My husband and I were here most recently on Black Friday 2025, and although the mall had mostly vacant storefronts, many people were walking around. The mall was clean and maintained, and a Christmas train was set up for children. My husband made an analogy and said that the mall reminded him of an old person who was dying but was in a nursing home that took great care of them (!). I needed to use the women's restroom, and an employee kindly told me its location. The restroom was located past the food court, which contained only some restaurants. The restroom looked old but was fairly clean and worked. During this shopping trip, I shopped in the Boscov's, Dick's Sporting Goods, and Shoe Dept. Encore. I most liked the Boscov's.

The Beaver Valley Mall is magnificent but dead. It's a large mall that is smaller than you'd expect…read moreon the inside, with a beautiful fountain at center court. The interior is very pretty for a mall, and there are cute gathering areas in front of two anchor stores. Many storefronts in the interior of the mall are vacant, and finding a reason to come shop is difficult. The mall is owned by Namdar Realty Group, a known slum lord. Unfortunately, the anchors contribute to the issues. The former Macy's is used by U-Haul for self-storage with part being offered for redevelopment. Rural King does not open into the mall. JCPenney is in the process of closing, which is sad as it's a nicer store for this chain. Boscov's will be the only anchor with access from in the mall once JCPenney's closes. Dick's remains as a junior anchor. The food court is still decent and includes Chick-Fil-A and China Max, along with others. It's a shame a mall this nice looking is in this condition, with empty storefronts everywhere. The future of this mall is uncertain at best.

My family raves about so i was excited to try it out. They do have some good deals.. Its like a giant Big Lots. Dont get me wrong, there were plenty of rugs.. like a whole different room for them, but they were hard to look through. Some rugs are on a wooden pallet.. (imagine 30+ rugs in the 5x7 section) You couldnt browse through them bc they were heavy to lift and look at. Also the price is UNDER the rug.. but you have to guess which side its on. They also have larger, more luxury rugs hanging. I wish this was the case for all of them. i bet a beautiful rug was at the very bottom of those pallets, but its was impossible to lift 29 other rugs just to look at it. I was really hoping this would be the place i bought an area rug, but browsing them just wasnt fun. My boyfriend was cranky and hates home shopping, so i called it a day after attempting to look for 20 minutes and getting no where.

I have a really hard time leaving stores like Marshalls & TJ Maxx without coming away with something! Yesterday I stopped in after work and they were completely fully stocked with new fall merchandise from shoes, to jackets, the sweaters to long sleeve shirts, you name it. They always have a ton of holiday decor, and lots of pet stuff. They also have children's clothing and toys. I tried on lots of shoes yesterday but did not buy any shoes. But they had so much great fall clothing that I probably tried on 10 things and came away buying 4 items. The discounts are great, and the sales are even better. I don't have their credit card, but if you do have the credit card you do rack up points I think for discounts. Because the shopping center is in Beaver County it is much less crowded than Cranberry and it's always easy to find a parking spot. It's in between Target and Ross. And there is also a Kohl's and a shoe store in the plaza.

I spend an eternity in there and usually walk out with my bank account so low, I'm on the verge of homelessness (hyperbole...mostly). It doesn't help that this particular location is nearly sparkling with cleanliness and just about every product is neat and in its proper place. They have a great selection of jewelry and perfume and they are actually my go-to when I need a fresh timepiece or a new pair of earrings. Their jewelry is a little more expensive than some other retailers, but they're of good quality and will last you a very long time. I love their array of home decor. I bought some paintings and assorted knick-knacks there years and years ago and they are still on display at my house because they're unique, still look as good as new, and receive a lot of compliments from guests. In my opinion, their bath and bedding section is top-notch and high-quality. My warm, fuzzy blanket I purchased from them eons ago is still in excellent shape and has only gotten softer and more comfortable over the years. The same goes for my comforter and sheet sets. You may pay a little more, but these products will last for years to come. I don't know if I'm the only one who has a bizarre graphic tee obsession, but on the off-chance you're like me, Kohl's will not disappoint. Their tees are one-of-a-kind and can't be found anywhere else. I just wish they had more of a selection. Overall, their entire clothing department is impressive and sometimes you can stumble upon some really good deals. If you, like myself, aren't swimming in cash, you probably won't find it prudent to shop here frequently, as they are a bit pricey (sometimes, I'd say, a little overpriced). However, if you feel like the occasional splurge for high-quality products, Kohl's is an excellent choice.

Love to know who made the decision & thout it be best to not only cost their company $1,000's of dollars so far that guests wudve spent, but also how much all the employees who've been milling the clock the entire 2-1/2 hours worth of time since the power originally went out.
