Like others have mentioned on here, I had a very poor experience with this business. My copay for a chiropractor was $20, but they told me I owed $100, and that they couldn't verify my benefits and I would have to pay out of pocket, then UPMC would reimburse me. My explanation of benefits online updated to say that UPMC had paid, and when I called Mindy she said they never received payment. I emailed her a copy of the statement from UPMC and she never responded. I called back twice more to address the issue, and she said she was too busy to get to it. This chiropractor is corrupt, double-charging clients, and *not* worth your time. Normally I don't leave negative reviews online, but if I could go back and tell myself what I know about this business now, I would never have gone. Stay far away! read more

This practice was recommended to me by a friend. Not your run if the mill chiropractor, to be sure! From the receptionists to the docs, I am impressed! They have all the most modern equipment and facilities. The New Patient Special going on right now included x-rays and an individualized review with doc. Something I never received from a previous practice...no x-rays at all there. I wanted more precise communications with the doctor and staff - and that's what I'm getting, so far, here! I have been visiting chiropractors for more than 40 years, and have to say Dr. Matt gives the best adjustments ever! Finally, someone who can truly open up my back and hips and adjust his treatment to my specific needs each visit! I feel so much better when I walk out of his office. Ridiculous and Wrong. Beware, very poor customer service. Their first customer visit includes an evaluation.They charged $39 dollars to perform tests and then demanded a charge for ANOTHER $69 at a SEPARATE appointment to find out the results of those tests! I thought things were fishy when I was having my card ran after my first appointment without any test results being shared. I asked the front desk assistant (and then later had another say the same) and was told I wouldn't have to pay again. Next day I get an email from their insurance specialist, then later a call from their director saying that the second charge non-negotiable. Even when I asked for a refund, I was denied my money back! I've never been to a doctor/mechanic or any other service that charges for an evaluation, then demands a second appointment (and CHARGE) before telling you what they've found! read more

I unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience. I called in first to see if they accepted United Health Care Insurance and they said they did. I made an appointment for later that day because my back was sore. When i walked in no one said hi or told me what to do. Eventually after waiting ten minutes the girl at the desk asked me to fill out paper work. I must have filled out ten to fifteen forms. Then after them taking my insurance card and paper work the doctor gave me a tour of the place. I found this really odd as they led me to a exam room and made me change into scrubs because i was wearing jeans? They they then did xrays. They found my hips were out of alignment and my spine was straight up and down. Personally i think the doctor did not like me because of the way he treated me he was obviously jewish and didn't like that i was a Christian. (Because of my shirt) But this is my opinion. Upon leaving they said i owed 49 dollars? My insurance covers my first ten visits i said nicely, but she said they didn't know what my benefits were? So they charge every new patient this rate. What kinda of legit doctors office doesn't know that? They never once mentioned this fee until after services were given. i agreed to pay upon next visit. During the week i get a call saying they don't accept my insurance. She said they don't take this version of United Health Care. But they took it at the front desk and said it was fine. So because of this they want me to pay 60 more dollars. This really irritated me because i checked all of this ahead of time and they did not keep their word. I sat down and talked with Jenn the billing manager She was not very nice, She said if i didn't pay she would turn me in for collection. (For 60 bucks it would cost them more than me lol) anyway leaving angry and quite irritated i waited a day and called Dr. Matt to explain to him the situation. I have been under the care of Dr. Matt and his skilled team at Chiropractic 1st for over 7 years. The Drs. are experts in their field and intuitively know how to relieve pain and increase mobility with gentle and effective adjustment techniques. My back pain and overall health has greatly improved while under their care. The office staff are friendly, professional, and accommodating. The office is trendy and tranquil, it feels more like a peaceful spa than a Dr's. office. Also love the roller tables and I am looking forward to trying my first back massage soon! read more

This place seems to have its priority on setting the next appointment. I arrived there with a very sore and stiff back. The 'adjustment phase of my visit was very painful. I could understand some pain but just a little explanation would have made it less stressful. When I told the chiropractor how excruciating it was the reply was, " of course it will be uncomfortable." Followed quickly with " the girls at the front desk will set you up for your next appointment." The uncaring rushed attitude of the practitioner and the sales pressure of the whole organization was a complete turn off.When I stated that I would not be needing another appointment I was not even asked why I was unsatisfied. I got a " sorry you won't come back and good luck". Will not be going back there. Ever. read more
