anxious about what might crop up. She really made me feel at ease once we discussed expectations and the logistics of the process (for my monkey brain). Learning to be my own healer has been a process but Vanessa has been so instrumental in guiding me along the way!

Theresa has made a believer out of me!…read more I was skeptical about rolfing at first because I hadn't gotten much relief from therapeutic/medical massage. I was a little leery of the cost of a 10 series as well, but let me tell you it's worth every penny. Even my chiropractor keeps commenting on how much better my problem areas are! I've been under chiropractic care for 16 years and have seen many healers of several different modalities, and I can tell you that Theresa is a natural born healer with a gift for realigning a body.

At the beginning of 2017, a friend told me about this painful massage called 'Rolfing', and I…read morestated 'Sign me up!' I did one session, and fell in love. It took me the better part of a year to find a rolfer that I wanted to go through the 10 series with, and this is the one thing I stress to everyone. Find the right person, as you will be spending 10 sessions (in my case, 12) with this individual. I did the 10 series as a way to learn more about my body, correct issues I had noticed, and to steal Theresa's words 'be the best version of myself.' I went from being able to tell when something was wrong with my body and the reason, to constantly checking in with my body and noticing small things I did throughout the day that could/would add to pain I experienced later. Yes, this is very focused on myself, my experience, and how my body feels now. This is ALL due to Theresa, and her way of understanding my ramblings of how I was feeling. She worked on areas that didn't match what I had just described, but she was quick to explain why. She would also check in before, during, and after the session. This impacted my ability to understand my body and taught me so much more about my body. She is also amazing at talking about the most random things, which is nice when you are going to be spending 1.5 hours with someone every week. I have had 12 sessions with her due to needing to take a break at two points to focus on pressing issues. The first time was to focus on some shoulder pain that I have experienced on and off for years, and after Theresa's attention, the pain started to disappear and I was able to understand what I was doing to add to the pain. The next time we took a break from the 10 series was when I had a sinus infection and came into her office just crying due to the pain I was in. I had seen a dentist and, eventually, a doctor. Neither of them relieved the pain the way Theresa did with a face massage that left me not needing to grab pain killers. Please, please find the right person when you decide to go through this process. I am pretty sure Theresa will be that person for almost anyone. :) And if you aren't big of Rolfing or completing the 10 series, Theresa is still your person in addressing issues you are experiencing with your body. I can't say enough good things about her to describe my satisfaction.

I called Allison after experiencing serious back pain and having tried Chiropractors, massage,…read moreyoga, etc....I was desperate for an alternative. So far I am 4 or so sessions in, but what an amazing difference! Allison was able to diagnose some "flaws" in the way I use various parts of my body for movement in the first session. Beyond the actual session she was able to give me some easy tips to continue working on that have made an incredible difference in how I feel and move. I literally need to make simple adjustments to how I sit or walk and immediately I notice a difference. As an aside, after reading the reviews I was a bit nervous that her technique was NOT painful. Everything I read was about how rolfing solved problems through painful manipulation. I wondered if, since her's was a less painful method, it would still be effective. A+ for Allison - I am just impressed by how she interacts with my body and solves some years long problems with simple adjustments to how I think about movement and again her (mostly) pain free body interactions. If you experience re-occurring body aches or know your body needs to be better balanced, give Allison a call!

