The office looked nice upon arrival, but the overall environment felt cold and unwelcoming. The staff came across as dismissive, and the oversized exam room felt impersonal. During the consult, Dr. Davis told me reopening my original incision wasn't an option. When I asked why - especially given that I wasn't choosing very large implants and incision line had healed beautifully from my previous surgery - I felt rushed. His body language made me feel like my questions were unwelcome. I understand that extremely large implants may require a different incision approach, but I wanted a clear explanation for why my existing incision couldn't be used. I didn't feel that my concerns were thoughtfully addressed. I'm very grateful I continued my search. I ultimately had the procedure done with a different surgeon in Walnut Creek (the same office where I had my original surgery 18 years ago before my prior surgeon retired). When I asked where the new incision would need to be, he immediately explained we could use my existing incision. He noted that I had healed beautifully and that areolar incisions often heal very well and offer natural camouflage compared to the 3-4 inch incisions some surgeons make under the breast. My advice: do thorough research, ask detailed questions about incision options and techniques (including no-touch/Keller Funnel methods), and trust your instincts. No patient should feel rushed or made to feel like their questions about their own body are unimportant. I'm very thankful I chose not to proceed with this clinic. Update: In response to the owner's comment I'd like to clarify that I was not in a rush due to driving from the East Bay - I was staying locally that entire weekend and had set aside time for the consultation. Also refused to answer some questions twice, as though asking a question more than once was deemed unacceptable and non-billable. Said they only used "natural" products, and DO NOT use hydrogen peroxide, claiming "hydrogen peroxide isn't natural," but that is in fact the product they used. Lots of conflicting and contradictory information was provided. The esthetician seemed rushed and impatient. Applied the product so quickly and inadequately with her hair flopping around my mouth. Did not have good results. In fact, resulted in severe chemical damage due to lack of adequate gum protection applied. The before and after photos confirm chemical damage and gum recession. Save your teeth. DO NOT COME HERE. It's a business that's purely focused on making money. Their clinical practice questions their moral character.

Ten months post op I had a serious complication that put me back in the hospital at UC Davis Medical Center although it wasn't because of anything Dr. Eslami did wrong. But the Bariatric Surgery team at UC Davis was shocked that I had no surgeon. If you have other options consider them. I honestly don't think Dr. Eslami is a bad surgeon. I think he's fairly competent. I just don't think his head or heart are into Bariatric surgery anymore.
