After graduating college, it was pretty difficult finding a corporate job outside my normal food-retail stores. Most/some jobs on indeed, zip-recruiter, LinkedIn we're all SCAMS (I've had my fair share of these UGH), so it was definitely discouraging. I felt stuck and hopeless. My mom noticed and mentioned she'd reach out to her Agent. Luckily, Armina was still there! When I met Armina, I felt relief. She was super understanding, listened to what kind of job I wanted, made sure to over communicate and it was awesome! In such a short amount of time (maybe 2-3 weeks) she was able to find me a temp position I wanted within the government. I am fortunate to say I have been fully hired within the government! I have never worked for a staffing agency so this was my first time and the person that I had direct contact with, Ana Cruz, was terrible. Communication was terrible. Instructions terrible and now that I am trying to submit my hours she is continuously shorting me hours claiming that we took lunch BUT I NEVER DID smh. She was never there on site to help us through the process or to check if we were getting proper breaks/lunch. She assumed that the other agencies would do that, but every time I requested if I should be going on lunch they would tell me that they'll tap me out for lunch and they never did smh. Just disappointed in this rep I had and she really did not represent Kelly Services well. this is the first and last time I will be going through Kelly Services and Ana Cruz. When I began my search for a nanny-family in LA, I did my due diligence by shopping around looking at multiple agencies. I found that Michelle had the TOP RATED AGENCY ON MULTIPLE SITES and wanted to take a closer look. I read through every. single. review. I thought to myself, "Really? Every single person had a positive experience with this agency? That's just not statistically possible if she's really working with this many people..." I decided to set up a meeting. I drove to her office where we met to discuss particulars (what I'm looking for, what families are in the market for a nanny right now, what ages/salary/commute/hours I'm looking for) and the moment she opened the door and greeted me with a giant smile and her upbeat, positive attitude, I felt like just working with HER was my perfect placement! Once we started the process, Michelle was completely professional while also refreshingly honest and realistic in her suggestions. She really took the time to get to know me and what I was looking for and she only suggested me to families that she knew had the potential to be a "love match!" After looking at a few potential matches, Michelle called me to tell me that she had "found my family!" She said, "This is the one. Please go for an interview and see for yourself." So I did. This is the part of the review where I'm going to get annoyingly emotional. Not only did the family and I immediately "click," but Michelle had made sure that all of our stats were in alignment. The age range, schedule, amount of hours, commuting time, pay rate, expectations and needs happened to all align with what I was looking for. It was LITERALLY the PERFECT PLACEMENT!!!! Coincidence? I think not. Michelle is highly intelligent, professional, personable, understanding, diligent, experienced, communicative, and pleasantly charismatic and I owe my job satisfaction directly to her. Now that I think about it, maybe I should send over a bottle of wine. Thank you, Michelle, for just being so incredibly good at what you do. Never thought I'd be talked out of going with a hiring agency before. I could've sent another resume, I could've presented other skills that would apply, I could've adjusted my time frame but she did not really want to work with me and just wanted to get off the phone. I guess you get what you pay for. I have a degree and desireable skills that would translate to a variety of professional options, especially in manufacturing. Just moved here from out of state, too. But she did mention there were other agencies, so I will be checking those other ones out. I recommend everyone else do the same.

One of those relationships were everyone else can see the abuser is a self-serving tease with a knack for demolishing self-esteem and objectivity. As with most staffing firms, they promise a lot, talk themselves and you up at first. They even managed to get my friend a decent first assignment. Seemed promising. The recruiter was prompt and made him feel quite employable and able to move up and into something permanent soon. Well, things really soured. He was suddenly passed from agent to agent. His e-mails were ignored. His statement he needed out of a truly awful temp assignment was given lip service then ignored for weeks. In fact, it seemed more like they were manipulating him to stay in it while telling the company not to consider him for something perm because he did not like it there --- hmmmm, let's take the one thing that might have made him consider staying in the position, benefits and an increased role, and blow it. The kick in the teeth and the one star rating, however, was the treatment he received when he gave notice as he found something else on his own. Suddenly, he received a call and e-mail from his lately mute yes-man that actually had a tone of contempt he had not contacted them first as they supposedly had been working hard to find him something. Went with KForce because they placed my roommate at JP Morgan and she's been there for like 3 years now. They sent over this little spark plug right out of school that was lite on experience, but had good skill and was a fast learner. She cranked out all the stuff in 2 months (!!) but since we had her for 3, we had her partner on with some of our audit guys projects.
