I called in advance to let them know of this, but they said that since the reservation was for five nights, they had to charge for five nights. I maybe could understand if it was a big holiday weekend or even a weekend for that matter, but it was during the week and the place was deserted. Now, the shallow part of the lake where most people swim has fish, however, they are not that big. The fish may brush past you but it is no big deal, they can't hurt you. Now, it is time for WHY I DON'T SWIM IN THE DEEP PART OF THE LAKE!!!! The fish in the deep part of the lake are COLOSSAL and they can latch on to you. Examples of the fish are catfish and GIANT carp. There was one lady that told me and my family that one time she was on top of a raft just vibing and a carp jumped on her which knocked her off the raft and she received a bruise from it . After the fish jumped on her, her sons practically wrestled the fish and brought it to shore, below is the image of the carp. Personally, I do get a bit startled by fish brushing past me, but it's nothing compared to what people have to endure in the deep section of the lake lol.

Blue hen falls I…read morestarted at the Boston visitor center. It's a great starting point for hiking. They have restrooms and a visitor center. I popped in before the hike to talk to a ranger about some possible options. I wanted to do the blue hen falls trail which is located across the street. The trail is 1.5 miles each way and ends at the falls. There is some elevation and stairs but I beautiful waterfall to view. Since I wanted to extend my hike a little longer I continued on the buckeye trail and was along the river part of the hike. I see a hawk fly low in the tree and several birds and frogs along the adventure.

I hiked the Brandywine Falls trail and the trail was paved and nicely maintained with steps leading down to the falls. Short 15 min 1 mile loop worth doing. Overall, the park is small but beautiful and there is no entrance fee and plenty of parking. Can be done in as little as 2 hours.

We get it, things break, but customer service should still be a priority. Luckily, the neighboring rental place called Dusty's had a boat available and were super nice and saved our day out.
