She and her husband worked with local food specialty business from all over the laurentian mountains to create a shop that highlights the best and most tasty local specialty food providers; including local coffee, fondue, pies, wines, bbq sauces, nuts, spreads and more. Very friendly staff and each table provides you with location and a bit of history on the local providers. The building looks a bit commercial in the winter but the walls open up in the spring to feel more like a local market. Great stop for snacks and unique local gifts to take home. Easy access from 117 and plenty of parking. Don't do like us and go in here starving after a day of downhill skiing - or you will end up with a lot of food.

La Gare de Montebello) where there's also tourist information, ChocoMotive has a great selection of artisanal gourmet chocolates! (Btw, they also have a Transfair Canada license signifying they use only certified fair trade organic sugar and cacao. ChocoMotive also doesn't use soy lecithin. There's a window to view their chocolate production facility too! ChocoMotive definitely is also riding the "Pistachio is the new Hazelnut" trend, with their own Dubai Chocolate with different types of chocolate. Their Bonbons looked amazing, but after a week of non-stop overindulging decided to opt for 3 sugar free bars: Blueberry, Hazelnut and Pistachio Milk Chocolate. All three were sooo good! What a great little shop! We took the soccer team there as a treat after their last game of the…read moreseason and were all well taken care of with a friendly smile. The employee patiently answered questions while giving small spoonfuls of different ice cream flavours to taste. Luckily we weren't too big of a group but we were enough to take over the four tables inside. It was a very cozy and comfortable place I look forward to returning to in order to try their coffees (as I'm a fan of affogato :) )

I have tried them all and I would say that maple and strawberries are a bit too sweet for me. But they are a great change when you have taken the Belgium milk chocolate forever. I think they have around 10 chocolate dips. I am sure there is one to suit your fancy.
