Having a past whiplash injury, being a backpacker, a student, and having a profession which often includes performing demanding physical labor, chiropractic is essential to my life. When I moved to Flagstaff, I was lucky to find Dr. Adham. He is a compassionate and engaged chiropractor who uses many techniques on his patients. I had never before experienced many of the techniques and equipment he uses, which may be a part of why this treatment has provided me with superior relief compared to that of other chiropractors. Although I haven't tried his correctional therapy, I'm glad to see that he offers it. He also is an advocate for improving his patients' consumptive habits, offering literature regarding chemical food additives and nutrition at the check out desk. I'm happy to see a doctor interested in correctional and preventative measures, which is rare in our for-profit medical system. read more

I can't imagine my life without the Chiropractic Joint and Dr. Adham. Personally, I've been cursed with a terrible neck and back. My life is miserable without regular adjustments. I've been visiting Dr. Adham (Doc) for about 1.5 years now. Doc and the staff are extremely friendly and just plain fun to see and be around. Doc starts by putting heat on my back for about 5 minutes, then relaxes the back with a massage tool. He starts by adjusting my back face down, then my neck face down (my personal favorite). He then adjusts my mid/lower back on each side, and finally my neck again while lying on my back. I typically do neck "traction" which helps restore the curve in my neck. I wasn't a fan at first, but it's really helped my neck a lot. Some patients do back traction as well. Doc does do open adjustments. All 3 adjustment tables are in the same room. I must admit I thought it was a little weird for the first 2-3 adjustments (I'm a little more introverted), but have loved it since. I've gotten to know several other patients. Even if you don't think you'll like the open adjustments I encourage you to try it out for at least a few visits. Doc has always been very fair in his pricing as well. read more

I work a very physically strenuous, full time job, and after months and months of constant pain, I decided I needed to see a chiropractor. A simple google search lead me to Dr. Adham, and I am thrilled to have found him. At my initial appointment, he was extremely thorough and informative, necessary, as I had never seen a chiropractor before. Our conversation centered on how many different factors play in to the physical pain we experience, and I appreciated his focus on how important it is to listen to the body and stay in tune with what it might be trying to tell you. I've seen him three times now and I feel better than I have in years. His assistant is kind, helpful, and incredibly capable. Every patient is welcomed with friendliness; it's wonderful to see an office that cares so much about each patient. Dr. Adham is definitely THE BEST chiropractor I've ever been to. Injured with 12 pelvic fractures resulting in permanent sciatic nerve damage and a limp for over 30 years, I visit The Joint whenever I'm in Flagstaff because I always leave walking WAY better than when I go in. Dr. Adahm is not just a chiropractor. His knowledge of physiology and the time he spends with patients, watching their posture and gait, recommending a visit to orthopedic specialists as needed, are invaluable. Just a heads up, I've been to chiropractors where the appointments were 15 min long, but that is not the Chiropractic Joint's style. Dr. A really cares about his patients. His practice is definitely up and coming, with some already-great aspects. I was seeing him for about a year, and I was very happy with the space, the staff, and the doctor. Everyone is friendly. Everyone is honest. And you are treated like an individual. Your aches and pains are always addressed. The only reason I don't see Dr. A anymore is because I moved out of state. read more

At first, I was skeptical that anyone could help with my migraines. I've been to chiropractors, physical therapists and family doctors before with no luck. When I heard from a friend that Dr. Adham was different from most, I decided to give him a try. His traction technique looked intimidating but my migraines are completely gone! He was actually able to correct the curve in my neck, which was apparently causing the migraines. I would recommend him to anyone. Don't believe the other reviews! Dr. Adham and his staff being nice is the only truth in these reviews. The experience I had was extremely sub-par of a chiropractor with an MD. I showed up, on time, for a 9 AM appt. as a new patient with all my paperwork already filled out and they kept me waiting 45 minutes before the Dr. even acknowledged he had someone waiting. They were short a person, and had the Dr.'s wife helping, so I won't harp on them for the 45 minute long wait. I have been to multiple chiropractors/myropractors in my time and have never seen anything like this joint. When they realized I wasn't a ghost the Doctor took me into a private examination room to see what was wrong with my knee and lower back. He was in a huge hurry since he had other patients waiting out on the massage tables for him, so he blew through the examination trying to squeeze in small talk to distract me from the terrible wait. After the examination, they bring you to the main room where all the patients are getting working on. Each one moaning and groaning, of course. For the 30 minutes I was actually being "worked" on, all they did was: throw a heat pad on my back, use a thumper (cheap massage instrument which vibrates your muscles), Dr. Adham cracks my back for five minutes, then I get sent to a back-massaging table, which looked to be from the 70's. That is ALL, Dr. Adham?! I would much rather lie on the floor in a quiet room and have my dog walk on my back. Pros: -Nice staff -Area for kids Cons: -No way to relax. Everything is in one room with EVERYBODY --TV is playing for Physical Therapy patients right next to the massage tables --Massage tables are RIGHT next to each other (hearing other people groan = gross) --cheap wooden floor that the Dr. scoots around on with his rollie chair is very loud --automatic back-massage-thing and thumper hums very loudly -Have to pay extra for a private room or an actual one-on-one massage -All equipment is extremely cheap and old --only tools a chiropractor needs are their hands and elbows -Doctor works on multiple patients at once Overall, it was a terrible experience! If you do decide to go, then get the private session with someone actually focusing on a certain area. (i.e. lower back, neck, knee, etc.) read more
