We showed up without a reservation but we were still warmly greeted and waited just 10 minutes for a table. The inside is beautifully decorated. We ordered a variety of dishes to try. My favorites were Chicken Tikka-delicious and tender chicken served with a tasty green sauce Beef Pepper Fry-intensely flavored and tender beef served with flaky roti. This was my favorite dish. Very different and unique tasting. Fish Curry-tender fish in a spicy slightly sweet curry Chicken Chettinad-this spicy chicken curry was thick and savory We ordered plain rice and the bread basket to have with our meal. We enjoyed everything and highly recommend Colonel Saab!

It's a semi open kitchen and super clean, has lovely servers and hands down the BEST Turkish food I've had. The M-F noon to 2:00 lunch special menu is fantastic, generous portion and entrees include soft drink or wine. As of writing this review the lunch entrees were 9.50. I went for the Imam Bayildi (roasted aubergine topped with veggies and cheese). The plate came with a beautiful, incredibly fresh salad assortment and rice. My husband got perfectly cooked, marinated lamb shish kabob, again with the salads and rice. Before our entrees, the server brought a really lovely grilled pita with warm unique roasted onion dipping sauce. WOW! I had to resist drinking that from the bowl! To end, our server brought out 2 bite sized pistachio baklava and then 2 Turkish delight with the bill.

They provided complimentary warm pita with oil, red wine vinegar and cooked onion while we waited for our food. We started with sigara boregi which is deep flaky pastry stuffed with feta cheese and parsley. For mains, I had the kuzu sis, lamb kebabs, and my wife had the imam bayildi, stuffed eggplant. They both came with three sides, green cabbage, carrot and red cabbage. All of the food was delicious We definitely didn't need a starter since there was a lot of food with the mains. The best part is that M-F our mains and a glass of wine or soft drink were only £9.50 each. Service was very good and we'd definitely come back if we're in the area again.

Numerous characters of interest in this neighbourhood. This is a curious place, because Amoul has it in her to change the menu everyday. Both creative and original but the food is quite wonderful. Perhaps its exactly the type of food I am enjoying at this stage of my life which is why I would certainly venture back. I ordered the meatloaf - although on the menu it was called something else in Lebanese but the name escapes me. The ground meat was a mixture of lamb and beef, and it came with these wonderful pine nuts and a very arabic sauce. Alongside this classic raita (Yoghurt with cucumber) the combination was delicious, filling and healthy. My friend went for the seabass with spinach and tahini sauce - which was also exquisite. We both left very satisfied with our meals. Thanks Amoul!

I like their combination 'main + salads' option where you can choose 1 main from the selection of the day which usually includes a beef/lamb, chicken or vegetarian dish. And you also get to choose 2-3 sides depending how hungry you are. Sides include a range of yummie middle-eastern dishes - my favorites are hummus, tabouleh, spicy potatoes. They also usually have a special for the day. For example, they had a lentil soup and Shepard's Pie which looked amazing.
