I used Scarsdale Chocolate Works for my daughter's 11th birthday party. They came to my house and did chocolate pizzas and one dipped treat for 14 kids. At $25 a kid, it was totally worth it. They had fun and the people were good with kids. Also, the set-up was so easy (you could do this in any-sized home) and they were so flexible and responsive to my emails and questions. Also, I had a guest with a nut-allergy and one with a gluten-intolerance and they were both able to participate. Fully recommend! read more

Came here yesterday with my three year old daughter for a create your own chocolate mold workshop through kidpass. We had a great time! It was a fun cold winter day activity. Purchased a groupon and was pleased with the taste and quality of the chocolate, as well as the service that I received. I purchased an assortment of chocolate which my family was pleased with. My order included milk chocolate coconut clusters (crunchy not moist like I've had in the past but very delicious; toasted coconut perhaps?), dark chocolate almond bark, almond toffee squares (never had them where the almonds were salty but they were delish!), caramel pecan clusters, chocolate pretzels and potato chips, white chocolate Oreos, and chocolate Rice Krispies. The gentleman who assisted me, and who I believe was the owner, had a pleasant attitude and was very patient with me. Prices are not cheap but is probably in line with what you'd pay anywhere for freshly made chocolate. I'll definitely be back! read more

I have never been so warmly received and welcomed by any establishment in my life. It was my first time there but I was welcomed as if I were a long time customer. That is not an exaggeration. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by one of the owners who came from behind the counter to offer me a sample of their freshly made chocolate truffles. They offer a wide range of confections that will easily satisfy any chocolate desires a customer may have. They also host parties (for children, adults, and even couples), cater, and take on custom orders. I was even offered and in depth tour of the shop. They also have limited seating for people wanting immediate gratification and perhaps a cup of coffee or hot chocolate to go along with it. I suspect I will be sneaking off here on many a weekend morning to do just that. In the end, I chose to buy a box of the truffles that I sampled and will be going back to try the rest of their offerings. Exceptional service and exceptional chocolate. Thank you so much! read more

My kiddo had her eighth birthday party here yesterday and it was amazing. We had 20 children and it was a rambunctious group of kids (they are eight) and The Chocolate Works team was organized, fun, patient, and very relateable for the kids. No one was bored and everything was done like clockwork from helping in the set up ( we brought our own decorations and cake) and balling with bringing presents to the car. Seamless. Pizza was devoured and the kids loved the goodies they made. You can arrive with no decorations and the party room is still very lovely, btw. I highly recommend TCW in Scarsdale. I've had the pleasure of getting 2 behind-the-scenes experiences when my job took a trip here from the Bronx. We went into the back, and made our own chocolate shapes and on the other occasion got to have free ice cream! I'm honestly not a fan of dark/rich chocolate but this place is the exception. And not just chocolate, they have candy and other treats as well. The place is small but everything even the husband/wife duo make it a wonderful experience. Honestly this place is filthy - I don't know how they get away with it. The chocolate molds on the wall look dirty and old, the cases with all the truffles look messy, the tables don't look clean, and the place just doesn't seem very organized. I've also heard that they don't use soap to clean anything. I recently had my daughter's 4 year old birthday party here and I cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue. From booking the party all the way to the day of, everything was so well run and all went smoothly. The kids had the greatest time. The staff is so warm and friendly and have tons of patience with the kids. They go above and beyond what I expected so I definitely felt I got my money's worth. They explain the chocolate making process to the children, let them have a hands-on experience. They were able to choose their own chocolate mold, make it, and then let it set and decorate it with all different colors which they then took home as part of their goody bags. They were able to choose cookies, pretzels or marshmallows to dip in chocolate as well and offer the kids pizza too. Angela was wonderful to work with and really helped make my daughter's party a huge success. I highly recommend booking a party with them. They have it down to a science. We just had my daughter's birthday party there. I have never been to a place where everything ran so smoothly. Everyone working there went over and beyond in their ability to run a great party.
