Dinner was of excellent quality and presentation, my 2 pigeon breast starter was fantastic, my veal kidney main course was very well done but I'm not sure I'd have it again, and the cheese predictably good, others seemed delighted with their ornate desserts. Wines are of good quality. The service was mixed , one waiter was a little off hand, and could learn from the easy going style of it's stablemate the Ivy. Sadly for most of us (the other half of 1%!), it's a private members club.

However £6.50 for 9 par 3…read moreholes is a bit excessive and not really worth it for the overall condition of the course, especially when there are so many fine full size courses in the local area where you can play 18 holes for £15-£20. Went to the bar afterwards and ordered 2 CANS which cost £5.15. Understandable for pints but not for cans! When will these little places stop trying to rip off their customers!!

Good…read morefunction rooms for both private and business functions and a great board room for meetings up to 12. The course has been transformed over the last few years and the greens have been described as better than Wentworth! They are frighteningly quick. The course itself is challenging and on a par with most in the summer. Only let down in wet winter conditions where it can become a little boggy in places. And last bit not least, they provide free hi speed wifi making this a great business meet up location to work over a nice coffee!

If you ever get the chance to play this course then don't miss out. I didn't think golf clubs like…read morethis existed anymore, worderfully old fashioned clubhouse that seems to be full of ex-brigadiers, majors and wing commanders! You could certainly never complain that the place doesn't have atmosphere. The course is just as a Surrey course should be, plenty of heather to catch an errant drive and holes neatly screened from each other by mature greenery. I've been lucky enough to play here on several occasions and every time it has been presented in immaculate condition with very well kept greens and fairways. Not only that, but it never seems to get busy so you can have a hassle free round without any waiting for others infront. If you've never played here then you're missing out on one of Surreys golfing treats.
