I have been dealing with back and neck problems for several months and my husband suggested I find…read morea chiropractor, but I never saw one and was not a fan of seeing one. I finally broke down and started my search for one covered by my insurance. I wanted a chiropractor that has been around for some time, in a convenient location, trustworthy, and reputable. Unfortunately, most chiropractors in the area were either new, in a bad location, or had a ton of bad reviews. I was really surprised with what I found. Dr. Schaffer seemed to be the only chiropractor with excellent reviews and was very involved with his community. So I made an appointment. The first appointment was very long, about two hours. They had me get the paperwork completed, watch educational videos, run tests, and then meet the doctor. Dr Schaffer was very warm, friendly, and just wanted me to feel comfortable. I truly appreciated that because I was uneasy about having chiropractic care. He answered all of my questions and did the first adjustment that day. I am on a care plan, but I am very pleased with his work so far. I am feeling a lot better and can sleep at night. I am still waiting for my insurance to process their claims, but it seems to be inexpensive for everything I am having done. If anything changes with billing I will update the review. I am going to see if my husband can come here next for his back problems. I highly recommend anyone to come here.

Unfortunately, I have not had a positive experience and have decided to continue my care elsewhere…read more I have been dissatisfied with the explanations provided regarding my injury. When I asked for clarification, the responses felt vague (e.g., "muscle strain" or "tension") and did not provide a clear understanding of what was actually occurring. After seeking a second opinion, another chiropractor was able to perform an X-ray and provide a more detailed diagnosis in one visit than I received after three sessions at your office. Additionally, during my last visit I waited approximately 20 minutes before the massage therapist entered, and the treatment was performed on the opposite side of my body from where the injury was located. At that point I needed to leave to return to my daughter and did not have time to address it in the moment. I am also unclear about the $50 deposit I paid. I was told my insurance covered the sessions and that the $50 went toward a balance, but I was never informed what that balance was or provided with a receipt. They are super sketchy and evasive when talking about payments. Do not recommend.

However, there is some historical cross-over that's getting mixed up. The gentleman in the photo with the salt and pepper hair sold the business to another man (who is bald and much younger). He has been the owner for several years now. A friend of mine referred me to this practice and I learned that he doesn't believe in marketing beyond word-of-mouth so he hasn't taken steps to correct any of this. Which is fine, not everyone has time or interest in online apps and marketing and rely on people like me, I suppose, to spread the word. So here I am. I've had two appointments now and have found relief from an issue that's been plaguing me for almost 2 years. I've been in and out of chiropractic for 25 years at this point and this guy is the real deal. He's conservative in his treatment. His initial intake consultation took almost an hour (but I have a complicated spine history) and there were no pressure tactics. No scare tactics. Just a lot of consultative 'here's what I can do, what are your goals?' kind of conversation. He has a hydraulic table which is something I need for low back distraction. He has an ultrasound machine. He has an activator (for pin point adjustments - the 'clicker' device some chiropractors use). And he has several modalities for working on your muscles (hands-on and various massage and percussive devices as well as cupping). And he takes COVID seriously and masks appropriately. He's the real deal and serious about helping you heal. Not make a quick a buck are making you pay for some plan in advance.
