It's bad enough when you've finished eating most kebabs and the guilt factor kicks in realising you've eaten enough fat and grease to make all those trips to the gym that week futile, but not this place. The meat is fresh, nicely cooked and with salad or rice you actually feel like you're eating a healthy meal. I've tried everything and my favourite is the shish kebab, but if it's your first time i'd recommend the mixed kebab as it has a bit of everything so you can see what your favourite is. It's not really a place to sit down and eat as it's small inside and mostly used as a takeaway and delivery service so I always have them deliver or call my order ahead and pick it up if I'm passing by. Delivery is quick, around 30 minutes, and it's a service you will want to make part of your weekly ritual.

And so I followed her advise, as well as the cooking instructions on the packaging later at home. And let me tell you, I was seriously surprised as how good this tasted. Indeed, the folks at Cook are definitely staying true to their motto: "Our food looks and tastes homemade (maybe even a bit better!)" I'm convinced of this great concept and I'm planning a trip to the Cook store in Muswell Hill as I'm typing this. The mixed veges and vegetarian curry were practically identical and the chicken tikka masala was sweeter than I was used to. A few helpful notes: the frequent flyer card they have set up is pretty forgiving (a free starter after three meals, a free main dish after 6 meals, and a full special after 10 meals) and they deliver within a 5 mile radius for free for totals above 10 pounds. Overall we had our first filling dinner in London and are planning many more deliveries from this place!
