Went to the bar afterwards and ordered 2 CANS which cost £5.15. Understandable for pints but not for cans! When will these little places stop trying to rip off their customers!!

The course is a great example of a course for all standards, using the water and narrow fairways give all golfers a challenge but not a mission impossible. Since playing there I have noticed a new housing development being built very nearby called Chobham Lakes and I can understand why. The course itself isn't too bad, it is very obviously a new course with the same blandness in places that is indicative of a course that has been shoehorned into a unsuitable patch of land but it does offer up a good challenge in places and some of the holes are excellent but on the whole it is bordering on being easily forgettable. Not somewhere I would recommend when you consider the wealth of great golf that is available in Surrey.

Dinner was of excellent quality and presentation, my 2 pigeon breast starter was fantastic, my veal kidney main course was very well done but I'm not sure I'd have it again, and the cheese predictably good, others seemed delighted with their ornate desserts. Wines are of good quality. The service was mixed , one waiter was a little off hand, and could learn from the easy going style of it's stablemate the Ivy. Sadly for most of us (the other half of 1%!), it's a private members club.
