I have eaten in other branches of Chiquito's where the food has been ok, but I have to say that this branch is superb. What makes it so is not the food, but the lovely staff team. They have taken the standard chain restaurant approach to service, then added a layer of genuine friendliness and helpfulness making dining here a pleasure.
We have often arrived here after taking my MIL shopping at nearby Boundary Mill (so imagine: parched, tired, hot, shopped out - you get the picture) and left calm, happy and restored. Not bad for less than a tenner a head on the lunchtime menu.
So I'd recommend this branch highly. It never seems crowded. The booths are comfortable, and you can settle down for nachos, prawns or potato skins for starters. The bottomless drinks keep arriving (watch the caffeinated ones, or you'll be bouncing around the ceiling all afternoon). The mains include fajitas (highly recommended), enchilladas, chili and plenty of other choices.
We've never managed to order desert, but eventually we will learn to skip the starter and try something from the list - anyone for fried ice cream?
