I started going to Chiseled Gym in April 2016 and have been training with Jose Duran. In short, I could not be happier with the quality of the gym itself or the training I've received there. Aspects of other gyms that I've found bothersome have been removed from the equation at Chiseled. The gym is always very clean, the equipment is always in working order, there are no recurring membership fees to contend with, scheduling training sessions is a breeze, and clients can choose what music is playing. As for the trainers, both Jose Duran and Juan Vicente are fitness professionals of the highest caliber who teach and promote healthy living. They create a fun, supportive gym environment that is goal oriented and results driven. They listen to your fitness goals, create workouts to make those goals attainable, and track your progress throughout the journey. The workouts are always challenging, well structured, and well taught. Exercise form and safety are top priorities. Since I've been training with Jose, my body fat percentage has dropped and my lean body mass has increased. I'm seeing results that I was not able to attain prior to Chiseled. I'm a 43 year old graphic designer with 3 kids that unfortunately doesn't get much time to exercise. Last year I wanted to start training for a Spartan race so I came to Juan to see if he could get me ready for it. I didn't think I would be able to get my body prepaired for such a intense obstacle race in the short window of just over 3 months however Juan's expertise in over all fitness and diet got me more than ready for the race. Juan definitely know's what he is doing and did an excellent job of getting me ready physically and mentally in a very short amount of time. There is NO way I would have been able to to do that race with out his training and advise. He was able to judge what my body could handle and push me to my limit with out injury. Which is extremely tough for a 43 year old man that sits at a computer all day. I am continuing my training with him now and seem to learn something new every time we train together. I typically had issues motivating myself to go to the gym, but I can honestly say Juan has changed my views about training. I started working out with them about 3 months back and I have never looked the same! There is so much difference in my physical appearance as well as how I perceive life in general. I finally found the right trainer! I had been to see a two different trainers in the past but they both seemed to want to push a rigid, one size fits all, approach and listening to where I was at in my weight loss story was pretty low on the list for them. Juan was just the opposite and I can say several months later that so much has changed for the positive under his guidance. I had a gastric bypass and had already lost 165lbs when I started with him but I needed to loose an additional 50 and also get some muscle mass back in the picture - he worked with me to put together a comprehensive plan and also introduced me to a local dietician who is amazing. I have been working out here for about 2 months now and have loved it. Thanks to the awesome trainers I have already learned better posture and technique and get so much more out of every workout than I have in the past. The trainers here believe in you and your ability to get into shape regardless of what fitness level you start out at. They will meet you at the level you are at and push you to get better and stronger. You can tell the trainers are really dedicated to your fitness. I have the opposite problem that most people have: it's very difficult for me to gain weight. For most of my life, I've devoted considerable effort toward working out 'my way', with the kind of mixed results that made me want to give up. A mutual friend referred me to Juan. I started coming to Chiseled a few months ago and have really come to enjoy it immensely. I work with Kaylin, and she has really pushed me to reach my fitness goals. I like that the gym is small; this allows you to really get to know the trainers and have a more personal experience with your workout. If you're a beginner and worried it might be too intense, don't be! I could barely lift 5lbs on some of the weights, but with the right guidance through Kaylin, I've been gradually building my muscles, becoming stronger, and regaining some flexibility.
