I did a quick search for lunch places away from the ski resort, and I found this place in the Old Village of Mt. Tremblant (about 10 minutes away from the ski resort). It's a counter-service deli where you order from a (mostly) sandwich, soup, and salad menu and find a seat to wait on your order. On this visit, I ordered the Thai Noodle Soup with chicken, which was A+. Tony had one of their sandwiches and side salad, which he thoroughly enjoyed! (Their side salads aren't all lettuce salads; some are more like deli salads such as edamame salad, etc.) Everything was really, really tasty and filling, and I'd drop by La Sandwicherie again in a heartbeat! We arrived around 9:00 which is apparently late for this place as we had to wait a bit outside for about 45 minutes. It was a beautiful day and the nice chairs and picnic table outside make the wait almost enjoyable. After talking to some regulars which advised us if you don't want a long wait you have to come by 8:30 on weekends! However it is worth the wait! Seated in the cozy restaurant/house with only about 12 tables it felt like we were in someone's dining room. Starving by this time we pulled our hair out trying to decide what to choose from the delicious options on the menu. In the end she went for sweet and I went for salty. I couldn't have made a better choice! I got a grilled cheese smothered with house onion soup, hollandaise and a poached egg. Because my eyes were bigger than stomach I ordered a side of perfectly cooked bacon! I couldn't have been more happy with the breakfast dish. Simple yet creative and extremely hearty! The onion soup was rich and very flavourful and purposely not too salty which made the grilled cheese underneath fill that void! House made hollandaise sauce added even more richness to the dish making the perfectly poached egg gourmandese overkill. My lover's crepe dish was the complete opposite. Fresh crepes smothered in chocolate and a generous amount of fresh fruits provided the sweet to my salty on the table. Although perfectly prepared and delicious there was nothing particularly creative about the dish but it's just breakfast after all and if you are a sweet loving breakfast person this would be a perfect dish for you! My breakfast was so satisfying that we went back the next day and I ordered the exact same thing. I can't say enough about this place. Cozy, warm, welcoming, creative and woman owned and operated. I'll definitely be back and if you get there late and have to wait it's definitely worth it!

As part of the Westin, I believe. I've been traveling in Quebec for about a month, and this is one of top meals I've had. Also, they know how to treat a solo diner. I started with the best beet salad I've ever had. It was on a bed of pureed cashews, which added the perfect solidity to the beets and other vegetables. My main was salmon, and there was nothing wrong with this dish, but I could have gotten something like it anywhere. But it was the dessert that was absolutely amazing. That's a vanilla crème on an almond cookie and then infused with this Quebecois fruit called a melitot (I think). Like a subtle blueberry raspberry hybrid. The subtlety with the vanilla crème was perfect. If you have the unfortunate experience of staying in this village, definitely go here.