My latest session from Holly this past week was very attuned and caring. I felt very cared for thru the whole process. She even used sound bowls and I was very relaxed and dropped in. So far my integration is shifting me into a great place energetically (I am also an energy healer and bodyworker) and I am falling back in love with my work because I am taking better care of myself. I am so grateful for Holly's presence at this time and feel my energy is more open and safe and free. Immediately when I met her I felt cared for and safe. She started the session and intuitively picked up on the issues I was having that day almost right away. During the session I felt I could let go and deeply relax and enjoy the healing taking place. I thought my symptoms went away because I was just so relaxed but when I left her office that day, I couldn't believe that my nausea and headache went away. And it went away for several days afterwards. I wasn't sure if I could feel that powerful healing again, until I went again and the same thing happened. I was blown away by the power of Reiki and her healing abilities. During sessions, I felt so many shifts within myself and I was able to feel this energy working its way throughout my entire body. She was able to give me intuitive advice that helped me in between sessions to take better care of myself. I could also feel that my baby was enjoying the reiki as well, as she'd move closer to Holly's hands. I had my baby in January 2020 and she is very healthy and has been a complete joy. I credit Holly to helping me have a healthier pregnancy and giving me and my baby that emotional and spiritual support. Holly exudes warmth that makes you feel restored and refreshed after every reiki session. She is easy to get a hold of and schedule sessions with. She never rushes and is always punctual. She's just a dream to work with. I hope everyone gets to experience Reiki with Holly.

I felt there was nothing to lose and no where else to turn. I did my research - she was in-network and accepted my health insurance but I also read reviews about her. Those reviews are what propelled me to give it a try. Not only has Sylvia addressed each of my issues individually and grounded me, she has helped me with a host of other non-related items such as health, nutrition, body temperature (always being cold) as well as fertility. I no longer have knee or back pain so ski season was a success this year AND I'm looking forward to being on the bike this spring/summer/fall! I would not recommend doing anything physical afterwards (riding a bike, gym, etc) and allow your body time to heal. I felt relaxed for days after a treatment. Every time I went - I was comforted by the herbal aromas, the warmth, the comfortable beds/pillows and the music. I found myself meditating during the "healing" process and felt not only rejuvenated but relaxed and pain free afterwards. Sylvia is a breath of fresh air from traditional Western medicine. Most doctors want to see you in/out as quickly as possible. They don't really listen and definitely don't believe in alternative healing methods other than medication, medication, medication. Sylvia takes the time to get to know you, to understand what's bothering you and recommends alternative ways to "heal" and be well in conjunction with anything you may doing with your regular doctor(s). She believes in healing with diet, acupuncture and herbal remedies. She specializes in women's fertility and is a wealth of information. She really listens and I truly respect her as a professional. I wish she would write a book! She sends confirmation emails for your next appointment, reminders as well as electronic receipts. She's very flexible too as I've had to reschedule a few times around work meetings. Sylvia and the Denver Center for Acupuncture receive 5 stars from me!!!

Furthermore, this is a review about a specific provider, not of acupuncture itself. Now, I could go on for days about my apprehensions about acupuncture, reluctance to give it a shit, frustration with my particular issues (sinus and digestive), and eventual willingness to give it a try, but that's not applicable to the review. You can track down my blog for that if it's something you want to explore. So let's talk about this business. Simply put, it is excellent. So is Sylvia. It's a great little building, out of the way with its own little courtyard and off-street parking (a rarity in this area!) There's one chair in the front room, and that's all they'll ever need, as there's rarely a wait. Appointments are honored on time, service is prompt but relaxed and always professional. Rates are fair, appointments are confirmed electronically, and everything is just awesome, convenient, and extremely comfortable. Cleanliness is certainly a factor, and this place is impeccably clean. There's so much to be delighted with. Sylvia is every bit as amazing as the space in which she works. (I'm sure these things tend to go hand in hand, so it's not surprising.) She's easy to work with, asks all the right questions, ensures you're comfortable, and does gets to work. After your acupuncture session (which will differ, I'm sure, depending on your needs), you'll find yourself in an uncommonly relaxed state. During this time, you'll want to focus inward on your calm bliss. Somehow, Sylvia manages to handle all the tricky administrative stuff (payment [even flexible spending accounts!], scheduling, etc) in such an easy, flowing manner that your calm is never disturbed. You float out of the office to your transportation. At this point, you're on your own for maintaining that blissful calm. Maybe take a few minutes to relish it on a bench in the courtyard before you dive back into traffic. :)
